Celebrate

Hello, It is Thursday, and time for our next topping at Seize the Birthday! The topping that was selected by Shirley, is Faux or Real Stitching. If you know me, which most of my followers do, I don’t sew! So I have elected to use the fake stuff and incorporate as many stitched die cuts as I could in my design.

We also have our next and very talented Surprise Party Guest joining us today!  Lorraine Aquilina! You will have to come by and check out her amazing card! Welcome, Lorraine! We are thrilled to have you with us!

A Few Card Details: I used an older engineer-type circle stencil to make my dotted background. First, I sponged the colors, and then I came back in with a sharpie and traced the circles. The cake stamp is from SU. The celebrate die is from Paper Roses. I put an extension to my MFT tag and covered it up with the MFT ric-rac to make a longer tag. The scalloped edge die is also MFT, I do believe. I added a few of my favorite Honeybee stamps dew-drops also.

I will be linking my card up over at Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Die Cut Challenge too!

Now, head on over to Seize the Birthday and play along with us! Take care, Nanc’

  1. Faux stitching is allowed and it seems like the one of choice for most of the team. But what different cards they made. Your colorful and fun card with a tag is a great example of what can be done with faux stitching.

  2. I chose faux as well this time around. Your polkas are very fun and festive. While I’m here let me also thank you for joining us at the HLS die cut challenge!
