Mojo Monday #500 and The Paper Players

Hello Friends,  When I saw that Mojo Monday was having their final sketch (500th BTW) I knew I had to play along.  I wouldn’t be stamping or blogging if it’s wasn’t for Juleee Tilman, Verve stamps, and her fabulous Mojo Monday sketches. That is where my journey began many, many years ago.  She is putting family first and I say …..Way to go Julee!  I think that is Awesome! Rest assure she is still keeping her personal blog Poetic Artistry going along with her fabulous stamp company Verve! Thank goodness!  I paired the fun MOJO sketch along with the theme challenge over at The Paper Players as I was in need of a very special Birthday card!

The stamps I used for this card are from Verve- Small Packages set. Not sure if you can tell in the photo but my cupcake and flag pennant both have wink of stella and fine glitter on them.

I hope you have a terrific day!  Thanks Julee for all your fabulous inspiration over the many years! HUGS Nanc’

Mojo418SketchHello Friends,  Today’s card is the second Christmas Card I have made so far this year…..Whoop Woo!  I am on a roll! In all seriousness, I better get a move on!  I had a really hard time getting this photo to do the card justice.  I promise you the card looks better then this photo portrays. As soon as I saw the Mojo Monday sketch I knew I wanted to use a Verve Christmas stamp set called Pinecone Christmas for my card.  I also, have used a sticker for a sentiment….which may be a first for me.  I don’t recall ever doing this before, but I have these really cool sentiment stickers that I won over at our local Stampin store that I hate to waste.  Did I ever show you my load of stuff I won?  I was the grand prize winner at The Paper Inn’s open house.  When she called me I was shocked to say the least.  The owner  Marjorie is a sweetheart and I wish her many, many years of success! The paper pack was a door prize I won that day as well and it’s by Anna Griffin and it’s gorgeous!  I added a polka dotted SU vellum sheet to the front layer of the paper for added interest.  Again, the photo isn’t flattering to this card.

Thanks for dropping in, I will be back later today or tomorrow with another card!  Nancy

Got my Mojo this weekend!

What a fabulous weekend it was here in Sunny Florida!  Not only was the weather great, I had the opportunity to get together with a group of ladies that enjoy being creative as much as I do.  The neat part is, is that we had never met in person and had only spoken via computer over at StampTV.  So I decided that we should get together!  They came to my house and we had some lunch and enjoyed some stamping time together!  It turned out just wonderful!  And we are going to try and do it on a regular basis!  The girl time seemed to kick my mojo into geer!  Now onto the real reason you stopped by! 🙂  This card is for the Mojo Monday Sketch225.  As soon as I saw it I knew I was going to play along!  It was different and it intrigued me!

This card is for my Hubby for Valentine’s Day…let’s just hope he doesn’t visit my blog any time soon!

Have a great week my friends,

More than just Mojo…..

I have been busy this weekend….cleaning out, organizing and of course Stamping!  The cards I have for you today are for the Freshly Made Sketch challenge #17 and Mojo #223.  I love the DP so much, that I ended up making three cards with the same color combo.  I love to do that!  The first two cards are for Freshly Made Sketches and the third one is for Mojo Monday.  Thanks so much for stopping by….I love when you do!

So I hope you have a fantastic day wherever you are and you find time to be creative!

Mojo Monday-202 Contest

Let me tell you I am on a roll today.  I have made a total of 7 cards from one piece of DP that I absolutely love!  I think that is a record and I still have some of the paper left.  LOL This Mojo Sketch Challenge that I decided to try, was just that…A Challenge.  I was having great difficulties putting it together, but stuck with it and it finally came together!

I can’t thank you enough for stopping by, and always I love to here from you!

Hugs,

July Diva Dare and Mojo Monday…

I have an exciting card for you today!  I can’t often say that, but today I am thrilled with how this card came together.

The challenge I jumped on board with was the July Diva Dare. They dared us to dig into all that gorgeous patterned paper we’ve been hoarding saving. LOL  My card also works with the Mojo Monday 201 Sketch Challenge.  This paper that I chose is absolutely beautiful…and I must say it was difficult to cut into!

Hope you enjoy!

Mojo Monday…

I don’t often get to participate in the Mojo Monday challenge, but when I saw the sketch for this week I had to give it a try!  I love all the different elements and I must say for me it came together rather quickly!  The inside of the card reads…

“The old believe everything;

the middle age suspect everything:

the young know everything.”

Happy Birthday!

Thanks for all you do!!

This also qualifies for this week’s color challenge over at Stamp TV. Yellow, Red and Orange!  Would never have put that together on my own!

We are having all the band students sign the card  tomorrow and are giving it to are Assistant Band Director.  I think she will get a kick out of it!

The ribbon on the package idea is not mine….it’s from Lynn Mercurio over at Stamperosity.com…isn’t she brilliant!!

If my computer wasn’t being stupid I would link all the places I mentioned in this post, but I can’t!!! 😦

Thanks for stopping by, it always makes my day!
