Nautical at JUGS!

Hello friends, Today I have three cards for you that go with a nautical inspiration photo at Just Us Girls, where I am the hostess. If you know me, you know I do love nautical inspired cards and when I saw this fun photo over on Pinterest I thought it would be perfect for this time of year. If you don’t want to go the nautical route there are plenty of other directions you could go. For instance; You could just use stripes on your creation, or perhaps you could make a water themed card using a whale, or maybe even a Love you card. I can’t wait to see how you will be inspired if you choose to join me.

Card Details: This style of card will probably look familiar as I have made one similar to these before. I borrowed this fun background stamp and sentiments from a friend and it’s from Avery Elle. Thanks Carol. I masked off the center to leave an oval. Then I cut out my anchor on my Cameo. Last, I added the twine and various greetings. The fun dew drops are from Honey Bee Stamps and I adore them.

I hope I will see you over at JUGS! Take care, Nanc’

  1. I love your nautical theme and that sentiment is so special. My sister called me her rock.

  2. What a fabulous trio of cards!! LOVE this challenge, you have really nailed it. Great designs here! XO~

  3. How awe-mazing your trio of anchor/nautical themed cards, Nancy! Love them all!
Living in Alberta, I don’t often see/think about nautical/ocean/sea images, which is partially why few, if any, of those items reside in my collection. The couple I have – a teensy anchor and maybe a fish (?) – wouldn’t have done justice whatsoever with your fabulous photo. Soooo…change of direction for me! That said, I do LOVE red/navy stripes so I’m on the hunt for patterned paper. Yes, I could make my own but I don’t want wonky *grin*

  4. Super awesome trio of cards!

  5. Love those big anchors and your water backgrounds! This has been one of my favorite photos for our challenge! I hope things are improving for you. Hugs!

  6. You’d think living at a cottage on a lake would mean I have nautical stamps but no. I base my stamp collection on who I send cards to and for what occasions. I do love the look of your cards, Nancy. The background stamp is perfect with the anchors.

  7. Great photo inspiration this week, and your cards are all so pretty! Love that background stamp and your anchors. Love how they are all different colors/ designs.

  8. Wow, 3 cards and they are all spectacular !!! Love how they are a great variety of the design, you are so clever!!!

  10. What a great trio of nautical cards, Nancy! I love the wavy background and the twine you added to the anchor.

  11. These look so pretty; love the set!
