Sparkle and Shine

Hello, I hope this post finds you well! Today over at Seize the Birthday we have a new topping starting. Cathy is our sweet hostess and she wants us to add sparkle and or Shine to our Birthday cards. I thought this fun Pickup truck from Spellbinders would do the trick. I used fun mirrored paper for the bows, bumper, and side- mirrors. I guess I was driving too fast as the packages came spilling out of the back!

Here is a close-up!

Card Details: The cute little pick-up truck is from Spellbinders. The sentiment is a mix of Verve!

I hope you will come on over to Seize the Birthday and check out the fabulous cards by my Design team and our wonderful guest Vicky Hayes and while you are there get inspired to join us!

Take care and happy creating, Nanc’

Happy Birthday XOXO

Hi, Today’s card is for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge going on over at The Paper Players and for the Heart Challenge just starting at Double D.

For the Tic Tac Toe board, I chose the diagonal row of Birthday, Flower, Die-cut. I love using this die and have made valentines in the past, but thought the heart paper I had on my desk might make for a great Birthday card also, which I am in the need of very soon. I left some of the flowers opened so you can see the background paper behind and then pieced back some other ones using other colors. I love piecing things back together, to me it’s very relaxing.

Card Details: Heart die is SSS, the XOXO is from MFT, the Happy Birthday is also MFT.

Have a fabulous rest of your week! Nanc’

Flip Flop Birthday

Hello, We have the brightest and most beautiful Color Challenge starting today at The Paper Players! Claire is our fabulous hostess and she was so colorful in her selection. My first thought was to make the striped DSP to match the colors and I am glad I did.

Life is not improving and I am so lucky I worked way ahead on all my challenge blogs as I hate to let anyone down, so I am going to have to wrap this up!

Here is card number 2.

I am going to be linking up over at Happy Little Stampers as well with Anything Goes with dies.

A Few Card Details: Tags and the scalloped die are from MFT, I made the flip flops from Impression Obsession die with strips of paper. The first cards sentiment is from MFT and the second card’s sentiment is from Honey Bee Stamps. The hearts on the flip flops are from the SU owl punch.

Nautical

Hello, We are back again over at Seize the Birthday and we have a fun challenge for you to get creative with. Lindsey has chosen Nautical as our topping. I was so happy when I saw this topping coming up as I adore making Nautical themed cards.

We also have a brand new Surprise Party Guest joining us for the next two months at STB. Welcome Melanie Hungerford! We are so happy to have you designing alongside us!

Remember over at Seize the Birthday our topping is optional and you can always go the direction of justing making a birthday card!

Card Details: I borrowed this fun background stamp and sentiments from a friend and it’s from Avery Elle. Thanks Carol. I masked off the center to leave an oval. Then I cut out my anchor on my Cameo. Last, I added the twine and some Honey Bee Stamps Dew drops.

Hope to see you over at STB! Take care, Nanc’

Wheels

Hello, I hope you are doing well. Today over at Seize the Birthday, Shirley has this awesome idea for a topping…the topping she chose is Wheels. When I saw this topping coming up the pipeline I was glad I had recently purchased this bicycle die set. Such a quick and simple card to throw together.

Please join us at Seize the Birthday as the design team and our guest Melanie were very creative with our topping!

Please take care, Nanc’

Happy Birthday at Color Hues

Second post of the day! Please scroll down if you are looking for The Paper Players!

Hello, Here we are to the middle of the month and time for the next Hues of Color at Color Hues. Lindsey has chosen a fabulous color combo for us. My son made a great suggestion the other night when I was asking him about a computer problem I was having, he showed me how to add a little animation to our graphics at Color Hues. I was giddy as a little kid when I was done. It doesn’t take much to make me happy! And it’s fun to liven things up once in awhile! What do you think?

Card Details: All dies and or stamps are from Stampin Up and the DSP-who knows!

As I always say but is so very true…the Design Team and our guest Janet did an incredible job with these colors…please come by and check them out. Then, I also hope you join us!

Take care and happy creating, Nanc’

Celebrate Your Day

Hello, It’s time for Color Week at Just Us Girls and Maria has a pretty trio for us. Before I get much further, I promise that the side piece of my card is more on the lavender side of things than blue as it appears in the picture. Plus the sentiment and the center of my lilies are dark shade of purple as well.

My philosophy when it comes to color challenges is, as long as your in the same color family and didn’t throw in a bunch of random colors that aren’t in the challenge or graphic you should be good to go. I believe the team would agree!

Once again I am playing along with the Happy Little Stampers Challenge– Anything Goes with Dies and The Global Design Project as their theme is Birthdays.

Card Details: MFT- Lily dies, the Greeting is from Verve, The scalloped, rectangle, and the rounded edge dies are all MFT, the tag die is Spellbinders. The DSP…who knows. I have a few Dew drops on there too.

Come play along with us at JUGS! We would love to have you!

Take care, Nanc’

Happy Birthday, Beautiful

Hello, We have a fabulous Topping starting today over at Seize the Birthday. Colleen chose Bouquet, and I think everyone is really going to have fun with this one, I sure did.

I am also joining The Flower Challenge as they asked us to use our Favorite Flower. I have always loved lilies since I was a kid as my mom had them all over the yard. Now, I do too. I love that there are so many variations of colors. I just bought some new Night Lilies this year. They are a deep dark purple and white.

They are still celebrating their 2nd Birthday over at AAA Birthday, congrats to them! So I am linking once again with the fun over there.

Card Details: I had this background waiting on my desk for a few weeks now and wasn’t quite sure what I was going to do with it. It was made with Oxide inks, white pigment ink, and a Heart stencil from Honey Bee Stamps. I first made the outline stencil from a very old Spellbinders die. The beautiful lily die is from MFT and I just love how they look. The greeting is also MFT and comes from the Birthday Buddies Stamp Set.

Now, come on over to Seize the Birthday and check out the rest of the DT’s lovely cards and join us!

Take care, Nanc’

Layers at Just Us Girls

Hello, I am back again today for the next Trend Challenge at Just Us Girls. Ina is our hostess and she has chosen layers for us this time around. Even though lately I am trying to change my card making style to be more Clean and Simple, layering is really where my wheel house generally is. So this wasn’t difficult at all. I think I have 8 layers in all.

I am joining in the fun over at AAA Birthday where they are celebrating their 2nd Birthday! Congrats AAA!

Card Details: All the die cuts are from Stampin Up. I just love this sunflower die set so very much! And the greeting is from Stampendous. I used my Fiskars victorian blade to get my pretty border. I bet I have had both pieces of DSP for at least 10 years. A few gold sequins to finish it off.

Come by JUGS and join us! Happy creating, Nanc’
