Hi Friends, Here is a card that goes along with my hosting Challenge over at Stamp TV to use a bold letter like a monogram and also was made for the sketch challenge over at ispy Sketches. Boy I really love this sketch!!! The stamp set I used to make this card is called Timeless Treasures and you can find over at Stamp TV. It was one of the first stamp sets I ever purchased when I started stamping!!
Well, it was about time I tackled Theresa Momber’s gorgeous sponging technique to make a background and stop saying someday I want to try this. Well, the someday was yesterday! I came across this Inspiration photo challenge over at FYI and knew their was also a deadline approaching over at Stamp TV for sponging, so I decided to combine the two challenges and this is what I came up with. Well, certainly you can tell that I need some more work. A couple of the colors on the edges got darker than I wanted them to, and I have a line where the horizon meets the clouds that is probably not necessary, but hey I am a newbie at this! However, I am very pleased for my first attempt.
I took my inspiration for my mountains from the sky in the photo. I didn’t use the orange and substituted pink instead.
