Have a Cozy Birthday

Hello, It’s Saturday and time for Photo/MoodBoard Week at Just Us Girls. Bobby is our wonderful hostess and she has a fun board for us to be inspired by. As soon as I saw her collage of photos I knew which set I was going to pull out to use.

Card Details: All MFT products-DSP, Die sets; Decor and More, Take a Seat, Fundamental Furnishings, Potted Plants and the sentiment is from the Couch Potato set. The small rectangle is also MFT and called Wacky rectangles.

I appreciate you stopping by and I hope you will come on over to Just Us Girls and check out what the team has done this week…along with our guest Clarie. I certainly was inspired!

Take care, Nanc’

A Cozy Birthday

Hello, I hope you are doing well! I don’t know about you but when my mojo is missing and I need a quick jumpstart one of the things that I do is… pull out a few fun die sets from MFT and decorate a space. Nothing like a bit of interior decorating to spark some creativity.

Also, the Spots and or Stripes from AAA Birthday helped with my interior design.

Card Details: MFT dies- Potted Plants, Decor and More, Take a Seat and Couch Potato Sentiment set.

Thanks for coming by and I hope you are having a wonderfully creative day! Nanc’

Photo Week @ JUGS

Hello, If you are visiting me from the states, I hope you have recuperated from either too much food on Thanksgiving and or Black Friday shopping. I stayed clear of both! I did feast on Thanksgiving I just knew when to quit this year. lol As far as shopping, I always stay clear of crowds. I think we can thank Covid for that.

Anyways, Today over at Just Us Girls it’s our final challenge of 2022, and have we got a gorgeous pic for you chosen by the one and only Carol Mayne. I loved it as soon as I saw it! Thanks, Carol for picking a picture that suggested I pull out my MFT Couch Kit once again. Insert childish grin! The only thing missing from my card (that hubby pointed out) is a fireplace and lamp. The lamp I had ready to go, I just forgot to add it till it was too late.

I also want to thank Karren Johnson for being with us to close out 2022. You did an incredible job with all the challenges and we loved having you as our guest! Take care!

Card Details: The only things that are not part of the MFT collection on my card are the blue bows on the tree, the gifts under the tree, and the star upon the tree. The bows are from Paper Smooches and the gifts I made. The star is from who knows!

I am also linking up with TWO other challenges. First is the Peace on Earth Christmas Challenge. For this challenge, they have a mood board to inspire you but you can also just do anything Christmas. Next, I am also linking up with the Tic Tac Toe Challenge where I have chosen the top row of; December Holiday, Diecut, and Embellishment.

I hope you will pop on over to Just Us Girls and play along with us. Happy creating, Nanc’

Wednesday Sketch at MFT

Hello, I am back today with another card. This time I am joining the MFT Wednesday Sketch. As soon as I saw the brick wall I knew I wanted to play along. I thought, why not use my favorite MFT Couch Kit and make a Christmas-themed patio card. I thought it would be different to be outside the house gazing in instead of the other way around. Do you decorate your outdoor space for the Holidays? When you looked at my card did you know right away that MC stood for Merry Christmas? Inquiring minds want to know.

Card Details: There are only three things on my card that are not MFT. The tree in the window is from Impression Obsession. The wreath and the bow on the large plant are both from Sizzix and in the Christmas Mini’s set from Tim Holtz. Even the tiny MC letters are MFT and called Bottle Cap Letters. I used Black oxide ink for my stenciling.

I hope however you chose to spend your day, it’s a happy one! Take care, Nanc’

Greetings from the Couch

Hello, I hope you are off to a great start this week. The days are certainly flying by, aren’t they? I am in no way ready for the Holiday Season. How about you? I think it’s coming even if we aren’t ready!

Today’s card is using some of my favorite sets from MFT and it just so happens that MFT has 10% off their entire site from the 13th-16th including their new release. So now is your chance! Lucky for me when I got my Couch kit it included all the pieces to make some really great cards and what a great value it was. If you have never purchased one of their kits I highly recommend them. However, this kit is no longer available but you can still pick and choose the stamp and or die sets that you want to make this card. You will just have to hunt around a bit. I have linked up the scene-building area for you on their website to help you.

I am linking up this card with Tic Tac Toe using the diagonal row of Any Shape, Free, and Sentiment. Also over at Happy Little Stampers for Anything Goes with Dies.

Card Details: All products are from MFT including the brick stencil background. I got a little heavy-handed when I inked it up with my Oxide ink. I was hoping the furniture would hide most of the imperfections. The DSP also is from MFT.

