Bike- Twofer Challenge

Hello, Today I had a bit of time late this afternoon to play in the studio, once my dad was all set for the day, and decided right away that I was going to focus my time with the Twofer Challenge in mind and cards for the stores. I was thrilled to see that Darnell chose “Your Choice” this time around for her challenge. How fun is that! Such a great idea Darnell and I hope you do it again throughout the year! I have a new set by Momento called Spring Bicycle that I have been itching to use. So you bet, I will be linking up with NBUS while I am at it too.

Here are the cards by themselves.

Card Details: Bike- Momento, balloons- Stamp Up, greeting-Verve, bows- Paper Smooches, pop dots for dimensions, gems, and twine.

Card Details: Bike-Momento, flowers and leaves are a bit of this and that, the greeting is a new set I got from Paper Roses that I absolutely LOVE called- Mother’s Day Quotes.

I hope you have a wonderful day, and let me just say all of your fabulous comments and visits mean the world to me! Thank you so much! Nanc’

Sending U Love

Hello, It is the first of February and time for the next duo of colors at Color Hues. We have the perfect pairing for this time of year. The colors Sheri has chosen for us are Red and Pink. So break out those valentine sets or what have you and play along!

A Few Card Details: I have a mix of supplies here which should not surprise you. The U die and envelope are both from Verve. The Love die is from Simon Says Stamps and the Sending is from Wplus9. My love die looks rather pink in the picture but it is red. Plus I do have red in the fun designer paper. This card came together rather quickly so I made a few extra for the stores.

Hope you will consider joining us at Color Hues! The team and our guest Julie have tons over there to inspire you!

Take care, Nanc’

Snowy Background

Hello, We have our first challenge of the New Year starting today at Seize the Birthday! Barbara has selected the topping of a snowy background. I love this topping because it isn’t something I do a lot of and I enjoyed the challenge. Plus it forced me to ink up some cute little critters I have not used before from MFT. The cute little trees are from Altenew and I just love them and I think have only used them three times. I colored the critters with Copics and a bit of colored pencils. I used white paint for my snowfall and the rolling hills are from Lawn Fawn. I used my computer for the greeting. Oh, and I inked the sky with oxide inks.

While I am at it I am going to link up over at NBUS with the lovely Darnell!

I hope you are ready to work on stocking up your Birthday cards for the year and will come join us at Seize the Birthday! That team of mine has some amazing work over there! Please take care, Nanc’

Christmas Palm Tree

Hello Friends, I am back today to share another fun fold slider card. I can’t get enough of these cards this year. I just adore this palm tree stamp and thought it would work spectacular for the slider part.

I am playing along with the TGIF Challenges where the inspiration is Christmas Trees. I don’t know about you I will take a warm palm tree Christmas over a snowy Christmas any day of the week. Don’t get me wrong I think snow is utterly gorgeous but only for a visit.

I purposely tried to color the starfish to have some texture.
I sponged the background ever so slightly and then Copic Colored.

Card Details: Front palm tree, greeting, starfish, and flip flops are all from the same stamp set from Art Impressions. The smaller palm trees are brand new to me and are from Lawn Fawn, I can’t wait to use them more. I also used…Copics, Oxide Inks, and a bit of colored pencil.

Thanks for checking in on me and I hope you have a wonderful day! I may be back in a day or two with a few more Christmas cards to share…time permitting. Nanc’

Color Hues #8

Hello crafting friends, This is my second post for today so if you scroll down you can see my Exciting News post below!!

Today over at Color Hues we have a new challenge starting. The colors that have been chosen by Hannelie and as you can see above they are Blue and Green. I thought this would make a great Christmas card combo or of course, any type of card will do. This card was inspired by this card here.

Card Details: The Bells, fern dies, and the greeting are all SU. The background stamp is from Stampabilities. I used white paint to splatter the background and the ferns as well. In hindsight, I should have put bows on the bells, but the card is long been mailed.

The design team and our talented guest Stef Perry did an amazing job. Please won’t you come by and check them out and play along?

Take care, Nanc’

New Year- Color Challenge

Today I am playing along with The Paper Players color challenge of Silver, Black, and White. I usually don’t make New Year’s cards but I think this year in particular we all will be celebrating a little more. I know I will be!

A few Card Details: My embossed fireworks are from Kitchen Sink Stamps, the champagne glasses are SU. The sentiment is SU as well. I used Silver Nuvo drops for my liquid spirits and bubbles coming out the top.

Have a wonderful day! I am off to the beach to have a late picnic lunch with my son and daughter in law. Couldn’t be happier about that! Nanc’
