Hello, I hope you are ready for September cause here it is! Can you believe it? I certainly can’t!
We have a great challenge starting today over at Color Hues today, and it just so happens to be our One Year Anniversary! WooHoo! Can you believe it? I can’t! What a fast year it has been! First and foremost, thanks to all the Design Team members guests and participants that have embraced my new Challenge Blog this past year and made it such a success! You truly don’t know how much it means to me and how much all of you have enriched my life this past year. You and the team inspire me with each and every entry! God willing, we hope to be around for many, many years to come!
Oh, and guess what? In honor of us turning one today! We have TWO prizes up for grabs for this special challenge! The two overall winners will both be getting a Gift Certificate for $25 from Simon Says Stamps, just in time for STAMPtember! So make sure you come play along!
In other news, We have a brand new Design Team member starting over at Color Hues. Tracey McNeely–from In My Creative Opinion is joining the team. Welcome Tracey! A little back story about Tracey…When I was in the midst of creating Color Hues last year, I approached Tracey and asked if she was interested in starting this new adventure with me. The timing wasn’t quite right for her then, and I totally understood. However, things have since settled down for her and I couldn’t be more delighted to bring her on board!
Card details: The colors Karen chose for us still scream summer for this Florida girl, so that is where my creative mind took me. That and over to Instagram where I saw this fabulous card HERE and fell in love with it! I had to CASE it, straight away!

You took that card inspiration and ran with it for an absolutely gorgeous, summery card! I love the contrast of the black against the warm, summery colours. (Also, team summer all the way here!) Thanks for a wonderful year, and I like your idea of many more!

Congratulations! I can’t believe that a year has gone by already. Time flies when you are having fun and are successful. As for your card, I looked at your inspiration and I have to say that I love the colors, but the strip of white blows me away. Love it.

Nancy I just think your card is so fun! When I look at it I think of you in your beachy, sunny climate. Your flop flops are so cute and your blending is perfectly subtle! I absolutely LOVE your translation of the inspiration card! Perfect ink-blended background for the summery flip-flops and silhouette leaves! The deckle edges are an eye-catching touch! WOW!
