Hello, I am back again today with a card for the challenge going on over at Fusion Card Challenge. I hadn’t played along over there for quite some time and as soon as I saw the luscious chocolate cupcakes in the photo I knew I wanted to play along. I wish I had one of those cupcakes right about now! I have some old Verve stamps that I adore that I knew would do the trick for making this card come to life.
Card Details: The cupcakes, row of hearts, and the two sentiments at the top are all Verve. The sentiment at the bottom is from MFT. The tag die is MFT. I have 2 EF’s also- One is a brick background and the other is a Chevron pattern both from Sizzix. I heat embossed the white hearts and used Glossy Accents on the tops of the cupcakes. I sponged the Brick EF with brown ink and ran it through my Cuttlebug. Fussy cut the cupcakes. Used some Dimensionals for height.
Hello, I hope you are doing well! Today’s card was inspired by two challenges. Festive Friday‘s Inspirational list was perfect for Valentine’s Day and I am also linking up with Retro Rubber Challenge where the theme is Love, Love, Love.
Anyone that follows me and my card-making journey knows that I love the make heart backgrounds so that is what I have done for you today. For Festive Friday, I chose Pink, Hearts, and Cute! I am not sure there is anything cuter than this MFT otter. For Red Rubber, I found out that this sweet otter set from MFT was released in 2017.
To go along with the name of my Blog and my love for using hearts on my cards, I asked hubby to make me a wooden ornament to use as a prop for photographing my cards. I love the way it came out. If you have never seen my hubby’s work I have his blog linked up for you HERE! At the top of his blog there are many tabs to make it a bit easier to navigate. He has a mix of everything…wood-working, colored pencil, wooden ornaments… etc. You must check out the wooden ornaments that he sells here locally they are amazing!
Card Details: The heart stencil background is from Honey Bee Stamps, the otter is from MFT, the speech bubble outline is from SU. I used Copics and a bit of Prismas colored pencils as my medium and dimensionals for height.
I hope you find some time to be creative, it really is helping me through these hard days! Nanc’
Hello, Over at Just Us Girls it is time for Word Week and sweet Cecile has picked an easy one for us and you, if you chose to play along! The word is Friends! I told you it was easy! The great thing about this card is everything was in my “bits and boxes” leftover drawers which really made this card come together quickly! I am really trying to use up some of these useful but neglected items.
Card Details: The stamped leaves and dies are from Stampin Up and are both retired. The hibiscus die is from Altenew. The sentiment is from Gina K Designs. The dotted background die is from Sunny Studios. Dewdrops are from Honey Bee Stamps.
I hope you will head on over to Just Us Girls and check out all the DT’s work and play along! I know you will be inspired!
Hello, I hope this post finds you well! Today over at Seize the Birthday we have a new topping starting. Cathy is our sweet hostess and she wants us to add sparkle and or Shine to our Birthday cards. I thought this fun Pickup truck from Spellbinders would do the trick. I used fun mirrored paper for the bows, bumper, and side- mirrors. I guess I was driving too fast as the packages came spilling out of the back!
Here is a close-up!
Card Details: The cute little pick-up truck is from Spellbinders. The sentiment is a mix of Verve!
I hope you will come on over to Seize the Birthday and check out the fabulous cards by my Design team and our wonderful guest Vicky Hayes and while you are there get inspired to join us!
Hi, Today’s card is for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge going on over at The Paper Playersand for the Heart Challenge just starting at Double D.
For the Tic Tac Toe board, I chose the diagonal row of Birthday, Flower, Die-cut. I love using this die and have made valentines in the past, but thought the heart paper I had on my desk might make for a great Birthday card also, which I am in the need of very soon. I left some of the flowers opened so you can see the background paper behind and then pieced back some other ones using other colors. I love piecing things back together, to me it’s very relaxing.
Card Details: Heart die is SSS, the XOXO is from MFT, the Happy Birthday is also MFT.
Hello, It is already February and time for the next Hues of Color at Color Hues! Karen is our fabulous hostess and she has a perfect color duo for this time of year. If you are not into making Valentines there are many other avenues you can take with these colors, as you will see by the DT’s cards over on the CH blog. We also have Michal joining us as a guest over at CH for this challenge! Welcome, Michal. We are happy to have you!
I made two cards for this challenge and didn’t realize the black looked so bad on the second card until after I photographed it. 😦
First Card: I made my heart windows with an MFT heart die. The love die is from Gina K and the XOXO stamp and the You Melt My Heart stamp are from MFT. A very quick and simple Valentine.
Second Card: Honey Bee Stamps fluttering hearts stencil. The stamp set is also Honey Bee Stamps and is called; Stronger Together. I used my fabulous Hero Arts Postage dies and did some masking as well. Of course, my Oxide Inks was my ink of choice.
Hope to see you over at Color Hues where I know the DT’s work will inspire you! They always inspire me! Please take care and Happy crafting! Nanc’
