Color my world with family, friends and some time to be creative making cards!

New Home

Hello, I am back today with a card for The Paper Players where it’s CAS week and the theme Laurie chose is House. The Designers have a fabulous array of cards over there that you definitely should check out.

Card Details: The background was made with an MFT cloud stencil and a rolling hills stencil that I cut out of acetate and just kept moving to a different spot as I sponged to resemble hills. I was going to use my Lawn Fawn hills as my stencil, but they are stitched and they come out all dotted when you ink them up. LOL The houses are from Taylored Expressions and are a border die that I cut apart. I just paper-pieced my focal house in color and am pretending that Mickey Mouse lives there. It’s his colors, am I right? The sentiment is from MFT.

Let me just say that I spent more time looking for the card that inspired me to make this card than it took me to make the card itself. LOL I came up empty-handed. Just so you know I gave it a valiant effort and it definitely sparked my inspiration. I would love to give credit to the designer if I could.

Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting, Nanc’

  2. Oh, wow, Nanc’! What an amazing card! Your clouds and hills are perfect. The little houses are adorable, and I LOVE how you paper-pieced the “Mickey Mouse” house. Such a wonderful clean and simple card! Thank you for playing with The Paper Players this week!

  3. Hehe, Nancy, I am chuckling about Mickey Mouse! I love your card, the sky and hills are blended so well. I love how you masked a circle and placed the scene inside. A great design! I’ve spent more time looking than making many times, it’s not always helpful for me. Thanks so much for being a great and very special friend at The Paper Players!

  4. Love the clouds and grass you’ve given Mickey’s house! Super cute card, Nancy!

  5. I had to come back as I don’t know how I missed this Micky Mouse house. Lol Everything on this card is well thought out and it shows.
