Have an Amazing…

Hello, I hope this post finds you well! I am back today with Photo Week at Just Us Girls and Lisa came up with a pic that I really quite enjoyed.

As soon as I saw all the circles my thoughts went right to this old Poppy stamp set from Verve. I tried to omit the leaves like in the picture, but in the end I just thought it needed a few. My flowers have Wink of Stella on them and loads of dimensionals. The Sentiment is from Verve. I also felt the flowers needed to be grounded somehow so I added the back strip. The background was inked with Oxide Ink!

Please come by Just Us Girls and check out the rest of the cards by the Design Team and guest. Speaking of guest, today is our last post with Claire! Thanks for being with us Claire, we have really enjoyed having you tagging along with us!

Take care, Nanc’

Yellow and Grey

Hello, It’s the middle of the month and time for the next hues of color to begin over at Color Hues. I have been looking forward to this color combo for quite sometime. Design Team member Karen made this selection and it’s one of my all time favorites! Did you know that it’s the Pantone Colors of 2021? I didn’t, but I love learning new things! Thanks Karen!

Here is another view of my card.

Card Details: I so enjoyed putting this card together. The new die cut set is from Sizzix and called Spring Foliage. The heart border die is an oldie but favorite of mine from Verve. The greeting is from Stampin Up. The stitched heart is from MFT.

I am going to be linking up my card over at NBUS as this Sizzix set is brand new to me.

Please come join us over at Color Hues where the Design Team has once again blown me away with their cards! The talented Amy Kolling is joining us too! Welcome Amy! We are thrilled to have you along with us!

I hope you have a very enjoyable day! Nanc’

Great Ideas…

I couldn’t agree more with my sentiment on today’s card.  However, I did manage to give up my 1 Coke a day habit in May, but I don’t dare even try to give up my coffee kick.  I think no Coke may be one of the reasons I’m down 14 pounds since the beginning of summer. Just so you know, I am rather slender person and really didn’t need to drop that much. You didn’t stop by here to listen to my quick diet secrets, you are here to check out this weeks card for Just Us Girls.  This card was made with a little bit of everything….mostly Verve, some fun DP, and some MFT.  This card was so fun to throw together, and it was a great distraction from life too!

This is our last week with our fabulous guest Ros Crawford over at JUGS.  Ros, we have really enjoyed all your terrific cards and sure hope you will join us again when you have the time.

Time for more coffee before the day begins,  Nanc’

Congrats on your Retirement

As the school year is coming to an end, I have been in the need of a few Retirement cards.  I was blog surfing to my usual challenge sites that I follow, and I came across Stamp Ink Paper’s 100th Challenge.   I knew this was going to be perfect for the card I had in my head.   By the way….Congrats to them and their Design Team for such a milestone!   I grabbed one of my all time favorite butterfly sets from Verve, my favorite color combo of Kraft and shades of Aqua, Pool Party Ink, and one of the best techniques-heat embossing and went to work.  Here are a few more details: The sentiment I chose is from Stampin Up and the leaf die is from Verve as well, plus I can’t make a card these days without my stitched rectangles from MFT. Look at the DP, isn’t it awesome? So basically the entire card was made from some of my favorite supplies!

I hope you are enjoying your weekend however you wish to spend it!  Take care,  Nanc’

Presents

dsc_0304

STB ToppingsHello Friends,  Let’s get right to it shall we!  It’s time for a new challenge over at Seize the Birthday and our topping for the next couple of weeks is Presents. I’m just going to come out and say that I am not a fan of this card, but we can’t love them all now can we?  I think the best part about it is the Happy that I made with Washi Tape. The present looks like an after thought, even though the present was stamped and colored first. The cool star borders are from Verve and the star stitched dies are MFT.  The present stamp is from who knows where…. something I have had for eons.

Now come on over to Seize the Birthday and join us!  I know for sure you can do a better job than I did with this one.  My talented team and guest designer Sherrie sure did!  Speaking of Sherrie!  I would like to give her a HUGE thanks for being such a fabulous Surprise Party Guest the past two months and hope to see you in our gallery from time to time!

