Happy Valentine’s Day

I have a card today that was made for the challenge over at The Card Concept. I fell in love with the photo and I had a little bit of time today to pull something together. Unfortunately, Valentine’s Day snuck up on me a bit and I didn’t get as many cards made as I would have liked.

Card Details: The flower pot and stems are from a Garden Set from MFT, and the heart flowers are an Owl punch from Stampin Up. The sentiment is also from SU. The white hearts on the pots are a die as well, but I don’t know whose it is. I used a bit of Copics and some Colored pencils to give my flower pots some interest. I wish I would have taken the time to do the stems and hearts as well.

I hope you have a great rest of your weekend and happy crafting, Nanc’

Love YOU

Hello, It’s time for Word Week at Just Us Girls. Carol Mc is our fab hostess and she has an easy one for us! All you have to do is show us some Sparkle. I thought it would be a perfect time to make one more Valentine.

Card Details: The Lattice behind the DSP is from Whimsy Stamps. The love is from Gina K. The YOU is from the Small Die of the Month Club from 2020. The envelope with flowers coming out are from Spellbinders- Parcel and Postal set. I have linked for you. The small heart dies I have on my desk full time now and can’t recall where there are from. Sorry about that.

I am also linking up with two other challenges; Tic Tac Toe Challenge using Heart, Free, and Die Cut… and Double D where it’s a Heart Moodboard.

Now, hop on over to JUGS and check out my wonderful teammate’s cards along with our guest Karen!

Some Bunny…

Hello, I hope you are having a great day! Today I am tickled to be the Guest Star Stamper at The Color Throwdown. If you are not familiar with this challenge, well you are missing out. If you know me you know I love Color Challenges. Fun fact, if I did my math right…I believe that the Color Throwdown has been around for about 14 years or so and that is just incredible! Way to go Color Throwdown Team, I certainly enjoy your challenge as do so many others! Today they have a fun trio of colors along with an inspirational photo that is perfect for this time of year!

Card Details: My card was inspired by a mix of a card I made about ten days or two weeks ago and this card Here. The background is a stencil from Miss Ink Stamps. The Cloud dies are from MFT. The sweet bunny and sentiment are from Avery Elle. The balloons were first striped with Copics and then cut out using a die from Spellbinders. The hearts are something I pulled out of a set and sadly now I can’t remember which one, as I leave them in a dish on my desk full time.

I am also linking my card up over at Festive Friday and I have chosen; Hearts, Pink, and Something Shiny

I certainly hope you pop on over to the Color Throwdown and check out all the inspiration from the Design Team and play along! Take care, Nanc’

I Think You’re a Pig Deal

Hello, Yes, I think you are a PIG deal and don’t you forget it!!! Back in September, I made a card using this adorable MFT set called Friendly Farm Faces and I just had to get it out once again, especially once I saw the sketch over at The Paper Players. However, I may have stretched the sketch a bit when I added my group of hearts on the opposite corners. I certainly hope that it is okay. This die set comes with a llama and a chicken, but I have yet to use the chicken, so stay tuned.

Because I am using this for a Valentine for Hubby, I am linking it up with the Time Out Challenge for their Inspired by Words Challenge as well.

Here is the first card I made using this set.

Card Details: MFT Die set called Friendly Farm Faces, the sentiment is also MFT and called Punny Farms. The Bows are from Paper Smooches. The hearts are a mix of this and that from my stash. I used dimensionals on their ears and snouts.

I certainly hope you are having a good week and you carve out some time to be creative, Nanc’

I’m Glad Opposites Attract

Hello, I am back today with a card that was designed around two challenges. First, I chose the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches and then, the Color Challenge over at My Favorite Things. I thought the colors were so bright and happy together and I knew they would pair nicely with my idea. I had this stenciled heart laying on my desk for a few days that was left over from a previous card and was happy to put it to use. This card could be used for Valentine’s Day, Anniversary, and perhaps even Friendship. The dotted paper was a fun find in my stash.

Card Details: Heart Stencil is from Honey Bee Stamps. The dogs, sentiment, and little hearts are all from MFT-Begging to See You set. I used Copics and Prismas to Color with. The banner die is from Pink and Main.

I certainly appreciate you stopping by! I hope you have or had a wonderfully creative day! Nanc’

P. S. I Love You

Hello, Can you believe it’s the middle of January already and time for the next Hues of Colors at Color Hues? Sheri is our fabulous hostess and she has selected a perfect color pairing for this time of year. I had trouble getting a decent photo of my card, as most of you can probably relate to, I think it’s all the shimmer.

Card Details: The background I have used on this card is called Scattered Hearts Background and my son got it for me for Christmas- he has great taste. It also is on sale right now over on the Spellbinders website. The rest of my card is all Spellbinders (Listed Below) except for the Postal Dies which is from Hero Arts and the stitched rectangle which is from MFT. I used a large piece of fun foam behind my panel to give it some depth and tripled my greeting label. I used vellum to hold my bouquet.

Over at Color Hues, we have my friend and DT member Bobby joining us as our Guest. Welcome, Bobby!

I am playing along over at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge and have selected the center row of Floral, Free, and Sparkle.

Here is a close-up.

There’s No-Otter Like You!

Hello, I hope you are doing well! Today’s card was inspired by two challenges. Festive Friday‘s Inspirational list was perfect for Valentine’s Day and I am also linking up with Retro Rubber Challenge where the theme is Love, Love, Love.

Anyone that follows me and my card-making journey knows that I love the make heart backgrounds so that is what I have done for you today. For Festive Friday, I chose Pink, Hearts, and Cute! I am not sure there is anything cuter than this MFT otter. For Red Rubber, I found out that this sweet otter set from MFT was released in 2017.

To go along with the name of my Blog and my love for using hearts on my cards, I asked hubby to make me a wooden ornament to use as a prop for photographing my cards. I love the way it came out. If you have never seen my hubby’s work I have his blog linked up for you HERE! At the top of his blog there are many tabs to make it a bit easier to navigate. He has a mix of everything…wood-working, colored pencil, wooden ornaments… etc. You must check out the wooden ornaments that he sells here locally they are amazing!

Card Details: The heart stencil background is from Honey Bee Stamps, the otter is from MFT, the speech bubble outline is from SU. I used Copics and a bit of Prismas colored pencils as my medium and dimensionals for height.

I hope you find some time to be creative, it really is helping me through these hard days! Nanc’

Crazy About You!

Hello, It is another dreary day here in the sunshine state and I decided in between some chores and a grueling headache I would try to make a Valentine card or two. I have been missing out on joining along with the Tic Tac Toe Challenge the last month or so and as soon as I saw that LeAnne had some Valentine-type squares on her board this week, I knew I wanted to play along. I chose the last row; Any Shape Die Cut, Love Sentiment, and Glitz or Glitter. If you can’t tell the heart is die-cut out of glimmer paper.

Here is card number 2!

Card Details: I finally got my hands on my favorite bear from Ellen Hutson and won’t have to borrow him anymore from my stamping friend. The stencils are from Honey Bee Stamps, the speech bubble is SU, Love die is Gina K. ,the greetings are a mix of Verve and SU. The heart was cut out of sparkly SU paper. The postage die is Hero Arts. Mr. Bear is colored quickly and terribly with Copics that are unfortunately running dry!

Thanks for coming by and please take care, Nanc’