Thanks for popping by! Take care and happy crafting! Nanc’

Cozy Birthday and a Happy Accident

Hello, It’s Saturday and time for the next challenge over at Just Us Girls. It’s photo week and as soon as I saw this challenge coming up it gave me the perfect excuse to use one of my favorite MFT sets again. I wanted to make sure I incorporated the hanging plant in my design and I knew I had just the thing. I had a very happy accident on this card. Every time I use mirrored paper I inevitably get the residue of glue on the cardstock. So I decided to get out my paper piercer and try to remove it. I ended up scratching the pot and thought it looked so cool and ended up scratching them all. I LOVE it!!!!

I am linking up with Addicted to Stamps and More for their Any Occasion challenge as well.

Card Details: MFT- Couch Kit, Sentiment-Couch Potato, the hanging plant, and the plant shelf are both from the set Sizzix-Garden Shed. I am incredibly happy with how this came together.

The Just Us Girls team and guest Fran did a wonderful job with this challenge so I hope you come over and take a look at how they were inspired.

Take care and I hope you get to do something today that makes your heart happy, Nanc’

Greetings from the Couch

Hello, Let me make it perfectly clear that the challenge blogs are just enabling me with furniture-themed photos this week. Have you noticed? 🙂 I have found three of them. I wasn’t disappointed when I saw this photo below over at Inkspirational as it gave me yet another excuse to make another couch card. YAY! I kept this one on a more CAS side.

The photo is a bit hard to see but let me explain how I was inspired. I saw a lot of texture in this pic and a lot of earth tones with just a few pops of color. So, I decided to find some paper that would play off the floor, walls, and ceiling. The couch color was inspired by whatever that may be in the far right of the photo. I added a few pops of green foliage like you see hanging from the ceiling.

Card Details: MFT- Couch Card Kit.

I hope you have a terrific start to your week! Take care and happy creating, Nanc’

Card Concept-Red, White, and Blue

I am back again today with another card using the MFT card kit and If you are tired of seeing these types of cards, I am truly sorry! Not sorry enough to stop, but still very, very sorry! LOL. As soon as I saw the challenge photo over at The Card Concept, I knew this set would work so perfectly. See, I was forced to use this set again! Isn’t that sentiment just fabulous?

As you can probably tell, I was inspired by the colors, the stars and stripes, and the cozy setting for a Clean and Layered Design.

Card Details: MFT Couch Kit, the brick wall was made using a SU embossing folder that I inked with brown ink. The brick background had been in my stash for quite some time and I am happy that I finally put it to use. I inked the sky of the window with Oxide Ink. The Picture window and drape die are an added accessory that doesn’t come in the kit. I am super glad I purchased it though.

I hope you enjoy your day and spend a bit of time doing something that brings you JOY!

Take care, Nanc’

Color Throwdown

Hello, I am back today with another card using the fabulous colors going on over at the Color Throwdown. I am getting in under the wire! Amy is the hostess over there and she is a big fan of Schitt’s Creek and that is where her inspiration photo comes from. Not to mention those cookies look amazing! I love the show, but dear hubby feels differently about it and we always watch TV together so I will have to binge a few more episodes the next time he goes out for the day. As soon as I saw that color pallet, I knew it would work well, as I yet again design a pretend living room. This MFT Card Kit makes me feel like an interior designer, where the sky is the limit! I have made 5 cards so far and really don’t want to stop.

Card Details: Everything you see is from the MFT Card Kit. I used some Oxide inks to make the sky out the window. I used mirrored paper for my baseboard and curtain rod. My favorite parts of this card are the striped curtains and the patterned pillows. So fun! I could live here!

I appreciate you checking in on me. Take care, Nanc’

More Couch Kit and a Mistake

Hello, I am back this afternoon with another card using the new MFT Couch Kit. This time I am joining the MFT Color Challenge. I am totally enjoying myself, to say the least. If you know me you know that being home and crafting is certainly okay with me on this Holiday weekend, it’s over 90 degrees outside anyways. No thank you!

Where is the mistake, you ask? I decided to make some shiplap for the top of my wall and when I went to adhere the background piece to my card stock base I put it on upside down. Now I guess it looks like white hardwood floors. LOL Next time, I will build my card completely and then adhere the base, and maybe I will have less of a chance of making that mistake again.

The patterned paper in my stash was so perfect for my couch as it has two tones of blue and kraft in the pattern.

I am also going to link my card up over at Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge-Anything Goes, along with Addicted to Stamps and More for their Stencil and or Die Cut Challenge.

Card Details: Everything you see is from the MFT Card Kit. I used some Oxide inks to make the sky out the window and I trimmed the window and curtains down as I needed a smaller window in the space I provided.

So far I have shown you 2 out of 4 of the cards I have made with this Kit. Stay tuned!

I hope you are having a great day! Nanc’
