STB is Hopping with Altenew!

Hello friends, Today is a fun day for my fabulous Design Team and I over at Seize the Birthday, we are one of the many guests taking part in The Ultimate Challenge Blog Hop with Altenew! We are absolutely thrilled that they contacted us to join them! Did I mention they have prizes too? You have got to see the LONG list of Challenge Blogs joining the hop! It’s incredible!!!

Before I go, my card was made with the Altenew stamp set called Botanical Garden. I colored the rose buds with my Spectrum Noir pens and used some additional shading with some Prisma Colored Pencils. The sentiment is heat embossed and the black and white background was made with the same rose bud stamp. I added a little bit of white dots for some added interest. Die Cut Crazy Blog Hop

My holiday project I am sharing today is….a Valentine card!

BTW…My card is a little oversized and measures 4 3/4 x 5 1/2.

The first thing I did was cut out a 4 inch heart with my Cricut.

The next step was to make (6 ) 2 1/4 slits down the center of the hearts

with a Xacto knife approx. 3/4 inches apart.

Then I cut out 4 strips of ivory card stock 5/8″ wide…length doesn’t matter.

Now, the fun part it’s time to weave.

Here I just trimmed off to the size I wanted and put a tiny bit of glue on the

ends to keep them in place.

The scalloped border was something from Creative Memories that I bet I have had for 8 years.

I added the Ivory victorian border that was cut with my Fiskars cutter.

The sentiment is from Gina K Designs along with the Spellbinders fancy tag.

Added a ribbon and some pop dots and I was done.

Halloween was always such a fun holiday growing up! I remember the excitement building and then the fun school Halloween parties to the furious finale….trick or treating! Join us on our haunting hop! Here is my Card for this HOP!

It’s a type of Tri-fold card just like my last Halloween card from a few days ago!

Love the close up of the pumpkin!

I took my little letter stamps and stamped them on cardstock in a up and down pattern…

then took a ruler and a black pen and added the outline to define the sign so I could cut it out. Hope that makes sense!

Some details: The cardstock and DP is mostly Creative Memories, the Happy Halloween I made with some letter stamps I have had for a long time.

Used my Scallop Nestabilities from GKD… add some MS punch leaves and some twine and some black ink for added effects and there you have it!
