More Couch Kit and a Mistake

Hello, I am back this afternoon with another card using the new MFT Couch Kit. This time I am joining the MFT Color Challenge. I am totally enjoying myself, to say the least. If you know me you know that being home and crafting is certainly okay with me on this Holiday weekend, it’s over 90 degrees outside anyways. No thank you!

Where is the mistake, you ask? I decided to make some shiplap for the top of my wall and when I went to adhere the background piece to my card stock base I put it on upside down. Now I guess it looks like white hardwood floors. LOL Next time, I will build my card completely and then adhere the base, and maybe I will have less of a chance of making that mistake again.

The patterned paper in my stash was so perfect for my couch as it has two tones of blue and kraft in the pattern.

I am also going to link my card up over at Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge-Anything Goes, along with Addicted to Stamps and More for their Stencil and or Die Cut Challenge.

Card Details: Everything you see is from the MFT Card Kit. I used some Oxide inks to make the sky out the window and I trimmed the window and curtains down as I needed a smaller window in the space I provided.

So far I have shown you 2 out of 4 of the cards I have made with this Kit. Stay tuned!

I hope you are having a great day! Nanc’

  1. I think you are too hard on yourself! This card is fun and I can’t wait to see the others that you have made with this kit.

  2. Lovely living room, Nancy, and I really like your hardwood floors.

  3. Well the whitewashed floor looks great to me and so does that cute polka dot couch! Delightful card, Nancy!

  4. Lovely scene!
Thanks for sharing with Addicted to Stamps and More!

  5. Love this fab use of the kit. It caught my eye on a google search and I came by to see the ‘mistake’. Turns out your mistake was the thing that intrigued me about your card and that I want to incorporate into my card. Love how you created the separation of floor and wall. I agree you are too hard on yourself!
