Snowflake Ink Lifting

Hello, I have an interesting Ink Lifting technique for you today using a die-cut instead of a stencil! However, I can only assume Jennifer McGuire has probably done this before and you have probably seen it or even done it yourself. LOL I didn’t have a snowflake stencil in my collection and wanted to try my hand at CASEing a card of Kristina Werners. You can find it Here!  Hers is much prettier than mine, but I needed to minimize the card as I wanted to keep it CASAnyways, I have some new die-cuts from Memory Box that I have been wanted to use. First, I sponged three colors on some watercolored paper using Oxide Inks. (pic below) Next, I cut out variations of snowflakes out of water-colored paper. Then, I sprayed them with water and quickly laid them on the oxide inked paper to do some ink lifting.  It worked! As you can see below. You do have to be careful an not to use too much water but also make sure it’s enough. I loved the way the paper snowflakes picked up so much of the ink, that I decided to add them to my card front.  That wasn’t the original plan. Next, I splattered the card front with some white paint. The Peace Diecut was from a dear friend.  I am not 100% sure whose it is. I do love it though!  This card was super fast and easy to do!!  I am linking this card up over at two challenges, Just Add Ink– where the word is Season, and CAS Christmas where the word is Snowflake and   So if you have an idea and don’t have the stencil for it, check out your die-cuts and give this a try!  It’s lots of fun!  Thanks so much! Nanc’
