Hello-Happy Birthday!

Hello, I am back with my second post of the day! It is time once again for the next Topping at Seize the Birthday! Barbara is our fabulous hostess and she wants us to use either Faux or Real Stitching on our card and or projects. I was pleased to see that some of the other DT members joined Barb and did some real stitching on their cards, as I went the easy route and used stitched die cuts on mine.

I am also linking up over once again at the Global Design Project where they have a color challenge going on!

Card Details: Both tags are from MFT and cut from some fun DSP! The sentiments are a mix of Papertrey Ink and a Rubber stamp I have had for eons. The phone is also Papertrey Ink. The speech bubble outlines are from Stampin Up. Some silver twine, Nuvo drops, and dimensionals complete the card.

Now come on over to STB and check out my wonderful team’s cards and play along with us! Remember our topping is optional and any type of Birthday card will do.

Take care and stay well, Nanc’

NOEL

Hello, I am back today with a Christmas Card for the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge this week. It closes tomorrow at 3pm, I do believe, so you have a little bit of time left to play along. I loved this sketch as soon as I saw it and I am glad I took some time today to make something.

I have given myself two goals by the end of this month. The first, is to have all my DT commitments done through the rest of the year for all 4 of my Design Teams. It is a big goal but I am nearly there! I only need to make two more cards and those challenges aren’t picked yet, and I am patiently waiting. Well, nearly patiently. LOL And for my second goal…That one is to have all my personal Christmas cards finished as well. I am pretty certain that won’t be a problem as I only need 4 more of those.

Do you make goals for yourself as the Holidays approach to make things a bit less stressful?

I am going to join in the fun over at Happy Little Stampers for the Christmas Challenge.

Card Details: The NOEL, snowflake, and the green leaves in the hat are from Spellbinders, the snowman is from MFT and the small greeting is a new stamp I just received from a giveaway from Freshly Made and it’s from Papertrey Ink. The Postage die is new to me also and it’s from Hero Arts! I have wanted those dies for so long!

Take care and Happy Creating, Nanc’

Shakers!

Hello, Our new Design Team member Elizabeth, at Just Us Girls, is our hostess this week and she has asked us to make Shakers for our Trend this time around. If you know me you know that I am intimidated and struggle with Shakers and I don’t really know why. However, that is until now! Amy R from Prairie Paper and Ink has a video out that shows you how to make full panel shakers. I am pleased to announce that this was a game changer for me! I need to go ahead and donate all the unused shaker shapes I have purchased in the past, as I don’t think I am going back that way again. LOL But who knows! I have linked up the video for you above!

I am also linking up over at Happy Little Stampers for their Stencil Challenge of Anything Goes!

Card Details: This shaker was made with leftover packaging that I had yet to discard…thank goodness! If you look closely the plastic has a bit of a wave to it, which was a happy accident since I do have a beach theme. I regrettably tried to shade the flip flops with a Grey Copic. Most elements are from Honey Bee Stamps-Flippin Fabulous, the things that are not are… the two types of leaves and those are from Stampin Up. The stencil is from Whimsy Stamps and called Swish. I used Oxide Inks, Prismas, and some Copics to color. The stars I added to the Flip Flops are from who knows. The sequins mix I picked up at my local stamping store and it actually has shells in it. Super fun! Oh, and the bow on the flip flops is sparkle paper.

The inside of the card says…Flippin Fabulous! This card has already been received by the recipient…the sweet Darnell. I wanted to send it to her since she recently decided to stop the Twofer Challenge, and to tell her know how fabulous she is and to thank her for all the love she puts into this great hobby of ours. I hope it brightened her day just like she brightens ours. She still has another challenge blog that she runs called NBUS, you should definitely check it out!

I hope you will consider coming by Just Us Girls and checking out my fabulous teammates cards and then playing along!

Happy Creating, Nanc’

Non-Traditional Christmas Colors

Hello, Over at Happy Little Stampers-Christmas Challenge they are lookin for Non-Traditional Christmas Colors. So today I decided on the color Coral Cabana from Catherine Pooler. Love her inks! Yes, I have another Heart for you again today….sorry about that!

Card Details: The Stencil is from MFT, the Christmas Trees are Impression Obsession, and the tiny stars are the inside of a border die from Verve. They are made from Gold Glitter paper. The greeting is from Verve too and one of my favs! I have added dimensionals to the trees for height! Card looks much better in person. Too sunny outside today!

I made quite a few of these cards in various colors so you may see another one some time in the future!

Thanks for poppin’ in on me today! Take care, Nanc’

#yourethebest

Hello, I hope you are doing well or as well as you can be these days! I needed to make a thank you card for a prize I won over at Freshly Made Sketches from one of the DT members giveaways, and I wanted to incorporate some of the products I received into the card.

I have been wanting to join in the Addicted to CAS challenge of Nature that has been going on for quite sometime, and while I am at it, I always like to join in over at Happy Little Stampers this time for the CAS Challenge of Winged Things! I love both of these Challenge sites, so if you haven’t checked them out you should!

Card Details: I started off sponging my signature heart on a card base using Oxide inks, and when I went to stamp the peacocks feathers it didn’t stamp evenly. Yes, I know….I should have used my Misti but sometimes I am just too lazy and think…I can eye ball this…no problem. Well, instead of wasting the card I just die cut the heart out, I was going for more dimension anyways. LOL The Peacock stamp set is from Catherine Pooler and the greeting is from Papertrey Ink.

I really love this Peacock set and next time I will be more creative and use some color!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are staying creative, Nanc’

By the Numbers

Hello, It’s Sunday and I am back with the next Theme Challenge over at The Paper Players. The lovely Leanne is our hostess and she has picked a fun one for us! It’s all about numbers! As soon as I saw this theme coming up the pipe line, I knew what stencil I was going to use and it’s bu the crafter’s Workshop. I have made a card very similar to this one in the past.

This card wasn’t suppose to have a fall color vibe to it, but that is where my creativity took me for two reasons. First, my blending brush must not have been cleaned off enough and my orange Oxide Ink came out on the browner side of things. Then, the bottom of the card started off with tiny candles on it, and it became a hot mess, and I didn’t like it at all. So I ripped them off and ended up with some spots that I needed to cover up. I decided it was time to take a walk and think about it for a bit. I finally decided, why not embrace the fall colors after all, it is the beginning of September and break out some leaves. I sponged the white paper with the same ink of the background, and popped the leave dies up with some dimensionals. The sentiment and leaves are both from Stampin Up. I still don’t love the card, but I did save it from the depths of the circular file.

I am also going to link my card up over at Addicted to Stamps and More for their challenge of Birthdays!
