Sip Sip Hooray

Hello, I know my blog has been rather quiet but still trying to play catch up on life since returning from Vacation. It’s already Thursday and time for the next Topping at Seize the Birthday! Jules is our fabulous hostess and she has picked a topping that I really liked. She has asked us to Stripe it Up. For my card, I went with a bit of a subtle stripe on my background and did stripes of colors.

Card Details: Die set is from Tim Holtz-Happy Hour, the greeting is MFT, and the background stencil is Heffy Doodle. Such a fun and happy card.

Make sure you come on over to STB and check out the fabulous cards by our DT and guest Deepti, I know you will be inspired. I certainly was!

Take care and do something today that brings you JOY!, Nanc’

Easter Blessings

Hello, Hope you are doing well. Our temps here in Florida are rising and I am so very sad. I want Spring to stay forever! Luckily, hubby and I enjoyed the somewhat cooler temps (85) yesterday and spent the day on our bikes for our 30th Anniversary. It was a very nice day and it felt good to be outdoors by the water.

Now onto my card. I have an Easter theme for you today, with a few more to share in a few days or so. I am playing along with two challenges. The first is The Card Concept. They have an Easter-inspired photo for us. I have quite a few elements on my card like they do in the photo; the bunny with no face, carrots, small eggs, and the Easter Blessings sign.

I am also linking up with Inkspirational Challenges where the challenge is Critters that Hop.

Card Details: Bow Die-Pink Fresh Studio, Wreath was made using a Sizzix leaf die cut out multiple times, the bunnies, eggs, and carrots are from Spellbinders, the greeting is from Papertrey Ink.

Thanks for stopping in! I love your visits!

Take care and do something today that brings you joy! Nanc’

With Sympathy

Hello, It is time for the next challenge over at Just Us Girls. It’s Photo Week and the photo we have for you selected by Bobby has tons of room for inspiration. I could have gone with the obvious birdhouse as some of my wonderful teammates have done but I decided to focus on the colors that stood out the most which were blue and green with pops of yellow. I also loved the scallop of the birdhouse and pulled that into my design with the background stencil and the postal die as well.

I paired my card up to two other challenges. The first is the Tic Tac Toe Challenge and the second is Addicted to Stamps and More for their stencils and die-cut challenge.

I chose the last column of Die Cut, Flowers, and Stenciling.

Now, head on over to Just Us Girls and check out all the fabulous cards by the team and I hope you will be inspired to play along!

Card Details: Pink Fresh Studio- Daisy Wreath stencil and die set. The sentiment is from SU and the postal die is from Hero Arts. The background stencil is my fav and still a mystery. I used dimensionals too.

Before I go!

If things seemed rather quiet here on the blog as of late, we just got back from a long-awaited vacation in Santa Cruz, California. Here is one of the many pics we took while we were there visiting our son and DIL. We had a really great time! These fabulous redwood trees are just 15 minutes from their home. Yes, it was a bit chilly for these Florida folks.

Find something to do today that brings you joy, Nanc’

Green and White Birthday

Hello, It’s time for our next topping at Seize the Birthday. JoAnn is our wonderful hostess this time around and she has chosen a color challenge for our topping, and it’s perfect for today which happens to be March 17th-St Patrick’s Day!

Card Details: I had this negative die sitting on my desk for quite some time and am happy to have put it to use. I know my card has quite a bit of black on it, but that is okay as that is one of our neutrals. When I found this green and white DSP in my stash I knew it was going to work out perfectly. The heart die is from SSS, the Birthday die is from MFT. A few silver punches for the center of the flowers and I was done.

Now, I hope you will come on over to Seize the Birthday and check out the fabulous cards by the Design Team and our guest Deepti!

Do something today that brings you joy, Nanc’

To the Birthday Chick

Hello, It is the middle of the month, and time for our next Hues of Colors over at Color Hues. I am the hostess for this challenge and I have selected a Spring color pairing. Today also happens to be my hubby’s birthday and when you read this we will be in California celebrating with family. Lucky us! We were supposed to go for my birthday in August last year, but that didn’t pan out. I am just thankful to be there now.

