Today’s card is for another new challenge site that I am so excited about called

The Cutting Edge

It was also started by Jackie Rockwell (she has been busy) and I wanted to make sure I played along!

You have to check it out…it’s Design Team has so much talent!

Here is the Inspiration behind their first challenge!

TCEC_1_thumb[2]

I paired up this challenge with this great Sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.

I really like this Sketch….I will be using it again!

FMS Final 143-001

Then I got out my Cricut and Cuttlebug and went to work.

Love using Hexagons for a change and the Word So is from

an Old Stampin UP set and the Word Happy is from Verve.

Hope you have a creative day and while your at it

go check out both of these Challenge blogs I have linked them up for you!

Take care,

Freshly Made Sketch

Hello Friends,

Today’s card is for this great sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.

When I saw all the circles and then remembered I needed an upcoming Birthday

card using balloons…I knew I could blend those two things together perfectly!

IMG_0009

FMS Final 123-001

In hindsight I wish I hadn’t started putting the doodle dots everywhere with a pen.

I cut out the 50 using my Cricut and the balloons are made with a MS punch,

along with the small hearts.

The sentiment is from Close To My Heart in the Birthday Occasions set.

Some pop dots, ribbon and black twine and that sums it up.

Have a spectacular day and find sometime to be creative,

Nanc’

LOVE at JUGS and a Color Challenge

Hello Happy Weekend,

Today over at Just Us Girls, Marisa has this great photo to inspire us!

Look at all that LOVE Inspiration you can pull from to get your MOJO flowing!

Screen Shot 2014-01-11 at 7.59.15 PM

The Bold letters are what first inspired me and then the rest just fell into place.

I had some watercolor paper still out on my desk from another soon to post

project and I enjoyed using it so much I decided to use it again.

JUGS

I am also entering this in the color challenge over at The Pink Elephant!

The colors this week are Pink, Red and your choice!

I obviously chose green!

TPE-ColorChallenge2

Card Details:

That heart vine image is one of the first stamps I ever purchased and it’s from Studio G,

and I probably picked it up at Michaels.

Used my SU watercolor brush and Real Red and Lucky Limeade Ink.

I used my Fiskars cutter to make the fancy Victorian edge and then decided not to waste

that piece and put it on the other side.  ( ignore the smudge mark) 😦

Made the letters with my Cricut and ran them through my Cuttlebug!

Really happy with the outcome!

Come on over to Just Us Girls and join us!

Just a reminder:  if you win Chic of the Week in any of our January challenges,

Die Cut Crazy latest project

Hello Crafters,

This was my submission for this month’s Die Cut Crazy magazine…
seo_cw_product

If you want all the details on how this project came to be you can

click on the image above and it will take you to the iTunes store.

A co-worker asked me to decorate this picture frame with an inspirational word

that she could look at every time she wakes up in the morning.

I chose BELIEVE!  Such a powerful word …wouldn’t you agree?

It all starts with a picture frame.

Mine is 5 x 7, but any size will do!

And this is the finished project!

My co-worker loved it by the way!
Hope I have inspired you to create one of your own!
Find time to be creative…it’s good for the soul!

Stamp TV Sketch Challenge

Hi…I have a quick post that I almost forgot to get up in time!

Over at Stamp TV, they have this great sketch challenge that ends today at 8!

I really loved this sketch and will use it again I am sure!!

I made this card yesterday for a dear co-worker that turned 60 today!

IMG_0017

The card stock is a mixture of Stampin Up, K & Company and scraps.

The Sentiment is for Inspiration Mosaic from Gina K and the

label that the 60 is in is also Gina K called Lovely Labels 1.

The center of the flower and the stem die is from My Favorite Things.

Used a Victoria Cuttlebug embossing folder and my Cricut to cut out the 60.

Hope you have a great day!

Color Challenge time at JUGS

Hi friends,

Vicki is hosting over at Just Us Girls this week and here are the colors

she chose for us to work with this week!

Kraft or Brown – Baja Breeze – Marina Mist

I have really been hooked on Marina Mist lately!

Do you ever get stuck on a color and you can’t stop?

Screen Shot 2013-12-28 at 3.45.18 PM

I am also linking this up with a great sketch over at Seize the Sketch!

This card was really fun to put together!

I relied heavily on my Cricut this week for all the extra swirls around my flowers.

The heart border punch is Martha Stewart, and the flowers are Recollections.

The sentiment is from Verve in the Take Note stamp set.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend…3 day weekend for me…Woop Woop!

I hope you will stop by Just Us Girls to see what the rest of the team and Geri,
our guest designer,  have created with these colors!
 Also,
Winning  Chic of the Week puts you in the running for the GD spot.
The Chic picked from the January challenges will be invited to join the team
as our Guest Designer for the month of March.

Winter at Seize the Birthday and more!

Here is my post over at  Seize the Birthday everyone!

Since at least half of our country is having a major blast

of Winter right about now, I thought it might be fun to incorporate

that as our ” Toppings” option this week.

Our “Toppings” option is

WINTER

So break out those winter stamps, die cuts and or punches and let

us see how you interpret the winter season!

I hope you all decide to join me!

Just remember to keep it a Birthday Theme!

stb

The  paper and ink is all Stampin up.

The Sentiment is also SU and is in the Blue Ribbon set.

The larger snowflakes that are actually Doilies are made with my Cricut.

The smaller snowflakes are a Martha Stewart Punch.

The base panel is a starburst technique and was very fun to make.

You can find many of them over on Youtube.

I learned how from my SU consultant.  She is the BEST!

Some silver Stickles, ribbon, and pop dots finished off my card!

Please head on over to Seize the Birthday and join me …it would make my day!

Here are the Links to my talented teammates to get you started!

Happy 40th Birthday…

Hello my faithful friends,

A co- worker asked if I would make a 40th Birthday card for her with a flower on it.

I knew right away that I was going to get to use my new Verve stamps and Dies

that I had just recently won!  Woohoo!  I hope she likes Poppies!

I got this amazing card idea from Julee herself…the owner and creator of

Verve Stamps.  If you have never seen or used Verve Stamps…I highly recommend them!!

They stamp beautifully and are really good quality!!  I have been a huge fan since I started stamping!

Here is a link to their blog as well!

Here is my card …

IMG_0022

and here is Julees!

VG_AmazingPoppies550

Love her added sequins!!

Isn’t fabulous??

And she says she can’t do Clean and Simple….bahahhaha  wrong! 🙂

I used my Cricut to make my letters and numbers and the word birthday….

is actually part of a stamp from Close to My Heart.

I used a MS border lace punch and lots of pop dots!

I am linking this up to the Dynamic Duos color challenge this week.

My colors are a little lighter but in the same family, so I hope it’s okay…fingers crossed!

Thanks for checkin’ in on me…I love when you stop by!

I will be back tomorrow with a great card based on a sketch from Seize the Sketch!

Until then…..happy stamping!
