Color my world with family, friends and some time to be creative making cards!

Yellow and Blue

Hello, How did it get to be March 1st already? Wow, even with life being status quo and sometimes feeling a bit humdrum due to Covid, the days still seem to be flying by. Cindy is our hostess this time at Color Hues and she has two great hues of colors for us. As you can see the colors she has chosen are Yellow and Blue.

Card Details: I started off using an old Stampin Up stripes stencil to make my background. Then I stamped my leaves in blue, and die cut both of them and the white ones which are also from SU-Forever Fern. Then I found a much-neglected die cut from SU called Rose Garden and sponged a piece of cardstock before cutting it out leaving the white outline and putting it back together. Most of the color on the card was done with Oxide Inks. The greeting is from Verve! I adore the clear dew drops which I added from Honey Bee Stamps to finish it off.

I sure hope to see you in the gallery over at Color Hues. The Design Team rocked it as they usually do! Stay safe and healthy! Nanc’

  1. A very pretty card and wonderful cheery colors.

  2. The sunny yellow shines from your card Nancy.
We’ve had a really sunny few days here but today the wind was bitter so no gardening for me! I had a couple of sessions of cutting back last years tatty growth over the weekend! 🙂

  3. This is so pretty, Nancy! Such a beautiful yellow rose.

  4. This is just beautiful. Your inlay is GENIUS!!! I love the stripes, they really make the whole card pop, and adding that extra blue color is perfect. Gorgeous card!!!!

  5. More great SU products that I, of course, have never seen. I love the diagonal stripes on this card and the beautiful rose reminds me of a similar one I have from Altenew—this was the perfect use for it! Your card screams spring to me, so you know how much I love it! More snow and cold temps again here yesterday. Today is sunny, but it’s a LONG way from warm.

  6. I like this cheery combo of colors. The strips on the background are a pleasing place to put that flower. So interesting and classy. I have a card for this challenge too. Hope to post today.

  7. Nancy, I just love the bright hues you chose for this card, they are so cheerful! The stripes really pull the colors together, and the beautiful rose is the perfect focal point. I love how you inlaid the die cut pieces and used ink blending for a soft effect. Gorgeous, my friend!
