Hitched

Hello, I needed to take a bit of a crafty break as my mojo was missing, so I decided instead of wasting my free time I would organize all my Spellbinders dies along with all the new supplies I have won and or purchased over the last year or so. The pile was getting so out of hand. It was quite the job and it always feels good once it is done. I wish I could say that every stamp set/or die set that I own is repackaged and labeled but I can’t. I would say I am about 85% done, and that isn’t too bad. Maybe this summer I will tackle the rest. We shall see!

Onto the card…I needed some wedding cards for the store so that is where I began. I had yet to open my new-to-me Spellbinders Sunday Drive set along with the Hitched Die set, which happens to be on sale right now, and I knew they would make a fun card. I find putting things with many pieces together can be very time-consuming but so relaxing at the same time. Do you?

I have all the products linked for you below!

Card Details: with Affiliate Inks

Sunday Drive

Hitched

Spellbinders 6

Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue

White Foam Squares-Mix

Mirrored Silver Cardstock

I was going to leave the background completely white but decided at the last minute to make a road with my Hearts Honey Bee Stamps stencil. After I was done sponging, I got the idea to make the road more defined with thin white strips of paper and I think it really helped. I used plenty of dimensionals and a bit of sequins to finish it off. I think the mirrored paper really brings this card to the next level and the cans behind the car might be my favorite part.

I am linking up with Darnell over at NBUS!

Thanks for coming by! I hope you have a great day and find some time to get crafty too! Nanc’

CAS Week- Coloring

Hello, I am the hostess this week at Just Us Girls and I have chosen a very simple challenge for CAS Week- Coloring. Can’t get any easier than that! If you choose to play along, just remember to check out our graphic and see what Clean and Simple means to us.

Card Details: Today’s card was totally inspired by Michelle Short and I have her wonderful card linked up for you Here. I used both Prisma Colored Pencils and Copics to color my sweet little bears along with a blend of pink and purple Oxide inks for my heart. I have tripled the bear dies with white card stock to add some dimension. I don’t know about you, but I do this all the time as I think it adds more stability and makes the cards more eye-pleasing. This darling set is from MFT and is called I’m Still in Love with You. My hubby was impressed with my coloring on this card, and let me just say, those praises are hard to come by.

I certainly hope you will come by Just Us Girls and check out what the DT and Guest- Karen Walker have done! This is Karen’s last post with us and I have certainly enjoyed all of her cards this past month. Thanks, Karen for being with us!

Take care, Nanc’

LOVE IS…

Ice Cream of course!

Hello, I have a fun playful card today for this week’s Color Challenge at The Paper Players. If you know me at all you know that Ice Cream is my other addiction besides coffee. As soon as I saw the colors that Claire chose, I knew I wanted to play along, I have used some fun older MFT products for my card and sadly the LOVE stencil is not available anymore but the ice cream set is and it’s on sale! I will link it up for you below. The set is amazing! I colored up more than one sweet treat but they didn’t make it onto the card. This simple card took far longer than it should have to make. My colors are a bit off and I am hopeful the TPP ladies won’t mind.

Card Details: MFT; Love is Love Stencil, MSTN Sweet Treat Stamp set, and the Bottled Cap Letters. The other stencil was gifted to me and is called Leafy Squares Slimline by Pink Fresh Studio. I used Copics to color my ice cream and Oxide Inks for my stenciling.

I hope however you are spending the day, you throw a treat in there somewhere…or two! Nanc’

Love You

Hello, I am back today and I am playing along with the TGIF challenge. What they want us to do is use a frame on our card. I have had this frame on my desk for a few weeks and it was leftover from this card I made HERE, and I just couldn’t part with it. Well, today I decided to put it to use. As you can see I decided to use my favorite set from Pink Fresh Studio- called Choose Hope.

Card Details: The outline frame was made with my Miss Ink Stamps Daisy stencil and Oxide Inks. The flower was stenciled with the PFS set called Choose Hope. I chose not to use the outline stamp and go for a soft look.

Hope you find some time today to do whatever brings you Joy! Nanc’

Color Hues and #cardsforukraine

Hello, I have a lot to get to today so I am just going to jump right in.

