Happy Birthday

Hello, I am back today with a card for the latest challenge at The Paper Players. I love playing with my sweet friends over there and I also love Tic Tac Toe challenges, and that is what Anne Maria has for us today.

I am playing along with the diagonal row of Bright Colors, Die Cut, and Birthday.

Card Details: Pink Fresh Studio- Daisy Wreath, the Daisy stencil is from Miss Ink Stamps. The sentiment is an oldie from Verve. I am enjoying my new small blending brushes from Waffle Flower as they allow you to be more precise when ink blending. I have used a mix of Oxide inks and Catherine Pooler inks.

I so appreciate you stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day and a great week ahead! Nanc’

Sending you our thoughts and prayers

Hello, It’s the fifth Saturday of the month, and over at Just Us Girls, we have a new challenge for this rare occasion. What we want you to do is CASE one of the DT’s cards. I love this idea so much and am delighted that we have added it to our line-up. I really wish we could do it monthly as I think it’s going to be well received.

Card Details: The sentiment is (retired) from Stampin Up, and the background stitched cover-plate is from Pink Fresh Studio and is called Sparkling Diamonds. The flower die and paper wrap are from Spellbinders- Bouquet of Flowers and it is such a shame is no longer available. It is one of my favorites for sure. The bow is from Spellbinders, it comes from the Holiday Express Train set.

I certainly hope you will head over to Just Us Girls and play along! Before I go I want to say thank you to Joanne for being with us this month. We have really enjoyed having you guesting in our lineup.

Take care, Nanc’

Sending Prayers

Hello, Today I am playing along with Woodblock Wednesday over on Amy Tsuruta’s Blog- Tsuruta’s Designs. If you have not heard of it you should definitely check it out. I can imagine if you are a card maker you have some woodblock stamps that you just can’t part with. I have quite a few and have them on display in my studio. The card I made for this challenge certainly didn’t end up as it started but that’s the creative process, right?

Some Card Details: The Wooden stamp is so beautiful and called Wild Rose from Rubber Stampede. The prayers die and sentiments are from Hero Arts. I used a bit of white crayon to soften the stamped black lines as I had intended to do a crayon resist. The more I looked at it the more I liked how the panel looked and changed my mind. Things continued to change after that. Then, I cut out the word Prayers and layered the top piece with two other white layers to give it some depth. Next, I positioned prayers back on the card base and it just got so lost and you could hardly read it. By the way, you know how hard it was to get the nine small middles of those letters back where they went so the pattern continued and none of the teal card base showed through? It takes some skill and patience, which I luckily had today. LOL If you have done this technique before you understand exactly what I am talking about. After all of that, I decided to cut out one more layer in teal and put it on top. Low in behold, you actually could read it…LOL After I was completely done, I came back with a Prisma colored pencil and very loosely and softly colored the leaves.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day, and if you have time, join Amy and her fun challenge. Nanc’

HUGS

Hello, I am back with one more card for today and my second entry over at Sunday Stamps. I love the colors of their graphic so much that I wanted to make one more card before it closed.

Card Details: My dear friend gave me this card below about a year or so ago and it is displayed in my studio along with so many others of hers and friends I have made along this great journey I feel blessed to be on. I have been wanting to CASE her card for quite some time and I don’t own any stitched dies, as of yet, so I used Kelly Alpha dies from Pink Fresh Studio. The flowers are from Spellbinders in the Parcel Post set. The sentiment is from MFT. The banner dies are from Pink and Main. The background die is from Sunny Studios and is called Frilly Frames.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day! Nanc’

Balloons

Hello, I hope you are doing well. It’s the fourth Thursday of the month and time for the next Topping over at Seize the Birthday. Vicki has chosen a fun one for us! All you need is to add a balloon or two on your card. Remember, our toppings are always optional any Birthday card will do too. I have had this balloon stencil for over a year or more and it’s the first time I have used it.

Card Details: Stencil is from Catherine Pooler and the greeting is all in one and from MFT.

Now before I go I want to say thanks to Hilary for being such a fabulous Surprise Party Guest over the past two months. We really enjoyed all your wonderful cards. I also want to say welcome to Claire, she is with us as a guest as well, as she was the overall winner of our last challenge. Welcome to you, Claire.

