For You

Hello, I am here today with a card showcasing some more new products from Spellbinders. This release is called the Sealed Collection and has a ton of amazing products encompassing it. As I was looking through the collection I immediately fell in love with this Ginkgo die-cut. I just love all the intricate etching.

Did you know that the Ginkgo plant has a long history of use in treating blood disorders and memory issues? It is also an antioxidant. I find things like this so fascinating.

This card is pretty straightforward and doesn’t need much explanation.

Here are a few details. My first thought was to make a stencil out of the die and that didn’t go so well, so onto plan B. Next, I thought it might be fun to offset this die and I think it worked out quite well. I decided I would incorporate a few falling pedals in white for some contrast. Then when it was time for the sentiment, I chose the outlined greeting set from Spellbinders and one I reach for a lot now. I have everything linked for you below. A few black rhinestones, silver paper dots, and ribbon finished it off.

  1. This is stunning. I adore that color, it was my mom’s favorite. I am in LOVE with that new sealed collection over at Spellbinders, have several seals and waxes. I covet all those beautiful die sets, they are perfect for the seals. Really cool how you offset those die cuts, makes a real impact. Great card, my friend!!

    • You are the sweetest! Thanks so much! The funny thing about this card is I grabbed the cardstock to use to make a stencil as thought it was a bit drab and didn’t care if I wasted it. The stencil idea didn’t work out so that is when I came up with a new plan.

  2. Oh WOW! Brillant offset of this die.

  3. Very pretty, love the color!
