BOO

Hello, I am back today with an array of Halloween cards using a mix of products. I posted a card using the cute Pink and Main set called Hello Bootiful about a week ago, but this time I paired it with the new Candy Corn Stencil from Pretty Pink Posh. I am so excited about this product as it’s so much fun to use with fun results.

Here is a close up.

I am playing along with the Freshly Made Sketch challenge for the card above. However, I have two more cards using the sets using a circle instead. I love the way they all turned out!

I am linking up card #2 over at Happy Little Stampers Stencil Challenge and card #3 over at Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge.

Card Details: Stamps are from Pink and Main-Hello Bootiful. The stencil is from Pretty Pink Posh. Card #1 the background is just Oxide inks. Card #2. I used some clear Nuvo drops and glitter for the top of my candy corn. Card #3 actually has texture paste for the top of the candy corn but when I decided to use some glitter it kinda defeated the purpose and you can’t even see the paste. I used Prismas and Copics to color. I made a stencil out of a deckled edge rectangle die and of course a circle too. The rounded scalloped edge on card #2 and 3 is from MFT. I have dimensionals under my sentiments. I used orange glitter paper for my dots.

I so enjoy your visit and thanks so much for coming by! Nanc’

Ghostly Greetings

Hello, I have a fun large slimline card for you today using some new to-me products that I just picked up a few days ago from the Pink and Main store. I love that they have a storefront that is just 20 minutes from my house. It’s quite dangerous as it is packed with so many cute products to choose from. If you want to check out the products I have used for this card, I have linked them up for you below.

Since these products are brand new to me, I am linking up with Darnell over at NBUS.

Card Details: Pink and Main-Hello Bootiful and Square Frame Dies. I used my MFT cloud stencil and Oxide Inks to make the sky behind each image. I colored my images with Copics. I also took some glitter paper and made a thin strip across the bottom of each of the black square frames. I used the same paper for stars and dots. I have dimensionals under all four of my sentiments. I took a black sharpie and put a fine line around my purple polka-dotted paper before adhering it to the orange paper.

Thanks for stopping in and I hope you have a wonderfully creative day, Nanc’

I’m too old…

Hello, I am back again today with one more Halloween card and using the darling ghosts once again from Miss Inks Stamps. This time I made my ghosts a tad more realistic using vellum. I stamped the ghost in black Versafine and heat embossed them with clear powder. All stamped images were fussy cut as this set does not have any dies. This card all started with the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches and at least 3 things from Festive Friday. I chose Purple, Heat Embossed, die cut, and Balloon.

I have had this Halloween embossed piece of black cardstock for probably ten years and have finally put it on a card base. I don’t know whose it is as I got it from a friend, it is covered with Halloween words. I cut off the bottom so I could make the stripes for the Sketch and put my sentiment in the middle.

The card doesn’t photograph that well and looks better in person.

Choose at least 3: I chose Purple, Heat Embossed, die-cut, and Balloon.

Card Details: Halloween EF is from ?, all the stamps are from Miss Ink Stamps-Boo Sheet. The stars are dies from a set called Magical Unicorn from Your Next Stamp. I colored with Copics and then used glossy accents on the boo, pumpkin, and lollipop. The dots are made from a berries die from Spellbinders- Noel set. I like the size of them and the card was missing something and I think the pop of orange helped.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a wonderful day and a better weekend ahead! Nanc’

Holey Sheet…

Hello, I hope you are having a good week! Today I am ignoring the fact that it’s 90+ degrees outside and I am jumping into Fall a bit with a Halloween card. I saw the sketch by Anne Marie over at The Paper Players and wanted to make sure to play along. I think Teal ghosts should be a thing, what about you? Too over the top?

Card Details: Cloud stencil is MFT. I used Oxide Inks for the background. Copics and Prismas to color my ghosts. The stamp set is one of my favs from Miss Ink Stamps called Boo Sheet. The stars are made from a Verve border die.

I hope however you spend your day it has a bit of creativity thrown in! Take care, Nanc’

Last of the Boos

This is my second post for the day if you are looking for Just Us Girls…scroll down!

Hello, I am wrapping up the Halloween cards with this post today, at least I think I am. You probably don’t believe me with my track record in all. LOL. I was inspired to pull my Miss Ink Ghosts out again yesterday because of the fabulous photo over at The Color Throwdown, to my defense they have pastel ghosts in the pic! What’s a girl to do but comply. Then the challenge over at Inspired By is Who’s Your Boo! See why I had to play along?

Card Details: A lot of masking and covering for this card background. Miss Inks stamps-Boo Sheet, Miss Ink stencils Cloud Hearts and MFT cloud stencil. Oxide inks and Prismas. The heart stencil in the middle of the cloud heart is from Honey Bee Stamps.

