Christmas Poinsettias

Hello, I had a chance yesterday to play in the studio and I knew I wanted to join in with the latest challenge over at The Color Throwdown, so that is what I did. I fell in love with the colors they have this week as soon as I saw them. The colors are Pink, Mint and Grey. I will definitely be filing this color scheme away for future use. I loved it so much I made two cards! I now have 30 Christmas cards done for this year! Woohooo! I have to stay ahead of things personally, so when the Holidays roll around I will have time to make cards for the stores. I am pretty proud of myself considering how many other things I have going on right now.

My swirly wreath looks black in the photo but in actuality it’s grey.

Here is card number two.

Card Details: On the first card I had a great time making the script paper that you see in the background. First, I embossed a very light grey sheet of card-stock with a script EF, then I took a mixture of white and silver ink and dragged it over the raised letters. Then I came back with some grey ink and distressed it a bit. It looks way better in person. The dotted background die is from Sunny Studios. The Poinsettias are from Memory Box and made with some gorgeous ombre DSP I came across. The leaves and the free form wreath are from Stampin Up. I have used sparkly silver paper for all my accents. I love the way these turned out and I think I will be making more!

I am also going to link up over at Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge.

Thanks for dropping by and please stay safe, Nanc’

  1. I love this color combo too and your cards are gorgeous. I love the inked background on the first card but I love the second one just as well. The poinsettias are so pretty.
I am doing well and hope you are also. ((hugs))

  2. I am blown away by this color combo and that you used it for a Christmas card. I love them both, but if I had to choose, the first one is my fav.

  3. I love this colour combo too Nancy and hadn’t thought about how perfect it is for festive cards! Your poinsettia wreath is gorgeous and works well with that pretty border die. Vicky x

  4. Love these gorgeous dimensional poinsettias! Thanks for joining us at CTD!
