Hello Friends, As promised, here is another card using my new SU Bloomin Heart Die and matching stamp set. So far I have made about ten cards with this die and I am not sure I am quite ready to pack it up as of yet. This particular card was inspired by the following challenges. I think the silver paper really stepped this card up a notch. If you have any questions at all, don’t hesitate to ask. Now it’s time for a Football Game! Go Broncos, but I really wouldn’t mind if the Panthers won either. I personally just like Manning better over Newton. I hope it’s a good game. I know there will be a commercial about the “Alexa” which is the amazing department my son is involved with at Amazon, so I am excited to see that one for sure! Take care, Nanc’
Hello Friends, It’s February already and LOVE month and Vicki has chosen the perfect word for us over at Just Us Girls. The word is Valentine. Just a few days ago my Stampin Up order came in and I am over the top thrilled with this New Blossom Heart Thinlit die-cut and matching stamp set! I was having so much fun the other night that I made four cards using these sets. That never happens at one sitting. Isn’t that heart the prettiest thing you have ever seen? I am seriously in Love with it for sure! I am warning you now, you will be seeing this a lot over the next few weeks, heck maybe the next month!
I am also linking my card up over at Sunday Stamps since they are the ones that inspired this GREAT color palette. Next, Mod Squad just so happens to be having a hearts and flowers challenge. Last but certainly not least, The Friday Mashup has a Valentine theme.
Before I go I want to welcome a new Guest Designer with us over at Just Us Girls. You have seen her awesome work in blog land, I am most certain. Welcome Pamellia Johnson! We are thrilled to have you with us this month!
Take care, Nanc’
Hello Friends, Hope you are having a good day, however you wish to spend it! This card will be on it’s way very soon to my son, inside his V-day care package. I sure hope he doesn’t decide to visit my blog any time soon. LOL Here is a photo of the original card and let’s see if you can see why I had to fix it!
I didn’t even realize till I was making the post. LOL And NO, I do not drink when I craft…but maybe I should. The card was made with the negative of the new Heart die from Stampin UP. It’s so very pretty and on order, however I saved the negative piece from my card club class, as I thought it was so unique. Sure glad I did! The sentiment is yet again from that Tuesday Morning set that I have been raving about! I am entering this card over at the Mod Squad challenge where two friends of mine are duo-hosting and over at Addicted to CAS where the code word is RED!
Thanks for stopping by, your comments and visits fuel my mojo and warm my heart!
Hello Friends, It’s the weekend and time for our Photo Week at Just Us Girls! Sharyn is our hostess and she has picked a great photo for us. I wish my bedroom looked like that photo, looks fresh, clean and inviting! I wanted to use my Cameo again, so I decided it would be the perfect tool to cut out an Anchor. The sentiments are partly from that Tuesday Morning Love set that I have been raving about, and the word anchor was stamped with some alphabet stamps. The great chevron background was done with a SU Embossing Folder and my inked up brayer. I first inked the EF and then wasn’t happy with the results so I just went ahead and inked the card stock some more till I achieved some good results. Please come see what the Design Team and our two-Guest Designers did with the challenge…you won’t be disappointed! If your caught in the middle of some of this terrible winter weather…stay safe! Nanc’
Hello Friends, As promised I am back again today with the second sketch from Viva La Verve this month. I did a bunch of layering for this card so you have to look closely to see the sketch, but I promise it’s there. The large & was cut from a full piece of 6 x 6 card stock. I wanted the large circle in the sketch to be the bottom part of the &. All the paper is from Stampin Up once again. The fun circle edge dies at the top and bottom of the card are from Verve, and I couldn’t live without them. I appreciate the visits and all the love you have shown me this week. I am sure this creativity won’t last forever, so I will take what I can when it comes. Take care, Nanc’
Hello Friends, I have been on a Valentine kick as of late and what I find strange is that I am not a huge fan of the Holiday, but yet I love making the cards in that theme…Kinda bizarre I know. I think it’s the colors and hearts that draw me in….I do love to create with hearts! Anyhoozel, I love the way this card came together so quickly, thanks to this great sketch over at Viva La Verve. Speaking of Verve, I used their set called Take Note, that I just love, and the paper is from Stampin Up. I will be back tomorrow with another Valentine….like I said I am feeling the LOVE! Hope you have a wonderful day and find time to be creative! Nanc’
