Color my world with family, friends and some time to be creative making cards!

Color Hues and #cardsforukraine

Hello, I have a lot to get to today so I am just going to jump right in.

I was over on the Share Handmade Kindness FB group on Saturday and saw an idea by cardmaker Linda Eterno.  She suggested that the cardmaking community fill the internet with Blue and Yellow cards to show our support for Ukraine. I thought it was such a terrific idea. After I saw that post, I immediately contacted my Color Hues team along with my Seize the Birthday team to see if we could do our part for this great cause.

I sit here in disbelief with all this world has endured the past two years with a Global Pandemic and now we are witnessing a war! I can’t even believe that this is the World I am living in, and like most of you, I watch the news and just cry and feel helpless! I think making a card is the least that I can do. After all, we cardmakers stick together and we know how to light up the world, one card at a time.

So today I have two cards for you! The first one is for #cardsforukraine.

The second see of cards are for our already scheduled challenge where Lindsey is our hostess and these are the Hues of Colors she has chosen.

Here is another card I made but I screwed up and overheated the heat embossing.

I also want to take a moment to welcome my buddy Jules to Color Hues today, she was our winner for one of our last challenges and she is tagging along with us as our guest! Welcome, Jules! We are happy you are here!

Now, I hope if you are still with me after this long post you will consider joining us over at Color Hues. And, after you make your card, share it on the internet and or… over at the Share Handmade Kindness FB group, or the very least, on your blog or Instagram account. The more love the better!

Card Details #1-I used watercolored paper and did the smooching technique to make my blue and yellow papers. The leave stenciled background is from Miss Ink Stamps. The sunflowers and leaves are retired SU. The sentiment is from Pink Fresh Studio. The stitched hearts are MFT.

Card Details #2 Heart and rectangle dies are MFT, the congrats is from Impression Obsession, and the wedding rings are SSS.

Card Details #3 Same as #2- But the sentiment is from Stampin UP.

Please take care and help me spread love not hate, Nanc’
