Stencil is the Topping!

Hello, The month is flying by and it is time for the next topping at Seize the Birthday! We also have a brand new Surprise Party Guest joining us! I would like to welcome Carol McFarland to the team for the next two months! Welcome, Carol! We are so happy to have you with us!

I finally broke the seal on this new stamp and die set from Pink Fresh Studio called Layered Bouquet and I did a terrible job die-cutting my stamped images. The stems don’t look so centered but the flowers were okay so I went with it.

Card Details: Pink Fresh Studio-Layered Bouquet, Stenciled Background- Honey Bee Stamps called Fluttering Hearts and the sentiment is Stampin Up.

I sure hope you will pop on over to STB and check out what the fabulous Design Team did this time around and join us! Remember, the topping is optional any Birthday card will do!

Take care, Nanc’

  1. I love this card! Can’t tell that your stems are not perfect, It all looks good. Great way to do the background too.

  2. This is so pretty! I love the ombré stencil background panel.

  3. I love the color you used for the beautiful flowers and your background of hearts in ombre with the same color is just eye catching! Beautiful card Nanc!

  4. So pretty — love the BRIGHT colors!

  5. Very pretty stenciled background to show off the lovely floral bouquet. Love your card.

  6. You do know that no one would have even noticed your stems if you hadn’t pointed them out. LOL!!! This is just lovely Nanc! I really love the background of ombre hearts.

  7. Such a pretty card Nancy, the stencilled hearts make the perfect backdrop for the flowers and great contrast with the kraft border, Cathy x

  8. The overall heart background and the cute flowers go so well together! It’s a lovely card, Nancy! To line up the layering stamps I oft use the coordinating die as a guide. I place the die on the paper and align the stamp on it (of course it works only with a stamping tool :). Or you could die cut the paper first and line up the stamps on it! Hope this helps!

  9. Well, since the eyes will always be drawn by the flowers, no on will notice your stems being off! 😀 But it is really so gorgeous, Nancy! I just sighed at that gorgeous hearts-filled background. The flowers look even more lovely with those. Spectacular conceptualization, Nancy!

  10. This is absolutely gorgeous! Love the bright colours and the ombre effect in the background. I didn’t even notice the ‘off’ die cut. Such a cheerful card – puts a big smile on my face.
