Smile!

Hello, One thing I like about Summer is that I get the chance to play in some of the challenges that I am always admiring, but rarely get to join in on. Today I decided to play along with Freshly Made Sketches. I incorporated that challenge with my 30 Day Coloring Challenge-Day 3. I am so enjoying making CAS cards these days and this one is just that. I decided to get out my Copics and do minimal colors on this pretty flower from Verve and I like the way they turned out. Speaking of Verve, Julee Tilman has decided to close Verve after over a Decade of Heart and Dedication. I admire this lady more than she knows and instead of me getting all sappy over here and reiterating what she said, I have linked up her goodbye message for you to read. Let’s just say if it wasn’t for Julee, I wouldn’t be stamping or have the friendships I have today. I owe a great deal to her! So over the next month or so, you will be seeing a lot of Verve, as I want to pay tribute to her and her fabulous line of stamping products. My only regret on this card is that I should have re-stamped the flower in black as the images lost some of their luster. However, I probably would have totally screwed it up. LOL

This flower is Verve and from the set called One Person. The die Smile is from MFT.

Masculine Card

I have a dear friend who has been diagnosed with cancer so I am in need of a masculine card to send to him. It is so sad and such a wake up call to all of us to take each day and make it special, cause you just never know. He is having more tests this week to see his prognosis and to determine the plan of treatment. We are praying for the best! Unto the card. This card is for the Freshly Made Sketch of the week that you can find Here! The tag is from Verve and the Sentiment I have had forever! The DP however is brand new. I just went to Hobby Lobby for the first time yesterday and picked up this really cool pack of paper! It’s from DCWV and is called LA Creme. LOVE IT! I don’t know if you can tell in the photo, but some of the Stars are coming through the Dark Gray paper and are not on top.

More than just Mojo…..

I have been busy this weekend….cleaning out, organizing and of course Stamping! The cards I have for you today are for the Freshly Made Sketch challenge #17 and Mojo #223. I love the DP so much, that I ended up making three cards with the same color combo. I love to do that! The first two cards are for Freshly Made Sketches and the third one is for Mojo Monday. 3- Freshly Made Sketches

Today was a great stamping day! I managed to make not 1, but 3 cards for this great Sketch Challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches. I loved the layout so much and plan on using this design again and again. Freshly Made Sketches…

This card was inspired by a sketch challenge that I found at a new web-site called Freshly Made Sketches!! At least if they aren’t new, they are new to me. Anyhoo, I have been missing my son somethin fierce lately, and he was going through a rough spot at college, so I decided I would make him a card to try and raise his spirits! He said it came at the most perfect time! Love that, and love him! I’m the luckiest mom in the world! Later, I am going to post the poem he wrote to his father and I !! Talk about touching!
