It All Started with a Flamingo…

More cards below!

Hello, I just got back from taking care of my dad and had a window of time that was too short to tackle anything big, but just long enough to get this post written. My dad has an infection again and he has been my top priority since last Thursday. Well, he is always my top priority but more so now. We go back to the doctor this afternoon and hopefully, we can get a handle on it.

Sorry, you probably didn’t stop by for all of that!

As for card making, I am linking up with two challenges: Addicted to CAS– where the word is Animal, and the second challenge is Happy Little Stampers where they have Anything Goes with a Stencil.

The first card I made was the Flamingo card and I loved it so much, I started thinking about what other images and colors might work with this design. Below are the rest that I came up with.

I accidentally titled the stencil on the lighthouse card and didn’t notice it till now. Bother!

I have two stamp companies for these cards: SU, and Gina K- the Hydrangea, the greeting is from Altenew. I used ripped paper to get my edges and then laid down my stencil. I believe it is Groovy by Debbie Cole, but I am not certain. I used Oxide Inks and some Ink splatters and I was done. Hubby said he liked them better before the splatters.

Have a great day! Nanc’

One Layer

Hello, Over at Addicted to CAS they want us to make a one layer card, so that is what I have for you today!  I just love the look of ink blending using Oxide inks and sticky notes to get a straight edge. It’s quick, easy to do and usually has great results. The stamp set is from SU and I really love it a lot, I just wish it came with dies.  I really want a flamingo set with die cuts, but can’t justify having two flamingos. Do you all feel that way about buying similar stamps twice?

Thanks for the visit and have a great day! Nanc’