Are you still making Halloween cards or you up to your eyeballs in Thanksgiving or Christmas already?

Take care, NANC’

Holey Sheet, It’s Halloween!

Hello, I hope your day is off to a good start or should I say ending, depending where you live. LOL I have another card using Miss Ink Stamps-Boo Sheet and I couldn’t be happier about it. I tell you they are so much fun to work with. I told you the other day that when I purchased the stamp set I also got the Cloud Hearts stencil. It was all because I saw one card over on IG by Brenda Noelke, and I was completely mesmerized by her cloud centers and the depth she achieved! Let me just say, there is a learning curve for sure as my clouds look nothing likes hers. The card is so good that I have it linked up for you, and the center cloud stencil is linked, along with a screen shot of her fabulous card below.

Here is a close up of mine!

The card below is my first attempt! Luckily the ghosts and sentiments cover a lot of the not so great spots.

Trick or Treat I don’t have feet might be one of my favorite sentiments in this set.

I was thrilled to see the Halloween challenge going on over at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge so I will be playing along there as well. FYI….They carry Miss Ink products too!

I will also be playing at Happy Little Stampers for their Stencil Challenge.

Card Details: Miss Ink Stamps-Boo Sheet and Cloud Heart Stencil, Regular Cloud Stencil is MFT, Oxide inks, Colored Pencil and some stars and dimensionals. I also did some white paint splatters.

Thanks for sticking with me for this long post! Happy creating, Nancy

Getting Into Halloween!

Hello, I hope you are doing well! I want to warn you that I have a new obsession! You are probably a bit relieved that I have put the leaves away for now. LOL However, I have a few cards with leaves that I have yet to share. What is my new obsession, you ask? These adorable new ghosts I just got from Miss Ink Stamps called BOO-Sheet! I have them linked up for you and it’s truly the cutest set with the funniest sentiments! The only thing that would be the icing on the cake is if they had die-cuts, but sadly they don’t. Although, I believe they are easy and totally worth fussy cutting! What is even kinda interesting is I am not a huge fan of Halloween, but this set just won me over! I definitely don’t like anything scary! Do you?

So far I have made three cards with hopes to make a few more before the holiday arrives. I decided to make a mini-slimline for this one. While I was purchasing the stamp set I had to get the stencil set that is called Cloud Hearts! Although I didn’t use it on this card, it is super cool too… so stay tuned! I think one of the funniest thing about this set is the iron burn you can put on the sheet. It comes with a sock too, but I didn’t use it this time! We all hate when the socks get stuck to the sheets when we pull them from the dryer. LOL

I went to Hobby Lobby the other day because hubby needed some paint, YAY! While we were there, I purchased some Black Soot Oxide ink, with hopes to darken the edges of my clouds and make more of a night time scene. Well, that turned into a hot mess and was quickly discarded in the circular file. As you can see I chickened out the second time, and didn’t have the heart to ruin these clouds.

Here is a close up so you can see my glittery stars I put in opposite corners of the card.

I am playing along with three challenges today. The TGIF Challenge where the word is Halloween and over at Tic Tac Toe Challenge I have chosen the row of Purple, Orange and Black. I have to also play along with Darnell over at NBUS, since this set is brand new to me!

Card Details: This is a mini slimline card. Boo Sheet-Miss Ink Stamps, Clouds were made with my MFT stencil. I used Oxide inks for the background. I used Nuvo glitter paste with my Tim Holtz star stencil and some Colored Pencil and or Copics to color my stamps. Lots of spatter in white, purple and black. I have glossy accents on the pumpkin and the lollipop.

I sure appreciate you coming by! Take care and Happy Creating! Nanc’

Fall Colors @ JUGS!

dsc_0285

screen-shot-2016-09-01-at-3-32-19-pmHello Friends,  It seems like forever since I have posted anything, but it’s only been a week! Judy is our hostess this week at Just Us Girls and she has picked out some terrific Fall colors for us to play around with. I am not a big Halloween kinda gal, but always like to send out at least a few cards to my immediate family.  I was thinking about this post this week, and realized I better get a move on since it’s already the middle of the month.  Once I made myself a candy corn template out of cardboard the card came together rather quickly. The sentiment is from Stampin Up. The papers are just random scraps of this and that, since I clearly don’t throw any paper away no matter how small. LOL The buttons I adore and they are dies from MFT. I know I stretched the colors a bit with my orange ribbon, but I just had to! Orange is in the same color family as rust, so I should be good! Hope you will stop on over sometime this week and check out the teams cards and join us!

challenge-215I am also linking my card up over at Addicted to Stamps and More where they have a Halloween inspired photo!  I thought my circles all over my card mimicked many moons, and I have a lot of black on my card as well, as does the photo. Take care, Nanc’
