Wild Card Week- Holiday Tags

Hello, It’s the 5th Saturday of the month and that means it’s Wild Card Week at Just Us Girls. I love WCW! Carol Mc is our wonderful hostess and she has chosen Holiday Tags for us and hopefully you too! I was thrilled to see this challenge coming as it gave me the perfect opportunity to use my new Pink and Main darling snowman stamps that have been patiently waiting for me on my desk. I don’t make shakers very often but totally enjoyed making these. In hind-sight, I wish I would have put both images on the side of the shaker. The one cute snowman with his scarf and beanie hides the rolling hill and all the shaky good stuff.

A Few Tag Details: First, I ink-blended the background in Oxide Inks-Peacock Feathers, Stormy Sky, and Wilted Violet. Next, I built the shaker elements using leftover packaging for my window, inside I have a fun mix from Hobby Lobby that has snowflakes in it. I then included some fine white glitter. I colored my images with Copics and a bit of Prisma colored pencils. Then I assembled the tag using strips of Fun Foam for my barrier.

Supplies: Pink and Main; Snow Sweet Stamps and Large Sentiment Strip dies, MFT-Tag dies, Lawn Fawn-stitched Hills. Some ribbon, twine, and silver dots finished it off nicely.

I am going to link these tags up over at Simon Says Stamps where it’s Anything Goes and featuring Pink and Main products.

I am also linking up with Addicted to Stamps and More for the Make Your Mark Challenge.

Before I go, I want to take a minute and thank Lynne for being a wonderful guest this past month! We have certainly enjoyed all your work. Now, come on over to JUGS and join us! Take care, Nanc’

Butterfly in Halloween Colors

Hello, I hope you are doing well. I am back home after our trip to California and have got lots to catch up with, so I will get right to it. Today over at Seize the Birthday Vicki has chosen Halloween Colors as our topping. I recently purchased this incredible Butterfly Emboss and Cut from Pink and Main and I have been itching to play with it. I thought I could get away with using it for this challenge and make myself a somewhat Monarch-looking butterfly. It embosses and cuts at the same time. I have linked it up for you HERE!

Card Details: First I took my leaves stencil from Miss Ink Stamps and made my background using three shades of Oxide Inks and then splattered it with some black paint. I had this white frame on my desk that was made with my Lattice die from Whimsy Stamps. So, I backed it with some orange cardstock to frame in the butterflies. After I embossed and cut out the butterflies, (which are linked up for you above) I used more oxide inks and a bit of white paint to make my butterflies come to life. I used a small holly die from Spellbinders to make my gold body centers and random dots. I can’t remember where the sentiment is from as it was waiting to be used in my bits and boxes drawer. I used some foam tape around the frame to give the card some dimension and to rest the butterflies wings on.

I am linking up with two other challenges; Darnell over at NBUS as my butterflies are new and Happy Little Stampers-Anything Goes with Dies.

I hope you will pop on over to Seize the Birthday and play along with us. The DT and our guest Asa have some really great cards over there for inspiration. Take care, Nanc’

BOO

Hello, I am back today with an array of Halloween cards using a mix of products. I posted a card using the cute Pink and Main set called Hello Bootiful about a week ago, but this time I paired it with the new Candy Corn Stencil from Pretty Pink Posh. I am so excited about this product as it’s so much fun to use with fun results.

Here is a close up.

I am playing along with the Freshly Made Sketch challenge for the card above. However, I have two more cards using the sets using a circle instead. I love the way they all turned out!

I am linking up card #2 over at Happy Little Stampers Stencil Challenge and card #3 over at Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge.

Card Details: Stamps are from Pink and Main-Hello Bootiful. The stencil is from Pretty Pink Posh. Card #1 the background is just Oxide inks. Card #2. I used some clear Nuvo drops and glitter for the top of my candy corn. Card #3 actually has texture paste for the top of the candy corn but when I decided to use some glitter it kinda defeated the purpose and you can’t even see the paste. I used Prismas and Copics to color. I made a stencil out of a deckled edge rectangle die and of course a circle too. The rounded scalloped edge on card #2 and 3 is from MFT. I have dimensionals under my sentiments. I used orange glitter paper for my dots.

I so enjoy your visit and thanks so much for coming by! Nanc’

Ghostly Greetings

Hello, I have a fun large slimline card for you today using some new to-me products that I just picked up a few days ago from the Pink and Main store. I love that they have a storefront that is just 20 minutes from my house. It’s quite dangerous as it is packed with so many cute products to choose from. If you want to check out the products I have used for this card, I have linked them up for you below.

