Dancin’ St. Nick

Hello, I am back today with a Christmas card using Spellbinders Dancin’ St. Nick. When I knew I wanted to make a Christmas card I came across this fun piece of snowflake DSP that I wanted to use. Then I thought, why not make Santa in a non-traditional color? What do you think? Have I broken any Christmas rules? LOL Not sure I won over the hubster, but I kinda like him.

Here are his legs moving.

I am linking up with three challenges; Time Out, Happy Little Stampers Christmas, and Peace on Earth Christmas.

Card Details: St. Nick was die-cut and colored with a few Copics to give him some life-like features. Santa’s legs can move with a stack of two small dimensionals to give the body some clearance to help the legs swing. I think the pops of silver really made the card come to life. The Snowflakes are from the Spellbinder’s Noel set. I made the snowbanks with white paper and a very old cutting device from Creative Memories.

I certainly appreciate you checking in on me and I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Nanc’

Naughty or Nice?

Hello, I am back today with another card for the Spellbinders release of Tinsel Time Collection, and I couldn’t be happier with how this turned out. As I started working on putting my card together and seeing Dancin’ St. Nick come alive, I couldn’t help but fall in love. What a jolly old fella he is. I think the Tinsel Time die-cut sentiments are super fun and coordinate so well with these fun characters.

A Few Card Details: The tags were made with a punch from Stampin Up. St. Nick was die-cut and colored with a few Colored pencils and or Copics to give him some life-like features. I have used some dimensionals under Santa, and the sentiments too. Santa’s legs can move but for this card, I chose to glue them in place. I think the pops of gold really made him come to life.

Thanks for stopping by and letting me share some more fun new products with you! I hope you have a wonderful day and do something that brings you JOY, Nanc’

Ho Ho Ho

Hello, I hope you don’t mind a bit of Christmas in July here on the blog today. I was totally in love with the Colors over at The Paper Players this week, and then when I saw the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches I thought it would be easy and fun to combine the two. Karren Johnson enticed me to make a Christmas card, once I saw her cute card and many others by the DT over at FMS. I adore this darling Santa die from Spellbinders that I got last year or maybe the year before. I have him linked up for you below.

Card Details: Spellbinders-DIE D-LITES SANTA ETCHED DIES, Snowflake Embossing folder that you can barely see on one of the rectangles. The green scallops were made with MFT’s Stitched Border Dies. The Sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and is called December Typed. I used Nuvo drops and glitter on Santa’s hat and pom pom. I also used a white-out pen to color in Santa’s eyebrows and tried to make them a bit bushy. The Postal Die is from Hero Arts.

Thanks for stopping in and I hope you did something today that brought you JOY. Hubby and I went to the beach and we lasted one hour, it’s just too hot! Take care, Nanc’

You Made the Nice List

Hello, It is December 1st already, and time for the next Hues of Colors at Color Hues! For this challenge, we are leaving the linky open until December 29th as we know this time of year can get so hectic and I wanted to also give the DT less to do. Cindy is our fabulous hostess and she has picked the perfect color combo for us for December!

I am also going to link the Jolly man up over at Addicted to Stamps and More where the challenge is Any Occasion.

Card Details: The Santa die is from Spellbinders and I adore him. The DSP is very festive and has a lot of shades of green and red in it. I used chalk to color Santa’s cheeks and nose. The sentiment is from Neat and Tangled. Lots of dimensionals and glitter for his hat and eyebrows to finish him off.

Now pop on over to Color Hues and check out the fabulous cards by the DT and our wonderful guest that needs no introduction…Michele Ferguson!

Take care and happy crafting, Nanc’

Surfing Santa Tag

Hello, it seems like forever since I posted anything and it’s only been a week. It’s Wild Card Week at Just Us Girls and Ina is our fabulous hostess. She has asked us to make Anything but a Card for this challenge. As you see above, I chose to make a Christmas tag. I am glad I chose the Christmas route as I have been anxious to finally break the seal on this new Surfing Santa by Sunny Studios. I think he is so cute! I took the easy route this week and used some fun DSP for my background, I thought it represented waves perfectly. I used Copics and Prismas as my medium. The tag die is from MFT. I have glitter on Santa’s hat and pom pom too.

I hope you will come over to Just Us Girls, and check out the fabulous projects by the Design Team. While you are there, think of something besides a card to make and join us.

Take care, Nanc’

Nautical Wine Bottle Tag

DSC_0281

Hello Friends, Merry Christmas Eve day!  The Leppek family has been invited over to our son’s girlfriends house tonight for Christmas Eve Dinner.  It’s a first for us, so wish us luck.  Hubby has strict orders to behave himself…LOL  I am taking a plate of handmade goodies with us, but wanted to also take a bottle of wine.  I knew I needed to dress up the bottle somehow,  so I let Pinterest help me out.  I can’t take any credit for the Santa tag idea, the only idea that was mine was to make it a Nautical theme!  The Montalvos are big- time boat lovers and own their own 65 foot sailboat, so I think this just might do the trick!  I love the way it turned out!

ModSquadLogoI am going to link this tag up at the Mod Squad where they have an Anything Goes challenge going on!

I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!  I truly appreciate each and everyone of you!  You make this hobby of mine so rewarding in so many different ways!

Take care,   Nanc’

Not a card!!

Can you believe I actually have something to share with you that is NOT a card?  I know, you are as dumbfounded as I was.  I have for you a fry box that you could use for just about anything and a gift card holder.  However, I cannot take credit for these ideas, that came from my fabulous Stampin Up Consultant- Debbie!  I just love her!!! I made this at my monthly card club and I knew it would be perfect for Sue’s Word week over at Just Us Girls…so I have been saving it!  Our word this week is SPARKLE!  As you can see I have some sparkle going on in various places.   The cuffs on Santa’s mittens, and his shiny belt buckles.  Now in hind-sight, I wish would have added some sparkle to his beard on the Gift card Holder.  I think this fry box die from Stampin up is so cool!  Don’t you? If you have never purchased the silver sparkly paper from SU it’s a must have!  It comes in red too….and maybe gold…I can’t remember.  Anyways,  I hope you decide to join us over at Just Us Girls and see what you can do with the word Sparkle.  If your chosen as chic of the week, you will be in the running as a possible future guest designer with us.  It’s late Friday night and I am beat…so that’s it for me! If you have any additional questions, please let me know!  Hope you a wonderful day…I so appreciate you stopping by!  Nanc’
