Greeting from…

Hello, I have a quick post for you today! I am playing along with the Time Out Challenge where the Theme is Down to Earth. Have you ever made a purchase and thought it was such a great idea and then you got it you were a bit disappointed? Well, that is how I feel about this stamp and die set from Hero Arts. One of the US dies is so large it will never fit on a card base. ( I guess I should have read the fine print more carefully.) LOL I thought I would love it and find lots of uses for it, and that has not been the case. Well, that is until today when I saw this challenge starting at Time Out, I decided to give it a chance. I think the background stamp is okay, and I am glad I decided to put the sun-ray in the background as I think it helps.

I decided to make two cards while I was at it. Below is the second one. I added a drop shadow as you couldn’t see the US Map very well.

I am going to play along over at Happy Little Stampers too Die-Cut Challenge.

Card Details: States Stamp and Die set is from Hero Arts, The sun-ray is a stencil and I used Oxide inks for my blending. I had to come up with the from and the someone who from other stamps sets. On the second card it says in the inside…misses you!

Not sure I will play with it again, but who knows!

Take care, Nanc’

  1. These are fun! The sun ray stencil definitely highlights the map, and I like the little additions… the arrows pointing to Florida, and the hearts. (You could make them as postcards and sell them!)

  2. Nancy…love, love, love this card. So much fun! and so creative! Thanks for joining Tic Tac Toe this week.

  3. I’m sorry you’re disappointed in the stamp and die, Nancy, but I think your cards look wonderful. I bet you could even sell them in the shop.

  4. Glad that you finally found a way to make a card with this die. If I got it from you, I would feel very special. Honestly, I do feel special when I get a card from you.

  5. I hope you will play with these stamps and dies again because there results are great! I really love the card designs you came up with, especially adding the sun rays was a fab idea! Thank you for joining us at Time Out!
