Happy Birthday with Alcohol Inks

Hello, It’s time for the next Topping at Seize the Birthday. This time Shirley is our wonderful Hostess and she has asked us to incorporate Alcohol into our cards. I chose to use the crafty side of things instead of the one you consume. 🙂 However, you certainly could use both.

It has been so long since I used this great coneflower from Honey Bee Stamps and as expected it worked out perfectly as I had planned. Even if your alcohol inked panel isn’t as pretty as you had hoped it would be, by the time you cut it up and layer the flower back together it hides the imperfections. Love that!

The sentiment is a premade one from Pretty Pink Posh that works great when you don’t have a bunch of time. Of course, I had to use my go-to gold paper dots for my bling. The background frame was made with a cover plate called Sparkling Diamonds from Pink Fresh Studios.

I certainly hope you will head over to Seize the Birthday and check out my fabulous teammates’ cards along with our guest Hilary! Everyone did a wonderful job!

Take care and happy crafting, Nanc’

Use a Stencil at STB

Hello, I am back today with the next topping at Seize the Birthday and Vicki our host has chosen one that I know is going to be a big hit. It is certainly one I loved right away! You may have noticed that I rarely make a card now without breaking out a stencil or two. LOL

Card Details: Coneflower-Honey Bee Stamps, the leaf stencil background is from Miss Ink Stamps, the greeting is from SU- I do believe. The clear dewdrops are from Honey bee Stamps.

I hope you will break out those stencils, that I know you have, and join us at Seize the Birthday sometime over the next two weeks! The Design Team and our guest, Lorraine did an amazing job!

Take care and I hope you do something today that brings you JOY! Nanc’

Happy Birthday-Coneflower

Hello all! Second post today! If you are looking for Just Us Girls please scroll down!

I hope you are doing well! It’s the middle of the month already and time for the next hues of color at Color Hues. Sweet Tracey is our hostess this time around and she has picked a wonderful color combo for us. I realized as I was typing this post, that I used the coneflower set from Honey Bee Stamps for my very last card for Color Hues also. Well, there is no denying how much I love that die, now is there?

*Since I first wrote this post I had some time to make another card using this color combination and with something other than the coneflower…LOL.

The DSP did all the work for me and some MFT dies and stamps.

Card Details: Coneflower-Honey Bee Stamps, The happy die is MFT the Birthday is from SU. The lattice-die background is from Whimsy Stamps. I used some Oxide Inks to give my flower some added color-depth. I also used gold Nuvo drops for the center of the flower.

Now, If you need some inspiration you must head on over to Color Hues and check out the team’s cards, as they will certainly inspire you!

I hope you find something to do today that brings you joy, Nanc’

Just for you Friend

Hello, It is April 1st already, No Fooling! And we all know that on the first of the month it’s time for the Next Hues of Colors @ Color Hues! Sheri has picked a color combo that most of the card makers in blog land are certainly going to just love, I know I do. I know there are some non-pink people out there, for some odd reason. However, for this challenge, you should just embrace it and live a little. LOL

I do love the way my card turned out if I was to be brutally honest! You just can’t go wrong with that Honey Bee Cone Flower.

I am also joining in the fun over at Just Add Ink where the challenge is Choose Two-Flower and Patterned Paper.

Card Details: Cone Flower-Honey Bee Stamps, circle dies are from SY, the Just for you…I am uncertain and the friend is also Honey Bee Stamps. Love this DSP that I found in my stash and didn’t know I had. I also used Oxide Inks to color the flower. Clear Dewdrops are from Honey Bee Stamps, and I only use them on special cards.

Now run on over to Color Hues and check out the work from my wonderful Design Team and our two guests- Carol and Trina, cause all their work is amazing.

Take care and do something today that brings you JOY and I am not fooling, Nanc’

Sending Lots of Hugs

Hello, I am back again today with another Honey Bee Stamps Coneflower card. I am still working on perfecting the shades of color on the flower by inking up either white or colored cardstock. I have another card where I am very happy with the way the flower turned out, but this one isn’t so bad. I hope to put that flower on a card very soon. Kinda wish I hadn’t put on the white dots in the center of the flower, oh well!

My card was inspired by the great color challenge going on over at The Color Throwdown. DT member Susie picked a great one that caught my attention right away. Check it out below. A lot of the supplies for this card were leftovers in my bits and boxes that I am determined to use up or organize this week. Do you have any organizational plans in the New Year when it comes to crafting? I just got finished labeling the stencils that I have in a 3 ringed binder. I am really happy about that! No more having to jog my memory on whose it is or what it’s called, it also makes putting them back easier. The binder is quite full and it appears I have an addiction to stenciling. LOL

Card Details: Coneflower-Honey Bee Stamps inked on light yellow cardstock, Hugs die -MFT, Sending lots of-Gina K., Scalloped Rectangles-MFT, Border Punch is from Martha Stewart, Leaves are from Sizzix and embossed with a dotted EF, Nuvo drops, Inked up the flower with some Oxide Inks and a bit of Copics, White Gel Pen. DSP is a great pack from Pink and Main.

Thanks for coming by as I appreciate your visits! Take care, Nanc’