Card Details: Chick Stamp set by MFT, the clouds and sun die are from Lawn Fawn and I used Copics to color my images.

Now, I hope you will go on over to Color Hues and check out the fabulous cards from our Design Team and our guest Kerry! I know you will be as inspired as I was.

Take care and happy crafting, Nanc’

Embossing Folders @JUGS

Hello, It is Saturday already and time for the next challenge at Just Us Girls. Vicky has chosen an easy Trend for us to enjoy and hopefully you will too! All you need to do is use an Embossing Folder. I think the hardest part would be to decide which one. LOL If you are anything like me you have at least 20 to choose from.

I am also going to play along over at Happy Little Stampers – Die Cut Challenge, as I often do.

Card Details: Embossing Folder-Stampin Up, the onesie and button dies are from MFT and very old, and the greeting is from Stampin Up. Postage die is Hero Arts. I adore the DSP, that I believe I found at Hobby Lobby.

Now, I hope you will pop on over to Just Us Girls and check out the cards by my fabulous teammates and our guest and join us! Take care, Nanc’

With Sympathy

Hello, I am back today with a Sympathy card for a friend of mine. I knew the Pink Fresh Studios set-Choose Hope would be perfect for my card design. I also wanted to make another card for the monthly challenge they have going on over at PFS. The challenge is to Frame it Up along with a pretty array of colors for inspiration.

A Few Card Details: I decided once again to stencil on a piece of DSP, a few weeks ago I made a card similar to this one and loved the results. Here it is in case you missed it.

Stamps and stencils are Pink Fresh Studios-Choose Hope and the greeting is new to me and from Sunny Studios. I framed the flower with my postage dies from Hero Arts. I added a few Nuvo drops also.

I hope you did or will do something today that will bring you joy, Take care-Nanc’

You’re Manatee-rific!

Close-up is below so you can see the shine!

Hi, Besides my florals as of late, I am totally loving on Newton’s Nook and have some new products from them. This set is not my newest purchase, that honor goes to a super cute Christmas set, but this particular set is not that old either. I have used these darling Manatees quite a few times lately, and will be sharing those soon. However, today’s card is for the Inky Paws Sketch Challenge going on over on their blog. You all know that besides color challenges, I adore sketches too and this one spoke to me right away! Details below on how this card came together. I am really loving that shiny background.

Here is a close-up so you can see the shine!

I would be amiss if I didn’t link this card up at the Stencil challenge at Happy Little Stampers.

Card Details: The stamp set is from Newton’s Nook and is called Manatee-rific. The seashell stenciled background is also from Newton’s Nook and I adore it! I inked it up and then used Glimmer paste from Nuvo for my glimmer and or shine. I love how it turned out! The ric-rac is from MFT along with the Wonky Rectangles. The stencil that I made my waves with is from-Mayco and called Groovy.

Thanks for stopping in and I hope whatever you decide to do today, that it brings you JOY!

Take care, Nanc’

Sweet Friend

Hello, As I stated earlier this week, I seem to be gravitating to florals this week, for a multitude of reasons. 1-, the stencils from Pink Fresh Studios are so much fun to use, 2- the cards generally come together rather quickly with good results, and 3- flowers make me happy and we all need a bit more happy these days, more than ever!

I was perusing my usual challenge sites and first came across the Pink Fresh Studios March challenge where they want us to Frame it up. I also tried to incorporate most of the tones of the colors from their graphic on my card as well. The centers of my flowers are peachy-yellow.

Then I came across two other challenges that piqued my interest. One is the Sketch over at Sunday Stamps and the second is the word prompt at Inkspirational-Curve. I have many curves on my card- the stencil has a curved design, the 2 flowers that I cut apart are now both arched in a curve, and the stitched circle is curved as well.

Card Details: Pink Fresh Studio-Daisy Wreath die and stencil, stitched circle from SU, an unknown background stencil, and some Oxide inks. The scalloped rectangle is MFT and the greeting is Gina K. I added some dimensionals, glitter, and sequins to finish it off.
