Hobbies and Pastimes

Hello, Happy Thanksgiving to all my USA friends! We are having a very small gathering at my house today and as I am typing this post there is the smell of pumpkin in the air. I love all things Pumpkin, do you? I know this Holiday can be so hard on so many, and the last two years have certainly not been easy. So if you are struggling today, I hope you know that others are thinking of you.

Today my son, daughter-in-law, and grand Kitty Lando are on the beginning leg of their cross-country journey from California to Florida once again, after they JUST arrived home from Puerto Rico very late the night before. I don’t know how they do it! They are headed here via electric car as they did last year. So although they won’t be with us today I know I will see them very soon! Now onto my card!

Today over at Seize the Birthday, Lindsey is our fabulous hostess and she has picked a great topping of (Hobbies and Pastimes) and I don’t recall we have ever used it before. Way to be creative, Linds! It was fun to see all the different directions the DT and guest Carol went with this topping. I chose boating as I needed a masculine card this week.

Card Details: All stamps are retired and from Stampin Up. I did a bit of distressing with some Oxide inks.

Take care and we hope you will play along over at Seize the Birthday and remember the topping is optional, any Birthday card will do! Nanc’

  1. Happy Thanksgiving! And yes, another pumpkin lover here. Your card is beautiful in these colours! And what a great choice for a pastime. (Oh, and thanks for those nice things you said about me! :D)

  2. Fabulous masculine card Nancy. Love the design and colors. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving and I know you are enjoying your son and daughter-in-law. Have a great weekend.

  3. Tyler should be in the house by how and you will be happy and busy. I just wanted to drop by and say that this is a great masculine card with design and colors. Too bad the stamps are retired.

  4. I love the look the distressing gave to your card, Nancy.

  5. Love the blues and browns of this gorgeous naval themed card. I love how you’ve designed it – with a base design and then bits of images, but all relevant – I really love the way it looks. Like I always say, you manage to pull it together so well, Nancy!!

  6. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving and so happy your family is joining you!! This is a great masculine card with a terrific vintage feel. I always love anything nautical and this is no exception.

  7. What a cool masculine birthday card, Nancy! The nautical stamp images are gorgeous!!! Hope your son’s family can stay long there with you!
