Happy Birthday for Color Week

Hello friends, Today over at The Paper Players it’s time for Color Week and Ann Marie has selected some a great pallet. For my fourth color, I obviously chose green. Don’t look too closely you’ll see that my polka dotted paper is not straight. I hate when the happens! It really, really bugs me? How about you?

Card Details: Tree, grass and deer are all MFT. The sentiment is a sticker and actually made out of wood and something I have had sitting in my scrap box forever. I put a piece of green behind the tree and then came back with a lighter color and pieced it back together in various spots leaving some still inlayed. I added the peach hearts and then finished it off with some quick Copics and Prismas on my cute little deer.

  1. Absolutely adorable! I love the inlaid pieces and sweet deer. The tree reminds me of a stencil my mom used to use for crafting way back in the day. It’s just as cute now! And I wouldn’t have noticed the uneven layer until you pointed it out! We’re our own worst critics aren’t we? Have an awesome week!

  2. Such a fun birthday card in the challenge colors! Love that cute image.

  3. Adorable, Nanc’! This tree and little fawn are just too cute. Surprisingly, it has a vintage vibe which I love. As Amanda has said, the tree looks like an old stencil tree from the 70’s, while the little deer reminds me of a vintage baby toy I have from the 1950’s. What an awesome job with the challenge colors! You made it look so easy!

  4. Cuteness overload! I love this little deer and your “scene” is perfect. Those papers are just divine…all in my favorite peachy colors! And that tree…amazing! Great job with the challenge this week, as always!

  5. Oh Nancy, this little guy is just too cute! Your mix of patterns is a perfect accent to the leaves on the tree. Love it!

  6. Oh Nancy, this is so cute! That little dear is precious! Your scene is just perfect to show off this little cutie! Great way to use the color combo! Love that heart tree, too!

  7. Your deer is so adorable! Pretty flowering tree and framing to make this card come together perfectly.

  8. Now that is adorbs! Love all the detail with the limited colors.

  9. This little deer is adorable Nancy! Love the way you used this week’s colours, your card is so fresh – and I didn’t notice the polka dot layer until you pointed it out 😉

  10. You know, I never would have noticed the polka dot paper…isn’t that funny how once we know it’s crooked, it’s ALL we can see. Lol! I do that so much. This is such a darling card in every way. That little deer is the cutest and your coloring is perfect. I love the fun mix of patterns and how the images are grounded in the grass. Super adorable!
