Gold and Black

Hello, I am back today with one more card using one of Spellbinder’s newest releases in the Four Petals Collection. I just love the quick and wonderful results you get when foiling this Scroll Label Plate, and think it looks great in gold on a black background, don’t you? I needed to send a card to a friend and thought why not add a few flowers to it. These dainty flowers are also from Spellbinders. I have everything I used linked below. The white confetti background is actually a piece of DSP that I think worked out perfectly.

Have the Best Day Ever

Hello, For today’s card, I was inspired by the fun sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. Since I still had Spellbinders Floating Bunny set out on my desk, I thought I would use her once again on my card. How could I not, she is just so cute! I paired her with some bold papers and from Pink and Main and an older Spellbinders set called Ornamental Floral Card Creator for my flower. The stem was made with the rope swing from the floating bunny set and the leaves are from my bits and boxes, but I know they are Spellbinders too. The greeting is also from Spellbinders. I used some chalk to rosy up her cheeks and a few sequins to finish it off.

I have everything I could find a link for, linked below. This card was finished off with a Birthday greeting inside and is already on its way to a friend.

CAS Week- Coloring

Hello, I am the hostess this week at Just Us Girls and I have chosen a very simple challenge for CAS Week- Coloring. Can’t get any easier than that! If you choose to play along, just remember to check out our graphic and see what Clean and Simple means to us.

Card Details: Today’s card was totally inspired by Michelle Short and I have her wonderful card linked up for you Here. I used both Prisma Colored Pencils and Copics to color my sweet little bears along with a blend of pink and purple Oxide inks for my heart. I have tripled the bear dies with white card stock to add some dimension. I don’t know about you, but I do this all the time as I think it adds more stability and makes the cards more eye-pleasing. This darling set is from MFT and is called I’m Still in Love with You. My hubby was impressed with my coloring on this card, and let me just say, those praises are hard to come by.

I certainly hope you will come by Just Us Girls and check out what the DT and Guest- Karen Walker have done! This is Karen’s last post with us and I have certainly enjoyed all of her cards this past month. Thanks, Karen for being with us!

Take care, Nanc’

Hello Spring

Hello, I am back today with a Spring card using a mix of 3 Spellbinder products. I thought it would be fun to pair the sweet Floating Bunny with the Four Petals Collection and the hat from the sweet Day at the Beach, and I am tickled with how it turned out. The word Spring comes in the Floating Bunny set. I used a small piece of the swing rope to make the flower stem that she is holding. The fun green DSP is something I have had for so long and finally cut into, it reminds me of an Easter basket.

***The Floating Bunny set is currently half-price right now, and I have it linked along with all the other products I used, below!

I am also playing along with the Tic Tac Toe Challenge using the diagonal column; Spring, Free, and Diecut.

Red, White Plus One

Hello, Today over at Seize the Birthday we have a color challenge starting and JoAnn is our wonderful hostess. She wants us to use Red, White, and One other color of our choosing on our card and or project. As you can see, I chose blue as my third choice.

Card Details: These darling Manatees are from Whimsy Stamps and were part of a set that was released for a short time to raise money after the devastation from Hurricane Ian. This is the first time I colored them up. I think they are so cute! This started out to be a one-layer card as the set didn’t come with dies, but then in the end I decided to back it with a piece of blue cardstock. The stencil is called Groovybut I think it works great as waves. The greeting is an oldie from Papertrey Ink. I had originally planned to leave the heart completely white but then I thought the manatees needed to be in the water and it was just too stark, so I came back lightly with my blending brush. I colored the Manatees with both Copics and Prisma Colored Pencils.

I am also linking up with Time Out this week as they are celebrating their 9th Birthday! Happy Birthday to them! That is a wonderful accomplishment.

Now I hope you will head on over to Seize the Birthday and check out the amazing cards by the DT and our Two Surprise Party Guests- Stephanie and Claire. This is Stephanie’s last post with us and we have totally enjoyed having her on board. Thanks, Steph for a great couple of months, you certainly were a delight to work with! Welcome, Claire, and congrats on winning our last challenge.

