You’re Manatee-rific

Hello, It’s time for Word Week at Just Us Girls. Elizabeth is our wonderful hostess and she has chosen Rainbows for us. If you hop on over to Just Us Girls you will see many fabulous and different ways to interpret our word.

Card Details: My card is a CASE of some cards by the talented Amanda Wilcox, I love everything she does and I have linked up her darling cards for you HERE! The stamp set is from Newton’s Nook. The heart was made with strips of paper and the heart die is from MFT. The postage die is from Hero Arts. I used a bit of Copics and Prismas for my medium.

I am linking up with Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies. I am glad this challenge is back from break.

I hope you will join us! Have a great weekend! Nanc’

You’re the Best!

Hello, I am your hostess this week for Word Week over at Just Us Girls. I have chosen the word-Mammals. Easy huh? I think so!

I am also joining the ladies over at Tic Tac Toe Challenge using the diagonal row of; Friendship, Free Sentiment. I noticed it also fits the column of; Friendship, Any Color and Any Shape Die.

Card Details: Stamps and Dies are from Newton’s Nook. The sentiment is from SU. I made a circle out of acetate and then used ripped copy paper for my waves of hearts in various tones of Oxide Inks. The heart stencil is from Honey Bee Stamps. I used Copics for coloring.

Before I go, I would like to welcome our newest guest Fran, to the party!  Welcome Fran, we are so happy to have you guesting alongside us for the month of July!

Take care and I hope you find some time this weekend to get creative and perhaps join us at Just Us Girls! Nanc’

You’re Manatee-rific

Hello, It’s the middle of the month already, and time for the next hues of color and Color Hues. I love the color pairing that Julie chose for us and I thought since it’s summertime here in Florida I would do something along those lines. I love these sweet Manatees from Newton’s Nook as they are just so darling and quick to color.

I am also playing along with CAS Mix Up Challenge where the challenge is to use stencils and either paste or gels as a combination. I have chosen shimmer paste from Nuvo for some added sparkle to my shells. I was happy to see this challenge blog was back!

Card Details: Manatee-rific- stamps, sentiment, and shell stencil are all from Newton’s Nook. The wave type stencil is from Mayco called Groovy. After I inked my backgrounds using oxide Inks I used some Nuvo shimmer paste for shine. My Copics are running out of ink so they didn’t color very well. Ric Rac is MFT and the other piece on the second card is the negative from the Ric Rac piece. I thought it resembled waves.

Please come on over to Color Hues and check out my Fabulous Design Team’s cards along with our wonderful guest Amy Tsuruta! I adore her and her work. I know you will be inspired! I certainly was

Take care, Nanc’

Deck the Palms

Hello, Happy Monday! YAY! I have finally started my Christmas cards and all thanks to CAS Christmas being back up in running again. They gave me just the kick in the pants I needed. Plus, I have another blogging friend joining that talented team. I was so happy to see the Lisa Elton announcement. Congrats Lisa! They are lucky to have you!

When I started this card I had intentions of putting just a small group of leaves around my image to form a wreath. I may have gotten a bit carried away, but I just didn’t like it when the wreath wasn’t full. So it may not qualify as CAS enough and I totally understand if it doesn’t.

I am also going to link up over at Addicted to Stamps and More for their Make Your Mark Challenge. They just celebrated their 10th Birthday so a big Congrats to them!

Card Details: Stamped image and greeting are from Newton’s Nook-Sun Soaked Christmas, the wreath was formed with a die from Sizzix-Spring Foliage. I used Copics and Prismas to color, and a bit of Oxide ink to make a blue sky. I did it last and I didn’t ruin it! LOL I also have Nuvo drops with glitter on my stockings. Red glitter paper for my berries.

I hope you do something today that brings you JOY! Take care, Nanc’

Look at the bright side…

Hello friends, Things are a bit hectic here but in between cleaning out closets and putting my house back together after having two bedrooms painted I found some time to rest and play along with the challenge going on over at The Paper Players. I knew which card I was going to make as soon as I saw their laughter is the best medicine challenge. The idea came from the sentiment that comes from the stamp set Manatee-rific by Newton’s Nook-Floaty Potato. LOL I will never call a Manatee by its given name ever, ever again. Also, we all need to remember when life is hard or if we are having a bad day, that we could in fact be a Floaty Potato! Oh wait, that doesn’t sound so bad after all! ;). No worries, no stress, and feeding on seagrass all day.

I don’t have very many funny stamp sets in my stash, so I had to create the text on the front of my card with my computer.

Card 2– I don’t care for this one as much. The added dies don’t look like they belong.

I will also be linking up over at Happy Little Stampers Stencil Challenge.

Card Details: The Stamp and stencil are both from Newton’s Nook. The little dies on card 2 are from MFT. I used Oxide inks for the background and some colored-pencil and Copics to color with. I made the free-from shape myself with a piece of acetate. The speech bubble die is from SU.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope whatever you do today it brings you joy and you laugh a little too! Nanc’
