Hello Friends,
It felt great to get in the studio yesterday afternoon and create something for
a challenge outside of my Design Teams. LOVE my Design teams don’t get me wrong,
I just felt I was neglecting some of my other favorite blogs since headed back to work.
I love playing along with the Mod Squad and Paper Players
A lot of my good friends and people that inspire me a great deal
play at or design for both of those Challenge Blogs, so even if I miss a challenge
I never miss a week of seeing what both sites have been up to.
I decided to pair these two challenges together for my card!
Mod Squad has a Fruitful Challenge this time around.

and the Paper Players has a Tic Tac Toe Challenge this week.

I chose Patterned Paper, Ribbon, and Purple but
also realized that Green, Embossing, and Ribbon works too.
Now how about some details on my card!
I think if people watched me make a card they would get a big chuckle.
The ideas to change things always come when the card is nearly complete and you
can usually find me tearing it apart. Carefully I might add.
This card was true to that statement.
Before I settled on the cord bow…and I must repeat settled! I was trying to weave my
cord ribbon under my popped up pumpkin in between all of the pop dots. No luck…
why again did I use glue…they are already sticky! LOL
Also, I love the added colored dots inside my (Verve) banner template,
the added black trim around my letters really made them pop as well.
I love little details that is for sure the more intricate the better.
I think color balance is so important to a piece…. of any type of art.
I colored the pumpkin with my Spectrum Noir pens and
I stole the idea from Cindy Lawrence and decided
to photograph the pens I used. Go check out her photos …WOW!!
I didn’t have a red I was happy with so I used a prisma colored pencil too.

Of course my photo looks nothing like hers…but I have to be patient
I am still learning my new camera.
The pumpkin stamp is smoothing I picked up at Michaels and the
cool label background is from Gina K Designs.
The letters were made with an ABC set, but that is obvious I am sure.
The paper is a 6 x 6 fall pack from Recollections.
The circle behind the pumpkin and the label at the bottom are Nestabilities.
Hope you have/had an amazing Day and if your like me you have the day off! 🙂
Take care, and I so appreciate all of YOU!