Since these products are brand new to me, I am linking up with Darnell over at NBUS.

Card Details: Pink and Main-Hello Bootiful and Square Frame Dies. I used my MFT cloud stencil and Oxide Inks to make the sky behind each image. I colored my images with Copics. I also took some glitter paper and made a thin strip across the bottom of each of the black square frames. I used the same paper for stars and dots. I have dimensionals under all four of my sentiments. I took a black sharpie and put a fine line around my purple polka-dotted paper before adhering it to the orange paper.

Thanks for stopping in and I hope you have a wonderfully creative day, Nanc’

Color Hues and Seize the Birthday

Hello Friends, I have a long post today so please stick with me!

Today over at Color Hues we are celebrating our 2nd Birthday! Woohoo! I can’t believe how quickly time goes. Thanks to ALL that have made this challenge such a success, the team and I certainly appreciate it! We hope you have enjoyed it as much as we certainly have. To join us in our collaboration we have asked our sister challenge, Seize the Birthday to join us! The Bigger the party the better! For those of you that don’t know, I took over Seize the Birthday from Lesley Croghan in August of 2013 as she was about to close it and I didn’t want that to happen. I have certainly enjoyed that challenge and my teammates immensely as well. I can’t believe it’s been 9 years!

Back to the challenges… if you decide to play along you can link your card up over at both challenges! Each challenge will have there own choice of winners!

Also, over at Seize the Birthday, we have a brand new Surprise Party Guest joining us! Welcome, Asa Johansson! We are so lucky to have you! You can find out more about her over on the STB blog! She makes wonderful CAS cards and is a fabulous colorist.

I have CASED a card from the talented Brenda Noelke. Check it out below! I just fell in love with it and everything she makes for that matter. Her photos are incredible too! If you don’t follow her you should!

Card Details: The lattice die is from Whimsy Stamps. The flowers are from Pink and Main. The greeting and scalloped die are from MFT. I heat embossed the sentiment. I used Oxide inks to make the Mums come to life.

I hope you have made it to the bottom of the post and I have inspired you to play along and link up at both my challenge blogs. Both the teammates did an incredible job with these colors, I hope you will come and check them out. We would love to have you!

Take care and happy crafting, Nanc’

Sending…

Hello, It is the middle of the month already, and time for the next Hues of Color at Color Hues. I happen to be the hostess for this challenge and the colors I have chosen are…Chocolate and Mint. I personally believe this is one of the prettiest color combos with endless possibilities! We have a new guest joining us over there today. Welcome- Kim Heggins! We are glad to have you playing along with us!

My card was totally inspired and a case of one of my many favorite card makers Sidnie Des Jardines over on Instagram. I have linked it up for you HERE! She is so very talented!

Card Details: The sentiment is made from strips of paper and a die from MFT. The Mum-flowers and leaves are from Pink and Main and sponged and colored with Copics. The background stencil is from MFT and called Watercolor Wash. I have shortened it a bit with the negative die that comes in the set, as I didn’t want the background so large. The script background stamp is a clock stamp from Stampabilites. I sponged the background lightly before stamping the script using Oxide Ink. I used some flicks of white paint for some added interest before the assembling process.

I am also linking up with the fun over at Happy Little Stampers-Anything Goes with Dies.

Now, you must head on over to Color Hues and check out the amazing cards by my fabulous Design Team and guest, I know they will inspire you as they certainly inspired me!

Take care and I hope you get to do something today that brings you JOY! Nanc’

Hello Summer

I am back with another card using this new Spellbinders Small Die of the Month called- Day at the Beach and this time I am playing along with the gals over at Fusion. I still had all the scraps from yesterday’s card on my desk so I stuck with the same color scheme. I have been eyeing the Fusion Challenge for the past week and knew that if I got my Spellbinders set in the mail in time it would work out perfectly for this challenge.

I chose to play with just the photo and not the sketch for this card. I used two elements from the photo in my design, the first one is obviously the hat with the hello on it, but the second one is the long rectangles both on the door and at the top of the doorway in various widths.

Supplies Used: Some with Affiliate Links

Small Die of the Month

Platinum 6

Pink and Main-Sunshine Die

Oxide Inks: Abandoned Coral and Peacock Feathers

Card Details: Cut strips of paper in various widths to complete my background. I used Oxide inks to sponged my sentiment and flip flops. The tiny stars on top of the flip-flops were made with an old Verve border die. The sunshine die is sponged and double mounted for some depth. I used a few gold sequins to finish it off.

I certainly am appreciative of your visits and I hope you have a wonderful day, Nanc’
