Holey Sheet…

Hello, I hope you are having a good week! Today I am ignoring the fact that it’s 90+ degrees outside and I am jumping into Fall a bit with a Halloween card. I saw the sketch by Anne Marie over at The Paper Players and wanted to make sure to play along. I think Teal ghosts should be a thing, what about you? Too over the top?

Card Details: Cloud stencil is MFT. I used Oxide Inks for the background. Copics and Prismas to color my ghosts. The stamp set is one of my favs from Miss Ink Stamps called Boo Sheet. The stars are made from a Verve border die.

I hope however you spend your day it has a bit of creativity thrown in! Take care, Nanc’

Thanks

I am popping in this morning to share some quick and simple Thank You cards. I am always reaching for white cardstock and decided why not try using this fun stencil on some colored paper. I love the results and less blending was required too.

I am going to add these to the gallery at Happy Little Stampers-Stencil Challenge and over at TGIF where they ask us, what would we do without White Card Stock?

Card Details: Stencil is called Retro Palms and from Newton’s Nook. The sentiment Thank you from all of us is from Stampin Up and the other one is unknown.

I hope you have a very creative day! Nanc’

Dancin’ St. Nick

Hello, I am back today with a Christmas card using Spellbinders Dancin’ St. Nick. When I knew I wanted to make a Christmas card I came across this fun piece of snowflake DSP that I wanted to use. Then I thought, why not make Santa in a non-traditional color? What do you think? Have I broken any Christmas rules? LOL Not sure I won over the hubster, but I kinda like him.

Here are his legs moving.

I am linking up with three challenges; Time Out, Happy Little Stampers Christmas, and Peace on Earth Christmas.

Card Details: St. Nick was die-cut and colored with a few Copics to give him some life-like features. Santa’s legs can move with a stack of two small dimensionals to give the body some clearance to help the legs swing. I think the pops of silver really made the card come to life. The Snowflakes are from the Spellbinder’s Noel set. I made the snowbanks with white paper and a very old cutting device from Creative Memories.

I certainly appreciate you checking in on me and I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Nanc’

Just a Note

Hello, It is Photo Week over at Just Us Girls and Lisa E has chosen a Back to School Picture for us. You would think with my background of working in the school system for 24 years that I would have oodles of School themed products. Well, that is NOT the case! When I was working, I used to always dread going into a store and seeing the Back to School signs and it would make me so sad cause I knew Summer was coming to an end! However, that is in the past, and I certainly don’t have to worry about that anymore. YAY! With that being said, I did scrounge through all of my supplies in search of something that would work and found this cute Paper die to save me!

Card Details: The Paper Die is from Paper Smooches. I drew the lines on after I colored my flower (should have left them off) with Prisma Colored Pencils. That flower is an old block stamp that I have had for ages. The greeting is from MFT.

The rest of the DT and our guest-Cathy did a far better job than I did! Come by and check them out! Also, I need to say thanks to my buddy Cathy for being with us the past month, you did an incredible job and we were lucky to have you! Take care, Nanc’

Sending Sunshine

Hello, Since it’s still sweltering hot here in Florida I am sticking with a summer theme for today’s card. I am so ready for cooler temps! How about you? I am playing along with the ladies over at Freshly Made Sketches. This is one of those cards that changed so much and then when I was finally done with it and things were glued down, I got a better idea and it was too late to fix it. This card was made with some of the remnants of yesterday’s Manatee card.

A Few Card Details: Sentiment and Palm Tree are from the Sunny Studios set-Sending Sunshine. The little girls are called Coastal Cuties and are also Sunny Studios. I used a die cut from Pink and Main for my waves and a stencil from MFT for my other water feature. The beach sand was made with Lawn Fawn Stitched Hill dies. The tiny sun die was a last-second addition and it’s so very old and from MFT. I used Prismas and Copics to color my images.

Thanks for stopping in and Happy Friday! Nanc’

Sweet Friend

I am back today with another summer card and this one is for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge. I have chosen the middle row of Embellishments, Die-cuts, and Leaves. This is also a case of a card that you can find HERE! I adored it the moment I saw it. This is actually the second time casing this card and my first one is below, which I like a whole lot better.

Card Details: The Flips Flops are from Impression Obsession, the leaves are from Stampin Up,the greeting is from Gina K Designs, clothesline is from MFT in their old retired Baby die set. I have tiny embellishments on the top of my flip-flops. I blended the background with Oxide Inks.

I hope however you spend your day there is a little time for creativity! Nanc’

Don’t Worry Beach Happy

Hello, Today’s card is another Case of myself because when I saw the inspiration photo over at Fusion along with the Beaches challenge over at TGIF, I just had to play along with both. The DT’s have some amazing inspiration over at both challenges that you should definitely check out.

My original card is below in case you missed it. It is one I have been repeating quite regularly for the stores but not in this great soft color palette. I just love how they both turned out.

Here is a picture of how I did the background of the card in case you were wondering. I just shortened the stencil using the negative and then flipped it and added a gap of white to represent the sea foam and did the sand. I hope that makes sense.

Card Details: All products are from MFT; Watercolor Wash Rectangle Stencil, Shady Palms Dienamics, the greeting is from Life’s a Beach. The birds are from a retired stamp set from SU called-High Tide.

I hope however you spend your day there is something that you do that brings you JOY! Nanc’

Hey, Gulfriend

t’s Saturday and time for Color Week at Just Us Girls. Lisa is our hostess and she has a great trio of colors for us. When I am lacking creativity I often CASE myself and that is what I have done here. HERE is the post of the card I cased and below is the card. I certainly like the original a whole lot better.

I am playing along over at Happy Little Stampers for their Anything Goes Stencil Challenge.

A Few Card Details: MFT-Seagulls, clouds, and greeting, I took two different stencils to make my backgrounds those are from Altnew and Taylored Expressions. I also used the cloud stencil from MFT. The water is sponged and masked off. The little bit of beach die is from MFT as well.

I hope you will come over to Just Us Girls and join us! The team did a wonderful job with this palette.

Have a wonderful day! Nanc’

Winter Cheer Shaker

Hello, I am back with another Christmas card using the Dancin Deer from Spellbinders, but this time she isn’t dancing she is actually shaking. Well, at least the background is anyway. LOL If you are a regular here on my blog you know I don’t make shakers too often. They intimidate me and I have no idea why as they really aren’t that hard. I have so many sequins and bling in my stash that I really should just get over it and start using them up. LOL. My cute little dear is not inside the shaker she is tucked and glued down in front of the acetate and I just love how this turned out. I have affiliate links to these products below.

Dancin Deer

Tinsel Time Sentiments

Festive Noel

Spellbinders 6

Card Details: First I sponged my cream card-stock to get the perfect tone of brown I wanted for the deer. Then I went searching for a color combo and came across this great SU DSP. I knew I was going to stick a few of the snowflakes on this card as well from the Festive Noel set along with my greeting so I cut those out in complimentary colors. The Tinsel Time Sentiments have really come in handy with all of these cards. Next, it was finally time to make the shaker element and put this card together.

If shakers aren’t your thing I found a really simple video HERE by Amy R that helped me with a refresher course.

I am also linking up once again over at Simon Says Stamps as they are featuring a Christmas theme and Spellbinder products.

Thanks for stopping by and letting me share some more cards featuring Spellbinder’s darling new products with you! I hope you have had or are having a wonderfully creative day, Nanc’
