Just Breathe

Hello, I had some time today in between baking and prepping for Thanksgiving to get inky so I went in search of a challenge to join in on.  I found the Inkspirational Challenge and they want us to just Frame It. This card was fun and quick to put together.

Card Details: The Peony stencil is from SSS, the flowers are from SU, and the greeting is from SU.

I am not sure if I will be stamping and or posting anything tomorrow or not so I would like to take a moment and wish all my U.S. friends a Happy Thanksgiving!    I am grateful for ALL of you!

Hugs, Nanc’

Pink and Brown

Hello, Today starts our new challenge over at Color Hues and the colors we have for you are Pink and Brown. These just so happen to be one of my all-time favorite color combinations.  I love how quick this card came together.  I used a couple of Stampin Up die-cut sets for this card.  They are Sunflower and Seasonal Layers.

As you may imagine the Color Hues Design Team and our guest Susie Moore did another amazing job with the colors.  Come check them out and play along.

Have a really wonderful day, Nanc’

No Line Watercoloring

Hi, No Line Water-coloring or should I say…ATTEMPTING No Line Watercoloring over at Just Us Girls today. If I had more time I would have been happy to try again but since I didn’t, I decided to do my best to hide my terrible flower with a bow! LOL. I guess I shouldn’t have picked a sheer one. LOLOLOL My dear friend Barb sent me this Gina K Designs image with a sticky note that said try no-line water-coloring with this.  I am sure she will not be impressed as she is fabulous at it. LOL  Oh well, I will try again sometime soon.

The MFT hello die was dipped in gold glitter to add some interest or distraction.LOL  And the tag die is also MFT.

Hope to see you in our gallery at JUGS! A huge thanks to Sue our DT member that pushed us to try something new and or challenging! Come play along.

Sending Love

Hello, You may have noticed that things have been quiet here over the past two weeks or so hopefully, life will slow down just a bit and go back to a somewhat slower pace. I won’t go into the long drawn out story but my father needed lots of care when I returned from vacation and things are finally improving. Thank goodness, it was kinda scary there for a little while. So the extra card making that I was doing prior to vacation had come to a complete halt. Today I had a chance to clean my house and stamp a little.  I decided to play along over at Just Add Ink where they want us to only use Stamps, Ink, and Paper.

This was a quick one layer card using two Stampin Up sets; Lots of Love and What I Love.

Thanks for the visit and I hope you are having a wonderful day, Nanc’

I often think…

Hello, I am here today to bring you my card for the next pair of color at Color Hues. It is our 5th challenge already…where does the time go?

The flower image I have for you today is a digi from Power Poppy. I have been wanting to print and color this blossom for quite some time but was waiting till I finally bought a laser printer to do so. Now, hubby and I are wondering why we didn’t do it eons ago. It prints like a dream and the ink doesn’t dry out!! My friend Barb got me interested in the images over at Power Poppy where she is a DT member.  If you haven’t checked out their site or her site you should. I have linked them both up for you.

After I was done coloring my Cherry Blossom with Copics I just wasn’t happy with the stark white background and decided to turn it into a tag.  That helped some, but not enough. So I decided to do the dot trick with Copics that you have seen me use before. Now I love it! I used some twine, sequins, and a fabulous sentiment from Stampin Up to finish it off. The fun DP is from Stampin Up too and I just love it!

Please come over to Color Hues and check out what the team and our guest JoAnn have done with the colors.  You won’t be disappointed, I guarantee it!

Take care, Nanc’

Wishing You Well…

Hello, I am the hostess this week at Just Us Girls and it happens to be Photo Week. I thought this picture was just lovely and hope you and the girls over at JUGS did too!

Card Details:  I used a mix of three mediums to color my image.  Watercolors, Watercolored pencils, and Zigs. I heat embossed the image with white Embossing powder first. This stamp is from Northwoods Rubber Stamps, and the sentiment is from Stampin Up.  The flowers and background paper are burnt orange and not red as they may appear in the photo.

Come play along with us this week! Nanc’

Color Week at JUGS!

Well, here it is Saturday once again! We have the next trio of colors starting at Just Us Girls.  However, I did not go the traditional Halloween way for my card…I had to be one of the defiant ones. LOL

Card Details:  The flowers and leaves are from SU, the stencil is from Altenew, and the sentiment is from Hear Arts. The scalloped rectangle is from MFT.

I hope you will come check out the cards from the Design Team and our guest Karen and play along! Nanc’

Plaid

Hello,  We have a great word selected by Bobby for you this week at Just Us Girls… the word is Plaid. I have this great buffalo check stamp from SU that I used to make my background. I used a mix of colored pencil and Copics for the medium.  The background was made with a Copic marker as well. The coaster die is from the Greetery. The stamp set and greeting are SU.

I have made a card similar to this in the past and I loved it so I did it again!

We have a brand new guest with us this month and she just so happens to be on my Design team over at Color Hues.  Please help me in welcoming Karen Walker to JUGS for the month.  Welcome, Karen!

Hope to see you in our gallery!

Take care,

Nanc’

It’s Pandamonium…

Hello, Today I am here with a cute little CAS panda card and it is perfect with the way I feel some days.  Over at Just Us Girls Sue has chosen the word leaves for this challenge.  I was going to make a fall card but since it’s 90+ degrees here with a feels like of 110…I just wasn’t feeling it. LOL  I absolutely can not wait for cooler temperatures!

I have used these guys once before and loved how nice they stamped.  I added a little bit of colored pencil to make them look a bit more fluffy and not so stark white.

The leaves are from Stampin Up and the pandas are from Woodware Craft collection.

We have a new Designer with us this month.  It’s my good friend Lindsey!  Welcome Linsey!  Her card is fabulous! you must go and check it out!

Hope to see you over at JUGS and take care, Nanc’

You had me at Coffee

Hello,  Coffee is always a good idea, that is my motto.  Over at Just Us Girls we have this great photo challenge starting. It is not a secret that I will forever be a Verve fan.  The sets I am working with here today are a mix of stamps, digis, and dies all designed by Julee Tilman from Verve.  Sadly she is not in business anymore, but luckily enough she is still creating.  The heart die is MFT and the background paper is from SU.  Isn’t it just perfect for coffee rings?

I colored my cups with Copics and I used colored pencils for the lids.

Please come join by Just Us Girls, the team has a fabulous array of cards to see. Nanc’