Now, head on over to Seize the Birthday and check out all the cards featuring balloons by our talented team and guests! Take care, Nanc’

Sending Hugs

Hello, I hope you are doing well, and happy Monday! Today I had a bit of time to play along with the Sunday Stamps Challenge. They have a gorgeous color palette to choose from as you will see below. My card photo is a bit blurry and I realized it a bit too late, as I already put the card in the mailbox today.

For this challenge, you must use a minimum of three colors from the graphic below and I have used four. Some might say that the center of my flowers should be pink but I like that I made them the same color as the leaves and stems. We call that artistic license, don’t we!

Card Details: Gina K- Delightful Blooms stencil and Oxide Inks, the sentiment is from Altenew, and the butterflies are from Birch Press Design.

Thanks for stopping by today and take care, Nanc’

Have a Sweet Day

Hello, Happy weekend to you! Today over at Just Us Girls it’s CAS Week and the lovely Carol Mayne is our hostess, and she has asked us to use Food and or Beverages on our cards today. I was gifted a Sweet Treat MFT set and another set that had the birthday banner in it and I knew they would work out perfectly for today’s card.

I am linking up with Addicted to Stamps and More for their Any Occasion challenge and with Less Is More for their Anything Goes Challenge.

Card Details: First I used Oxide Inks in the shades of Fossilized Amber, Abandoned Coral, and Kitsch Flamingo to make my circle background. I used Copics and a bit of Prismas to color my images. The stamp sets I used are Sweet Treat and Itching to Tell You Happy Birthday.

I hope you will come on over to JUGS and join us for Clean and Simple Week.

Take care, Nanc’

Sending Sunshine and Smiles

Hello, I am back today, and this time I am playing along with Tic Tac Toe Challenge, DT member Karren made a fun board with many great possibilities. I have selected the column; Coloring, Critters, and Scene for my card. Sometimes coloring an entire scene can be too much when you don’t have a lot of time on your hands, and this card design was the perfect solution. It’s nearly a total case of this darling card here! I fell in love with that card and then I was gifted the die set by a dear friend and later went on to purchase the stamps and am delighted to finally use them.

Card Details: This set is from MFT and called Best Beach Friends and I just love it. I used oxide inks to make my beachy background before stamping. I have used Copics and Prismas to color my images.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day. Nanc’

Love Enclosed

Hello, Happy Monday! It’s a Monday for sure! If you ever hear me talking about remodeling any part of my house ever again, all I want you to do is remind me what a flippin’ disaster my bathroom remodel has been. Aggravated is an understatement of the century!

Anyhoo, let us talk about something else, shall we!

I am back with one more card using the Floral Paper Suite from Spellbinders. What is great about this collection is, it’s not grouped together so you can pick which pieces you want. I once again have the products I used linked for you below.

This card was totally out of my comfort zone, mind you not hard, just not something I typically do. This fancy fold is called the Angled Gatefold and you can find the instructions Here. I think it worked great with the beautiful papers in this collection. I decided a vellum belly band would work well to hold it closed but not hide any of the pretty papers.

Card Details: with Affiliate Inks

Floral Friendship 6 x 6 Paper Pad

Floral Friendship Butterfly Stickers

Floral Friendship Printed Die-cut

Spellbinders 6

Bearly Art Glue

Here is the inside of the card, it’s nothing special, and in order to not see the white card stock when the card is closed, I needed to put the panel off-centered and on the low side.

I certainly appreciate all the love you have given me with this collection. I have really enjoyed working with it and plan on making a few more cards sometime soon. After all, I still have plenty of supplies left. YAY!

Take care, Nanc’

Birthday Blessings

Hello, I am back today with a birthday card for the fabulous colors over at The Color Throwdown. I fell in love with the photo in their graphic along with DT member Lynn’s card.

Card Details: The greeting is an oldy but goodie from Verve. The scalloped pierce edges are from MFT. I used some Oxide inks to add some color to the lemons and leaves for a more realistic look. What is it about polka dots that is so appealing? I love them, do you?

By the way, the die set Lemon Zest is half-price currently at Spellbinders. I have a few of the products I used linked for you below!

Card Details: with Affiliate Inks

Lemon Zest

Spellbinders 6

Bearly Art Glue

Foam Squares

I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day and a great week ahead, Nanc’
