Getting Into Halloween!

Hello, I hope you are doing well! I want to warn you that I have a new obsession! You are probably a bit relieved that I have put the leaves away for now. LOL However, I have a few cards with leaves that I have yet to share. What is my new obsession, you ask? These adorable new ghosts I just got from Miss Ink Stamps called BOO-Sheet! I have them linked up for you and it’s truly the cutest set with the funniest sentiments! The only thing that would be the icing on the cake is if they had die-cuts, but sadly they don’t. Although, I believe they are easy and totally worth fussy cutting! What is even kinda interesting is I am not a huge fan of Halloween, but this set just won me over! I definitely don’t like anything scary! Do you?

So far I have made three cards with hopes to make a few more before the holiday arrives. I decided to make a mini-slimline for this one. While I was purchasing the stamp set I had to get the stencil set that is called Cloud Hearts! Although I didn’t use it on this card, it is super cool too… so stay tuned! I think one of the funniest thing about this set is the iron burn you can put on the sheet. It comes with a sock too, but I didn’t use it this time! We all hate when the socks get stuck to the sheets when we pull them from the dryer. LOL

I went to Hobby Lobby the other day because hubby needed some paint, YAY! While we were there, I purchased some Black Soot Oxide ink, with hopes to darken the edges of my clouds and make more of a night time scene. Well, that turned into a hot mess and was quickly discarded in the circular file. As you can see I chickened out the second time, and didn’t have the heart to ruin these clouds.

Here is a close up so you can see my glittery stars I put in opposite corners of the card.

I am playing along with three challenges today. The TGIF Challenge where the word is Halloween and over at Tic Tac Toe Challenge I have chosen the row of Purple, Orange and Black. I have to also play along with Darnell over at NBUS, since this set is brand new to me!

Card Details: This is a mini slimline card. Boo Sheet-Miss Ink Stamps, Clouds were made with my MFT stencil. I used Oxide inks for the background. I used Nuvo glitter paste with my Tim Holtz star stencil and some Colored Pencil and or Copics to color my stamps. Lots of spatter in white, purple and black. I have glossy accents on the pumpkin and the lollipop.

I sure appreciate you coming by! Take care and Happy Creating! Nanc’

  1. I already knew this set had terrific sentiments, but thanks for pointing out/using the iron and the sock too – those are hilarious! I love your orange clouds, and I think the splatters were a much better idea than darkening the edges anyway. Love this card!