Hello Friends, I have a Clean and Simple card for you today that goes along with the CAS Valentine challenge over at The Paper Players! About a month or so ago Hubby and I took a road trip to St. Pete to a very awesome Scrapbooking store and then later on to the Dali Museum where they were featuring work of Escher. It was awesome! He was helping me look through a clearance rack at the store. He came across this stamp set from Tuesday Morning, called Loving Words and it is FABULOUS! I know for sure you will be seeing a lot of this set in the future. I used it for the sentiment on this card. I like the font and the way the type set isn’t perfect and almost like a typewriter. So at first glance you might have thought my stamping stunk, well actually…. it’s suppose to look like that. LOL The heart was sponged using a stencil from Heidi Swap, the cute little tickets are from a Recollection Valentine set from Michaels and the paper is from Stampin Up. Happy Creating, Nanc’
Hello Friends, I hope you are having a great day! I managed to have quite a bit of stamping time this weekend which is always a win win in my book. Before I went to work I decided to go see what Mojo Monday and Viva La Verve had for us this week. I love starting my creativity with a sketch. So I made some cards for both challenges, the others will be posted later. I pulled out one of my favorite Verve stamp sets called With Love, some Stampin Up paper and my new Bow Dies from Paper Smooches that I just got and have wanted for nearly two years. My mom always said before you make a hasty purchase you should sleep on it for a few days. Well I took my mom’s advice and then some. LOL It’s hard to tell in the photo but the silver piece of cardstock is really shiny. I also took a generic polka dotted dollar bin stamp to give some flare to the white heart.
I am also going to link my card up over at Addicted to Stamps and More where it’s Anything Goes.
I hope you have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by! Nanc’
Hello Friends, Today’s card is for Trend Week over at Just Us Girls. Sue has asked us to incorporate metal on our card and or project. As I was photographing my card I realized there is NO stamping on this card whatsoever. OOPS!!! That might be a first for me, I usually at the very least stamp the sentiment. Anyhoo, As I tried to figure out what the heck I was going to do for this challenge I came across these old brads…remember brads??? They use to be so popular and then poof…they aren’t anymore. I on the other hand, still use them on occasion and still have quite a variety in my stash. Do you still use brads on your cards? I also wanted to use my SIL Cameo to print out my you. I wanted to print it in a script, but my machine or the operator wasn’t having it. The paper kept ripping when I tried to get it off the mat. After I went through an entire piece of cardstock (SU non the less, so not cheap crap) I threw in the towel and went for bold letters instead. They came out perfectly. I guess this girl needs a little more practice. The little hearts were made from a punch and the cardstock is also SU.
I am linking this card up with the the latest Sketch over at Freshly Made. I thought it was so unique and I knew I wanted to use it!
Hope you have a fantastic day and if you have sometime this week join us over at JUGS! You don’t have to use brads like me…..you can use foil papers, charms and or embossing powders. We have 2 great Guest Designers with us and the team has done a wonderful job too.
Take care, Nanc’
Hello Friends, I had a terrific time on Sunday getting crafty while it was raining outside. I just love when the weather works out according to my plans, so I don’t feel guilty about being in my studio when it’s nice outside. Today’s post is pretty chock full, so please bear with me! Julee Tilman over at the Verve Store has this Fabulous FREE Latte Love Digi Set for all of us to enjoy! Don’t delay, as it is only available for a short time. Thanks Julee!!! I absolutely love it and couldn’t wait to print it out and get to work. I am linking this card up to quite a few Challenges! The first is the Verve Inspiration Challenge for the month of September. Next, is for the 4th Viva la Verve Sketch of the month. Next, is the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, that I am sure you have run into in blog land recently. And last but not least, I am back playing again this week with Just Add Ink where they asked us to use our 3 favorite colors. This is definitely one of my all time favorite combinations! I looked at all the rules and regulations on all of the Challenges and I don’t believe I have violated any of them by linking to 4 challenges, at least I sure hope not!
Here are a few Card Details and another view of my card: I used water colored paper and and inked up and spritzed water on my Embossing Folder to get the effect I was looking for the background leaf paper. I colored the coffee cups with my Prisma Colored pencils. I spattered the same 3 colors of ink onto my sentiment panel. The heart die is also from Verve and is a must have! I distressed all the edges with my SU distresser. Added the ribbon and the button brad to finish it off. Excuse the ribbon….. I had it adhered them both to my card in two continuous loops and didn’t like it at all. So I decided to cut them while they were already in place, which explains why they are so short and are clearly the back of the ribbons, as there are no dots showing on parts of them. Epic fail there! Other then that….Love…..Love my card!
Thanks so much for sticking with me today for my long post! I sure appreciate you stopping by! Nanc’
