Hello, I am back today with a card for the Color Challenge going on over at The Paper Players! Ann Marie’s color palette really spoke to me this week. In fact, do you remember when sponge painting the walls of your house was the thing to do? Well, back when hubby and I first got married and him being an artist and all, we got the crazy idea to sponge paint our living room with two opposing walls teal and two walls coral. Not kidding! Now when I see pics I think, what on earth! LOL It was bold, that is for sure. Thanks for the memory, Ann Marie!
FYI, I used a dark Catherine Pooler Ink called Mardi Gras
for my Jade and it looks like I used aqua in the pic. 😦

I have had my Honey Bee Stamps Coneflower die set for quite some time and hadn’t yet broken the seal on the packaging and thought it was way past time! Plus my NEW stenciled background is from Miss Ink Stamps and called Leafy Green. If you haven’t checked out their products you should! They have some really great stuff and great quality too! I have them linked up for you!
I will also be linking up with Darnell over at NBUS and the die-cut challenge over at Happy Little Stampers too.

Card Details: Coneflower-Honey Bee Stamps, hugs die -MFT, DSP -SU, New Leafy Green stencil from Miss Ink Stamps, Scalloped rectangles-MFT, Dewdrops-Honey Bee Stamps (Love them!)
You will be seeing more of this Coneflower very soon! Really loving it!
I hope no matter how hard life can be these days you find something to do that brings you joy!
Take care, Nanc’

Your card is beautiful, Nancy!
If it wasn’t sponged walls, it had to be the wallpaper borders in pretty much every room. lol I always chuckle when I see pictures with that and what design was on it. I am not of fan of wallpaper of any kind. lol Thank for sharing a little throw back of a story! 🙂

I love my coneflower die but I never thought to make it in polka dots, Nancy. That is such a fun idea. Back in the day I sponged, rag washed and glazed walls, which is to say I was really caught up in the trend. I actually rag washed the kitchen in our last house and that wasn’t all that long ago. 🙂

MAN do I love this card. Such beautiful colors, and using the patterned papers to die cut the petals is GENIUS. I have that die set and I’m pinning for future inspiration. You are BRILLIANT!!!! XO~

I really like how you made these colors work on this card. The design of the two flowers top and bottom with the sentiment in the middle is super cute.
