I Miss You Like Crazy…

I made this card this afternoon after I completed the usual Saturday chores.  Love when you get and idea and things come together!  I am going to enter it into three different challenges.  First, the sketch challenge over at iSpy Sketches and Secondly, the color challenge over at CR84FN. And Last its for the Any Hero Challenge over at OWH.  If you are not familiar with OWH…go check it out!  It’s an amazing way to say Thanks to the Troops!!  Let me tell you a little bit about how it came together.  Once I picked out the DP (Creative Memories) and the colored card stock which is a mix of CM, SU and Bazzil I took my star stamp from SU and stamped on the tan card stock.  Then I added some distressing with SU Chocolate Ink. Used my Cricut to cut out most of my stars along with a SU scalloped punch. Made the ribbons with scissors and the sentiment is from Verve and is called Heartfelt Phrases. The tag die cut is from My Favorite Things.

Finished it off with a button and some twine and Wolaaaa!

Hope you have a great Sunday…It’s time to watch some Football…GO FSU!!!!

Thinking of You

Wanted you to see a photo of the tag that fits in the front!

Well here we have another 3 day weekend ( Woo Ho0) and it ‘s also time for some College Football…got my Noles flag up and ready to go!

The card I have for you today is for four all together different challenges…the first is for a challenge over at the Pink Elephant.  It’s a great challenge for me because I am always in need for more thinking of you cards.  You have a choice between Thinking of you or Sympathy, I chose thinking of you cause it’s more versatile.

Okay, the second challenge is for a new site that I came across the other evening.  It’s called 365 cards and they have a different challenge every single day of the year!

How cool is that!  I can now NEVER be challengeless! ~LOL~

The challenge for Thursday was to pick two: Paisley, Polka Dots, Gingham, Houndstooth, or Toile.

I picked Polka Dots and Paisley because of my gorgeous DP and my Dots made with my cuttllebug.

The third challenge.  This unique challenge is over at Case Study and they have asked us to CASE ourselves.

So take a card that you have made in the past and make it better or change it.

Well, that was a Great Idea…the card I decided to change that I really, really disliked you can find here.

I really made a big improvement, but kept some of the original ideas the same….flowers, center panel, textures, and such.

The final challenge was  from OWH and the have a celebration going on over there and they have lots of different challenges to check out.

They have asked us to create a card to  include either a Scripture verse, or an uplifting quote or sentiment.

Okay I think that covers all of them!

I can’t thank you enough for stopping in, it makes my day!

One more thing………GO NOLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OWH: What to do with cards you don’t want!

Hello Stampers…Hope all of you are doing well!  Don’t have a card for you right now, but was wondering if you would join me in this quest???

I have recently joined this great site called Operation Write Home and to make a long explanation short…what happens is the cards that we have made that we no longer want, well they get sent to the troops that are serving all over the world for our country, and in turn they send them home to their families and friends.  Isn’t that just an awesome cause!   So my point is…if anyone wants to ship me their cards that they no longer want and they are A2 envelope size I would be happy to take them off your hands and ship them to the appropriate people. Also, I will provide the envelopes too!!!!. Or you can join me and ship them yourselves.   They do have a couple guidelines….no glitter, not bulky cards, and if they are made with dark cardstock we have to line them with white so the troops can write messages to their family.  I was so excited when I came across this great site!!

Here is a link  above and if you want to check it out yourself and if you have any questions or need my address, let me know!!!

1,601,798 handcrafted cards have been deployed since 2007!  Isn’t that AWESOME!!!
