Color my world with family, friends and some time to be creative making cards!

Hello, Hello, Hello

Hello there, It’s time for Color Week over at Just Us Girls. Cecile has a fun and bright color palette for you to enjoy. Now, before you go asking me where on the graphic do you see yellow? I promise I didn’t use any yellow on my card. I used white pigment ink and a sponge with different size square stencils over my orange, red, and pink blended background. My good friend Carol shared this fun Bokeh Technique using squares with me. She found it over on Karren J’s-Stampin Stuff blog and I have linked it up for you HERE! And, you should definitely check out Carol’s card at Saw It Had to Make It. You can find it HERE! It is so good!

Card Details: The background technique is linked above. I made my own square stencils. The phone is from Papertrey Ink. The HELLO and word bubble stamp is from SU. The vellum underneath the phone warped a bit unfortunately. The scalloped circle is Sizzix and the stitched circle is SU. Pop dots for dimension.

I am linking my card up over at Happy Little Stampers Stencil Challenge also since I made my own stencil for my background.

Now, pop on over to Just Us Girls and check out the Design Team’s work and join us! Nanc’

  1. Thanks for sharing this fun and fantastic background technique. Not only does it look like fun, but it also makes a great background and the possibilities are endless. Your card is as cute as a button and I love the color combo. Mass produce these for the shop.

  2. LOVE this. It’s like that technique where you use circles with white ink but with squares. (Can’t remember the name of it.) I really like the look, and you nailed the use of those colors. GORGEOUS!!! I might have to try it.

  3. I’m with Judy. It looks like bokeh with squares and I love the look. I didn’t bring white ink with me so by the time I try it the phase will have passed. It looks great with the repeated sentiment rectangles and what a darling phone.

  4. I just had to stop by to check what technique you used to make this totally fab card! The colors are brilliant and the technique just makes them look awesome. And that lovely pink telephone just makes me want to have one at home!!! Spectacular card, Nancy!! ❤

  8. I am totally loving that amazing background! So creative to make your own square stencils. Love that darling little phone and your trio of hellos. I hope you are still getting out on the course and carding more birdies.

  9. I am soooooooooo glad you shared this technique with us Nancy. You have done an amazing job here. Fabulous in those rich colours. Oh and I looooooooooove that hot pink telephone. Hope you are getting plenty of phone calls hehe or are you calling us? Got to try this one out for sure….

  10. I didn’t even notice yellow, only the cool background that I thought was pattern paper! I love this card! That phone is so cute (I do own it and have used it many times). This card looks so retro! Love it!

  11. What a fabulous design! I love this bokeh technique using squares, it’s so creative and modern!
