My Heart is with You!

We have a great fall photo for your inspiration this week at Just Us Girls. I was in the need for a Sympathy card this week so I decided to see if I could pull off combining this challenge with that type of card.  Not sure I love it, but it will have to do. I also used one of my very first Stampin Up stamp sets called Branching Out for this card. The colors are a bit muted as I used Distress Oxide Inks, and kinda wish I hadn’t in hind sight.  I added some splatters and some fun glass beads. The sentiment is from Verve!

Please come on over to JUGS and check out what the team and our Guest Julie did with the photo this week. Take care, Nanc’

Die Cuts or Punches at STB

Hello,  If you think this card is very similar to one you have see recently, you are correct.  I just loved the colors I used two weeks ago for a JUGS challenge so much that I decided to make similar one for Seize the Birthday!  The topping this time at Seize the Birthday is Die-cuts or Punches. All the products for this card are from Stampin Up.

We have a brand new Surprise Party Guest for the next three months at Seize the Birthday and her name is Marianne. Welcome Marianne…we are super happy to have you!  Now, won’t you come by STB and check out the amazing cards the team has for your inspiration and while you are there consider joining us!

Take care, Nanc’

A Day to Celebrate

Hello,  We have a real easy word for you this week over at Just Us Girls.  The word is Celebrate!  This card came together rather quickly which is a good thing these days! Most everything you see for this card is from Stampin Up. The only exceptions are the scalloped die cut, Nuvo drops and ginormous gold bee. LOL

I hope you will come on over to Just Us Girls and join us this week…while you are there please help me in welcoming Julie Beech who happens to be our Guest for the Month of September.  We are really happy to have you Julie and we hope you will enjoy your month with us!

Take care,  Nanc’

Rainbow!

Hi,  Hope you are having a great day! Over at Seize the Birthday our Topping for the next two weeks is rainbow. I really enjoyed making my rainbow background on this card.  Those Oxide inks are so much fun to play with!  The stencil I used is from SU, the Wishes is from Poppy Stamps and the Birthday is from Neat and Tangled, and last but not least those Wonky Rectangles are from MFT.   I hope you will consider joining my team and I over at STB for this fun challenge!  Their cards are all FABULOUS too! Seriously they are!!! You must check them out!

Before I go I would like to thank Trina for being such a Wonderful Surprise Party Guest the past two months!  Trina, I am a huge fan of your work and we hope you will continue to join us from time to time.

Take care, Nanc’

CAS Christmas

Hello Friends, I have another Christmas card to share with you today and it’s for the CAS Christmas Card Challenge.  The word they have for us this month is Poinsettia. I have this intricate poinsettia stamp from Verve that I just love and thought it might do the trick. I heat embossed it with Gold Embossing Powder. I decided to pair it up with this bold Alcohol ink paper that I made a few weeks ago. Besides being bow challenged it came out alright. I am going to put my Christmas greeting on the inside. The one inch stitched square die is from SU. The outer rectangle is from MFT.

I am also linking my card up over at Addicted to Stamps and More where it’s time for Clean and Simple.

Here is another one I made in a different color.

Thanks for stopping in! Nanc’

Splash Watercolouring

Hello,  Had some fun making these great backgrounds for the July CAS Watercolour Challenge.  The challenge was to use Splash Watercolouring on your project. This technique is always so fun and the results are generally good.  I can’t say I have never ended up with a muddy mess before… but haven’t we all! LOL. I have had these cute little Whales colored and on my desk for a couple of weeks now, and it was about time I got them back in the ocean where they belong.  The were colored with both Copics and Prismas.

I decided to get out my MFT wave die and cut up the fun background I created. The clouds are from SU. The stamp set is from Sunny Studios and called Oceans of Joy.  I am a bit addicted to my Wonky Rectangles from MFT if you haven’t noticed. I added some clear Nuvo drops but they are hard to see.

I am also going to link my card up over at CAS Mix UP Card Challenge ( thanks to Nancy L.), where they have asked us to Color our die cuts, stamping and your choice. Hopefully mixing both watercolors, copics and colored pencils will do the trick.

Below is the other card I made as well. I decided to leave the watercoloured panel alone for this card.

Do something creative every day! Nanc’

Ho Ho Ho

I am trying to get caught up on my goal of having 24 Christmas cards done by now this summer ( this is number 7) LOL, and I thought the sketch over at CASE this Sketchlooked kinda fun this week, so I played along. I might have taking the sketch a bit too far, but I felt after I placed my circles it was just a bit to plain.  I so struggle with CAS cards and don’t know when to say when.

The penguin stamp is a wooden block stamp that I have had for eons, this week I am trying to give some of my older stamps some much deserved attention.

Some card details: Colored with Copics and Prismas, scalloped circles are Spellbinders, the Sentiment is SU, the Ric Rac looking border and scalloped rect. is from MFT.

Hope you have a fabulous day! Nanc’

I love you….

Hello, Have we got a fun Inspiration Photo for you all this week at Just Us Girls! Isn’t it the cutest owl you have ever seen?  Well, made out of fruit that is! LOL. I really enjoyed getting out my Owl punch from SU to put this card together.  I also, used my MFT cloud stencil for the background and this fun stamp set that I have used for my branch and blossoms is from Darcies. The sentiment, leaves and tags are from my Verve collection. The leaves aren’t uniform, I just realized….some are round and some are pointed. LOL The leaf paper is from Gina K.

I am also linking my card up over at The Card Concept where they have the cutest owl pillows as their inspiration. I pulled out the bright colors for my blossoms and of course the owls themselves. I guess you would call this Clean and Layered.

I sure hope this adorable picture inspires you and I will see you in our gallery at Just Us Girls.  Take care, Nanc’

Trees at Twofer!

I have wanted so badly to join in the fun over at the Twofer Challenge this month, and couldn’t seem to settle on the perfect stamp. Then I came across a never used stamp set from Altenew, that I completely forgot I had.  They so happen to be trees!  Apple trees actually. It was fate, I tell you!  If you aren’t familiar with the Twofer Challenge you have to go check it out!  You take their theme of the month and make two completely different cards using the same stamp/ die or what have you. Darnell and the team are fabulous!

On the Elephant card I used the tops of the tree to make the clouds, the grass, bushes, and to color my balloon. Here is a picture of the stamp set so you may understand it better.  On the tree card, it was a bit tricky to line the stamps up perfectly even after lots of practice.  I think they look pretty good, but the yellow one is the best!

I so appreciate your visit.  Have a fabulous day! Nanc’

Some Card details: Tree card-Altenew Apple Tree set, SU stitched rectangles, SU Thank You sentiment, Cuttlebug-Dot EF, Tag-Spellbinders

Elephant card- MFT-Adorable Elephants, Wonky Rectangles and Sun-stencil, Sentiment-Verve