I was over on the Share Handmade Kindness FB group on Saturday and saw an idea by cardmaker Linda Eterno.  She suggested that the cardmaking community fill the internet with Blue and Yellow cards to show our support for Ukraine. I thought it was such a terrific idea. After I saw that post, I immediately contacted my Color Hues team along with my Seize the Birthday team to see if we could do our part for this great cause.

I sit here in disbelief with all this world has endured the past two years with a Global Pandemic and now we are witnessing a war! I can’t even believe that this is the World I am living in, and like most of you, I watch the news and just cry and feel helpless! I think making a card is the least that I can do. After all, we cardmakers stick together and we know how to light up the world, one card at a time.

So today I have two cards for you! The first one is for #cardsforukraine.

The second see of cards are for our already scheduled challenge where Lindsey is our hostess and these are the Hues of Colors she has chosen.

Here is another card I made but I screwed up and overheated the heat embossing.

I also want to take a moment to welcome my buddy Jules to Color Hues today, she was our winner for one of our last challenges and she is tagging along with us as our guest! Welcome, Jules! We are happy you are here!

Now, I hope if you are still with me after this long post you will consider joining us over at Color Hues. And, after you make your card, share it on the internet and or… over at the Share Handmade Kindness FB group, or the very least, on your blog or Instagram account. The more love the better!

Card Details #1-I used watercolored paper and did the smooching technique to make my blue and yellow papers. The leave stenciled background is from Miss Ink Stamps. The sunflowers and leaves are retired SU. The sentiment is from Pink Fresh Studio. The stitched hearts are MFT.

Card Details #2 Heart and rectangle dies are MFT, the congrats is from Impression Obsession, and the wedding rings are SSS.

Card Details #3 Same as #2- But the sentiment is from Stampin UP.

Please take care and help me spread love not hate, Nanc’

Love-Valentine

Hello, Over at the Global Design Project they have a Valentine theme challenge going on. As soon as I saw the graphic with the little envelope, I remembered I had a SSS envelope die I had yet to use and it even comes with a small card die too. The envelope is really cute as the front of it has a heart window in it. That is where I got my little hearts from to splatter around the card. The tiny black ones are a stamp. The sentiments were masked off to fit and are from SU and Verve. A cute and easy card to throw together on this dreary cold Wednesday!

Since the envelope die-cut was NEW and used for the first time I am also linking up with sweet Darnell over at NBUS!

Card Details are above!

I hope you have a wonderful day, Nanc’

In Love

Hello, Today I am playing along with the challenge over at Time Out where the theme is In Love, which is perfect for this time of year. I was in the need of some wedding cards so that is what I have for you today. I don’t often make wedding cards in red and black but thought why not, and I like the way they turned out. The Love Die from Gina K. Designs is fabulous and does all the work for you. So happy with that gift that was under the tree!

Here they are individually.

Card Details: Gina K-Love die, Wedding Rings, and Heart of Flowers are both from SSS. The small hearts are from a punch. I have used a mix of mirrored and silver, and black glitter paper. The diamond was popped up with dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by and please take care, Nanc’

LOVE

Hello, Hope your week is starting well. The card I have for you today was inspired by the first challenge of 2022 over at The Paper Players. The theme that Ann selected is to add sparkle. I found this pretty pink shimmery cardstock, that I nearly forgot I had, and thought it would be perfect for this challenge and to start on some love themed cards too. I thought my Christmas cactus made a nice backdrop. They are so pretty and I wish they bloomed more than once a year, but then I guess they would have to be renamed to something else. LOL

Card Details: The heart die and Love dies are from Simons Says Stamps. The U die is from Verve.

We are having car problems and are a single car family so looks like I will be stuck home for a few days. Oh, darn! More time to craft! Although, I should take the Christmas tree down instead….NAH!

Take care and happy creating, Nanc’

I am also joining in with the fun over at Happy Little Stampers Stencil Challenge.

Card Details: The stamps are from the Stampin Up set -Whale Down and the stencil is from Whimsy Stamps-Swish. That sweet little whale is popped up with dimensionals.