See you at STB!  Nanc’

Coloring and Meeting Teammates

DSC_0006STB ToppingsHello Friends, Good morning from Seattle!  The sun is shining and it’s going to be a great day!  Before I get to my card! Let me tell you why I am so excited, besides the obvious, spending the next four days with my son! Today while Ty is at work, I am having lunch with my friend Colleen, one of my teammates at STB.  I am so thrilled that she went out of her way to come to Seattle so we can meet in person!  She is bringing another card making friend along by the name of Linda, who is on the Merry Monday Design Team and I can’t wait to meet her as well!  I am sure we will all hit it off right away!  That is one of the many reasons I love this great hobby of ours, the genuinely good people you get to meet along the way, thanks to the internet!

Okay,  It’s time to break out those pens, pencils, markers or whatever you choose to color with and join us over at Seize the Birthday for our Coloring Topping.  The challenge starts today and runs for about two weeks, so I hope you decide to join us.  Before I got started, I knew I wanted to use this beautiful rose stamp set, but didn’t know what direction I wanted to take it, until I decided to CASE myself. I chose to color my image with my Prisma colored pencils.  The awesome die cut is from Verve, the other word-stamps are a mix and match of pieces of other stamps to make this sentiment work.  The EF is from Stampin Up that I sanded for some added texture.  Here is a pic of my other card that was made back in 2008 when I first started blogging.  Wow, it’s been that long!

Before I go, you MUST come on over to Seize the Birthday and take a look at all the amazing cards from my teammates and Surprise party guest Patti. They did an outstanding job!

Hope to see you at STB!  Time to go out and tackle the streets of Seattle! HUGS!

Celebrate Baby Girls

DSC_0034

pp280Hello Friends,  It’s Hump day for me…Wooohooo! I can’t wait for Friday to get here, Idk about you!  The office staff at school asked me to make a quick baby card for one of our employees. I didn’t have a whole heck of a lot of time, so I through this together last night.  Not in love with it, but they were, and that is all that really matters. The one button die (from Verve) at the bottom of the card came out red when it’s clearly pink. The sentiment is a mix of this and that and the cute little giraffe is something I picked up god knows where. I love the look of taking my rectangle stitched panels and putting them back together like a puzzle, however the panels have a little gap that I am not quite happy with on the bottom and I am hoping the word GIRLS has covered it up a smidgen.

I am linking my card up to the Tic Tac Toe Challenge over at the Paper Players.  I used the horizontal middle row of….Die cuts, Pink and Girly.

Thanks for coming by and seeing what I have been up to…hope you have had sometime to be creative too.  Nanc’

Merry and Blue!

DSC_0058

ModSquadLogoHello Friends,  Hope you are doing well and enjoying the hustle and bustle of the Holidays approaching!  Toady’s card is for two challenges.  First, my dear friend and Birthday Sister, as we lovingly refer to one another, is hosting this week over at Mod Squad and my card works in her challenge perfectly.  Well, I always want to play along, but time is not always on our side, now is it?  I used 5 of the 9 ingredient for my card! My card also is being linked up over at the Fusion Card Challenge where they have this beautiful blue Christmas tree for their photo inspiration.  I am using the photo not the sketch.Sketch09

As promised, when I showed you my green speckled Christmas card a few weeks ago, I mentioned I would be posting the blue one at a later date.  I really love this one the most!  Even the photo doesn’t quite do this card justice, it’s really sparkly and pretty in real life.

I am going to link you back to my other card as to save time if you have any questions on how I did this one.  You can find it HERE!  I so appreciate you taking the time to comment and stop by, it means the world to me!  Enjoy!  Nancy’  P.S.  I have 7 more cards to make…I can see the finish line! WoooHoooooo!   Quick question for you!!  Do you finish the inside of you Christmas cards when you are making a lot…or do you do it later?  Just Curious! Nanc’
