High Tide or Low Tide…

Hello, It is time for CAS Week at Just Us Girls and sweet Lisa Elton is our fabulous hostess. What she wants us to do is use a silhouette on our card. Boy did the team and our fabulous guest Claire make some amazing cards that you must check out.

I know you have seen me make this background before but I just love it. I like that the break in the stencil makes the seafoam.

I would like to take a moment and thank Claire for being with us this month at JUGS, we certainly have enjoyed all your fabulous cards. come back and see us when you have time.

Card Details: You know I love to make ink backgrounds, so that is what I have done on today’s card. I used the Watercolor Wash Rectangle stencil from MFT, and straight piece of acetate for my horizon, and some Oxide inks to make my simple background. The stamps I have used are from one of my favorite Stampin Up sets- Hide Tide. A ten-minute card at most, with fun results.

I am also linking up over at Happy Little Stampers for their Anything Goes Stencil Challenge.

I hope to see you in our gallery at Just Us Girls this week! Take care and happy crafting, Nanc’

Make it Pop

Hello, It’s the last Thursday of the month and time for the next Topping at Seize the Birthday. Ashwini is our wonderful hostess and she has an interesting and fun topping for us. She chose- Make it Pop, which leaves a load of possibilities for you. For instance; You could use bright colors, large dies, funky images, lots of dimension, and perhaps even an action wobbler. I hope that helps to spark your creativity. I chose bright colors, stripes, and large die cuts for my Make it POP!

Over at Seize the Birthday, we have two additional guests joining us for this topping- Lisa Elton and Deepti Aggarwal, plus our Surprise Party Guest Bonnie Klass. Welcome, ladies! That is quite a line-up of talent in addition to our wonderful team! You must come by and see how everyone was inspired.

Card Details: These hibiscus flowers and green leaves were borrowed from a friend and are Altenew. The striped background was made with a SU stencil. The scalloped rectangles are from MFT. The white leaves are from Stampin Up.

I hope to see you over at Seize the Birthday! Take care and happy crafting, Nanc’

Happy Birthday

Hello, I am back today with a card for the latest challenge at The Paper Players. I love playing with my sweet friends over there and I also love Tic Tac Toe challenges, and that is what Anne Maria has for us today.

I am playing along with the diagonal row of Bright Colors, Die Cut, and Birthday.

Card Details: Pink Fresh Studio- Daisy Wreath, the Daisy stencil is from Miss Ink Stamps. The sentiment is an oldie from Verve. I am enjoying my new small blending brushes from Waffle Flower as they allow you to be more precise when ink blending. I have used a mix of Oxide inks and Catherine Pooler inks.

I so appreciate you stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day and a great week ahead! Nanc’

Sending Hugs

Hello, I hope you are doing well, and happy Monday! Today I had a bit of time to play along with the Sunday Stamps Challenge. They have a gorgeous color palette to choose from as you will see below. My card photo is a bit blurry and I realized it a bit too late, as I already put the card in the mailbox today.

For this challenge, you must use a minimum of three colors from the graphic below and I have used four. Some might say that the center of my flowers should be pink but I like that I made them the same color as the leaves and stems. We call that artistic license, don’t we!

Card Details: Gina K- Delightful Blooms stencil and Oxide Inks, the sentiment is from Altenew, and the butterflies are from Birch Press Design.

Thanks for stopping by today and take care, Nanc’

I really miss you…

Hello, I have been making cards for the store the past week or so and today it was time to do some mass producing. I have a design that is very popular and fun to do and it turns out I have never shared it here on my blog.

I am linking up with a new to-me challenge called. As You See It. What they want us to do is make a card with a Theme of the Outdoors and make it in under 10 minutes. This card takes me about 6 min. and 10 seconds. I am a bit of a slow ink blender and too much of a perfectionist. LOL

Card Details: Oxide Inks, the cloud stencils are from Miss Ink Stamps, the sentiment is from Honey Bee Stamps-Missing You set, and the palm tree is from Whimsy Stamps but sadly not available anymore.

Take some time to be creative as it’s good for the heart and certainly better than watching the news! Nanc’

Sending Birthday Wishes

Hello, I am back today with a card for the latest Topping at Seize the Birthday. Linda is our fabulous hostess and she has asked us to make a card for a child. I was asked by a neighbor of mine to make a card for her 12-year-old grand-daughter who loves to bake. I thought my MFT cupcake dies would do the trick.

Card Details: MFT- Cupcake Dies and Watercolor Wash Stencil. The Heart stencil is from Honey Bee Stamps. The greeting is foiled and from Spellbinders-Mini Everyday Sentiments. I used a bit of Copics to color and mirrored paper for my cupcake liners. The tiny hearts are a punch and a die that I keep on my desk 24/7.

I hope you come by Seize the Birthday and check out the cards by the DT and our Two Surprise Party guests! We have Hilary Wright joining us for the next two months and Deborah Wheeler is our one-time guest, as she was the winner of our last challenge. Welcome Ladies!

Take care and happy creating, Nanc’

Hello Friend

Hello, It’s Saturday and you know what that means! It’s time for the next challenge at Just Us Girls! It happens to be Color Week and Ina is our hostess. I love the trio of colors she has for us; Turquoise, Mustard, and Black. Great selection, Ina!

Card Details: Today’s card came together very quickly. First, I made a stencil using Spellbinder’s Deckled Edge rectangles. Then I blended my background in Mustard Seed and Peacock Feathers. The butterflies are from Birch Press Designs. The pre-made foiled greeting is from Pink Fresh Studio. A small gold heart and some black Nuvo drops to finish it off, (that I regret using now.)

Now, pop on over to Just Us Girls and check out the DT’s cards along with our new fabulous guest-Michele Ferguson! Welcome, Michele! So happy you are with us this month!

Happy crafting, Nanc’

CAS Week- Coloring

Hello, I am the hostess this week at Just Us Girls and I have chosen a very simple challenge for CAS Week- Coloring. Can’t get any easier than that! If you choose to play along, just remember to check out our graphic and see what Clean and Simple means to us.

Card Details: Today’s card was totally inspired by Michelle Short and I have her wonderful card linked up for you Here. I used both Prisma Colored Pencils and Copics to color my sweet little bears along with a blend of pink and purple Oxide inks for my heart. I have tripled the bear dies with white card stock to add some dimension. I don’t know about you, but I do this all the time as I think it adds more stability and makes the cards more eye-pleasing. This darling set is from MFT and is called I’m Still in Love with You. My hubby was impressed with my coloring on this card, and let me just say, those praises are hard to come by.

I certainly hope you will come by Just Us Girls and check out what the DT and Guest- Karen Walker have done! This is Karen’s last post with us and I have certainly enjoyed all of her cards this past month. Thanks, Karen for being with us!

Take care, Nanc’
