Color my world with family, friends and some time to be creative making cards!

Shoot for the Moon

Always shoot for the moon and even if you miss you will land in the stars…. This is one of my son’s favorite quotes and mottos.   I have had this stamp for about 10 years and it’s one of those oversights that I don’t know why I never used it much.  I was looking through my sentiments and thought this makes a perfect pair. BINGO!  Love when that happens!  I am entering this card in a challenge over at Casual Fridays which has asked us to make something you would see in the sky and it is also being entered in a Stamp TV challenge to use a stamp twice…one time as the focal point on your card or project and second as the background.  This was a fantastic challenge idea!  I used a little bit of colored pencil on the image to make it POP!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and hope you find time to be crafty!  Hubby is going golfing so I will be in my Studio! Cha CHING!!

3 hours and counting!  That’s what I just saw when I checked to see when the sketch challenge over at Casual Friday’s ended!  Geez “Leppek”…you have been really cutting it close lately, or missing the boat all together!  Anyhoos, luckily the card was finished and the photo had already been taken!  This sketch was so simple and unique it intrigued me to have a go at it!   Thanks for stopping by, I so love when you do!

My son will be home from college tomorrow….insert Happy Girl doing the Happy Dance here!!!  I miss him so!!!

Enjoy your night,

What’s Shaking?

I can’t help but chuckle to myself every time I use this great Bunny Stamp from Verve.  It’s just so stinkin cute!  The challenge I am playing along with is over at Casual Fridays.  They asked us to make a card and incorporate a pun or silly joke in the sentiment!  This fits perfectly!

It’s not to late to join us…go have a look here!

Casual Friday’s Challenge

Hi friends!  The card I have for you today is for Casual Friday’s Challenge.  Don’t you just sometimes love a clean and simple card?  I have a hard time making CAS cards and then when I am done, I usual like it and think…why don’t I make more of these!  LOL  I sent this to a very dear lady who my family and I have practically adopted!  Hope she likes it!  Thanks for stopping by,  Nancy

Bridal Shower Card

I enjoyed the challenges I played in over the weekend so much that I decided to enter one more time in the Casual Friday’s challenge. The challenge was to create a Card or project with a Tag on it. I made this card for my hubby’s nephew who is getting married.  I thought the two hearts were a nice touch for a Bridal Shower card.

Hope your having a great week!

Casual Friday’s Challenge

The challenge that I took part in over at Casual Fridays was to Create a Clean and Simple project using at least 3 shades of a monochromatic color (your choice) PLUS Brown.  I decided to give shades of Blue a try, which is one color I find I do not use very often.  The more I thought about this the more I realized how strange this was, because when I was younger, Blue was my favorite color.  LOL
I so enjoy when you stop by and leave a comment…. thanks so much,