Take care and happy crafting, Nanc’

Happy Easter -Waffle Flowers

Hello, Are you ready for all things Spring? I certainly am! Not that we have had a bad winter, as we certainly have not. I am just ready for Spring because the pastel colors, bunnies, and flowers just make me happy.

Today, I am tickled to share with you my latest crush. Waffleflower had a Blog Hop giveaway last month, and I was so very fortunate to have been on the receiving end of one of their Newest Kit. The inspiration during the Hop was incredible. My name was selected from Carol H’s blog. If you don’t follow Carol’s BLOG and or IG ACCOUNT, I highly recommend it. I love everything she does!!

Enclosed in my kit, was this darling Bunny Ears Die and Layered Bow Stencils. Unfortunately, I am sorry to say, the die set is currently out of stock, which is no surprise to me, but the bow stencil is still in stock. Hopefully, they will get the ears back in stock soon, if you are interested.

In between all the noise and dust of our bathroom remodel, I had a great time putting all these cards together.

Card Details: Waffle Flowers- Bunny Ears Die and Bow Stencil. The sentiments are either old; Papertry Ink or Verve. I tried to make the second card a boy bunny and used a different bow to look like a bow tie, from Paper Smooches. The Postal die is from Hero Arts. The stitched circles are from SU, scalloped circles are from Sizzix. For card number one, I used some Nuvo Glimmer paste to add sparkle to my bows.

I just realized that on my last card, I got a bit of yellow ink on my bows. Grr!

I am linking up with Darnell over at NBUS as this set is new to me.

Thanks for Hopping by and I hope you have a very creative day! Nanc’

Happy Birthday

Hello, It is Monday and I am back with a card I made with two challenges in mind. The first is the pretty Spring Colors over at Sunday Stamps. I fell in love with their graphic as soon as I saw it plus all the cards by the DT and in particular- Stef Perrys. I incorporated every color from the graphic on my card.

I decided to pair it with a Sketch, and that sent me right away over to Freshly Made Sketches. I took some creative liberties with this Sketch and hope that you can see my correlation with my garden pots and tools and the vertical stripes.

Card Details: This die set is called Garden Shed and is from Sizzix. The lattice in the background is from Whimsy Stamps and I cut it down and pieced it back together so the edges were the same. You can see a definite line at the bottom but that is okay. I used mirrored paper for my garden tools and plant basket/shelf. The greeting is from Your Next Stamp.

You will be seeing this set again that is for sure.

I hope you have a wonderful day and week ahead and find some time to be creative, Nanc’

You Brighten My Day

Hello, I hope you are doing well. I am back today with another card in a different colored background using the Scroll Label Hot Foil Plate. I think pink and silver is one of my all-time favorite color combos, throw in some lilac and white and you have a winning combination, in my opinion. I combined the intricate plate with the Four Petal Bloom Reflection which is also very pretty and easy to put together. I have also used Spellbinders-Mini Everday Sentiments for my greeting. I have everything linked up for you in multiple places if you care to take a look.

Taking photos continues to be a struggle for me some days, throw in foil, and boy oh boy it’s nearly impossible. This card is really quite nice in real life.

Sending Love and Prayers

Hello, It’s Saturday and time for Photo/Moodboard Week at Just Us Girls. Vicki is our hostess and she has a large moodboard with many possibilities for us, and hopefully you, to help spark the creative process. When I first looked at her board I was drawn to the Vanity Fair Graphic in the top corner and the two flowers front and center. I couldn’t decide which way to go, and then finally realized I could combine both of those pics into my design.

I am also playing along over at one of my other favorite challenges- Inkspirational Challenge where they want us to use Stencils.

Card Details: Gina K- Delightful Blooms Stencil in Mustard Seed Oxide Ink and Peeled Paint, Sending is from MFT, the Love and Prayers is from Gina K in her Peaceful Roses stamp set. I sponged the word Sending in yellow Oxide Ink onto yellow cardstock to give it a gradient look and shadowed it in Olive Green. The postage die is from Hero Arts.

I hope you will come on over to Just Us Girls and check out the DT and our Guest- Karen’s cards and play along!

Take care, Nanc’
