Butterflies

Hello, I hope you are doing well! Today over at Just Us Girls it’s Word Week and Vicki is our hostess and she has picked an easy and wonderful word for us. She chose Butterflies. I told you it was easy!

We also have a brand new guest starting with us this month! I would like to say welcome to Cathy Roffey, who happens to be my teammate over at Seize the Birthday. We are happy to have you with us, my friend!

Card Details: The background of this card was inspired by a card I saw somewhere and I can’t for the life of me find it again, so sorry about that. I made a stencil using one of the butterflies inside the set from Birch Press designs and sponged the background. The set has 3 separate butterflies. The Happy Birthday is from Neat and Tangled. The stitched letters are from MFT. I speckled the background with some acrylic paint.

Have a great day and I certainly hope you might swing on by Just Us Girls and check out all the cards and play along!

Take care, Nanc’

  1. Nancy, you are so creative…I love the idea of making a stencil out of one of the dies! Very pretty card! And next time we stamp together, can you teach me how to spatter? I ruin cards with mine and yours is perfect every time!

  2. Your background butterflies look so pretty with those flying ones on the front šŸ˜Š

  3. I like all of the butterflies fluttering about on your cute card, Nancy! This is delightful!

  5. I really like the background butterflies and that you left some “white space” there too. This maybe an easy challenge, but you made it look that way.

  6. Your background is beautiful and I love how you made your own stencil from the butterflies! It is the perfect backdrop for your pretty pink and white beauties fluttering about.

  7. I love that those pretty pink butterflies have some friends flying around them, Nancy.

  8. A flutter of butterflies! ( I googled the collective noun, well it’s one of the nouns anyway!) Beautiful card Nancy and thankyou for the warm welcome, Cathy x

  9. Gorgeous Nancy. Love those beautiful bright butterflies and the softer ones in the background.
