Hello, I am back today with a Birthday card which so happens to be for the challenge starting today at Seize the Birthday! I am the hostess and I chose Butterflies and or Hummingbirds as my topping. I tend to gravitate towards butterflies but I was determined to break out my Pretty Pink Posh Hummingbirds instead, after all, that is why I purchased them…right? I think I have used them maybe three times and that might be stretching the truth a bit. This card took hours to come together and that was not necessarily the coloring. Does that happen to you sometimes? I must have walked away from it at least three times. I used Copics for my coloring and a bit of white pencil for some final touches.

Card Details: The hummingbirds-Pretty Pink Posh, the scalloped edge die is from Lawn Fawn. The greeting is from Verve. The stenciled die is from MFT and called-Geometric Grid. The die-flowers and leaves are from Pink and Main. I used a dotted EF to give the leaves a bit of texture and some pearl centers on my flowers.
I hope you will come and check out the fabulous cards over at Seize the Birthday along with our wonderful Surprise Party Guest, Deepti! This is her last challenge with us and I am so very sad to see her go. Her work is always stellar. Take care, Deepti!
Thanks for stopping by and make sure you take some time to do something creative today, Nanc’

This is so pretty Nancy. Love the colors and cute hummingbirds. I thought about using butterflies but went with the hummingbird as I had that stamp set out.

Hours?? I take days now-a-days to get a card to come together – that’s why I start creating months before the due date!! 😀
Gorgeous card, Nancy! Any chance to use such a cute stamp set is a great reason! And such a lovely card comes out of it as well. Yay!

This made me smile! However, your cards are generally a work of art and take more time!

This is such a sweet card, Nancy! The hummingbirds are so cute and I love the soft colouring on the background. It certainly doesn’t look like you had to walk away from it.

This is so lovely! Great colour choice and I love how you did the background. Well worth the time (by the way – that definitely happens to me – walk away and come back a few times).
