Rainbow!

Hi,  Hope you are having a great day! Over at Seize the Birthday our Topping for the next two weeks is rainbow. I really enjoyed making my rainbow background on this card.  Those Oxide inks are so much fun to play with!  The stencil I used is from SU, the Wishes is from Poppy Stamps and the Birthday is from Neat and Tangled, and last but not least those Wonky Rectangles are from MFT.   I hope you will consider joining my team and I over at STB for this fun challenge!  Their cards are all FABULOUS too! Great Ideas…

I couldn’t agree more with my sentiment on today’s card.  However, I did manage to give up my 1 Coke a day habit in May, but I don’t dare even try to give up my coffee kick.  I think no Coke may be one of the reasons I’m down 14 pounds since the beginning of summer. Just so you know, I am rather slender person and really didn’t need to drop that much. You didn’t stop by here to listen to my quick diet secrets, you are here to check out this weeks card for Just Us Girls.  This card was made with a little bit of everything….mostly Verve, some fun DP, and some MFT.  This card was so fun to throw together, and it was a great distraction from life too!

This is our last week with our fabulous guest Ros Crawford over at JUGS.  Ros, we have really enjoyed all your terrific cards and sure hope you will join us again when you have the time.

Color Week!

 

It’s time for Color Week at Just Us Girls and Angie has picked out such a bright and happy color palette this week.  I decided to incorporate the fast Watercoloring Technique from last week onto this card as well. Although, I only used it on my Hummingbird this time around. The background for my card was made with the same paper from SU that I have used before that I dearly love. All you have to do is rub it with some Oxide Inks and VOILA, it makes a beautiful resist background. The flowers are from MFT and so is the Wonky Rectangles and Flourish too. The hummingbird stamp is Gina K Designs and the thanks sentiment is Verve…who else!

Happy 80th Birthday!

Hello,  It’s time for our next challenge over at Seize the Birthday! It’s Anything Goes (as long as it’s Birthday related )this time around and the card I have for you today was something I made quite a while ago but never posted.  A very good friend of ours and former principal was having an 80th Birthday party and I wanted to make him a special card.  My friend and fello DT member Lisa over at Just Us Girls sent me some Pivot Pop Up pieces from Lawn Fawn so that I may use it to make this pop up card. She had sent me a card personally using one and I fell in love with it!  It was so much fun to make and pretty easy too!  The fun DP is from SU, and is my ultimate favorite, and sadly no longer available.  The Stars are MFT and the greeting is Verve.  Gotta run as life hasn’t improved and time is precious!    So, Please join us over at Seize the Birthday! Fast Watercoloring

Hello,  I don’t have a lot of time today to write the post, so let’s get right to it! Today’s Trend challenge over at Just Us Girls is Fast Watercoloring. If you haven’t done this technique before…. you MUST give it a try! It’s really a lot of fun!  Thanks Sue for pushing me outside my normal way of coloring and card making.  I knew Beautiful Day by Altenew would be the perfect set for this technique.

Beach is the Word!

Hello,  I made this card a while ago and wanted so bad to make a replacement card this week, but that didn’t happen. So, I am afraid you are stuck with this one. The fun DP is what carries this card, along with the fun shell dies from IO. The wave die is from MFT. The sentiment and square dies are SU.

Now I know this card didn’t inspire you…so PLEASE head on over to Just Us Girls, as their is a ton of it this week over there! I would also like to welcome our new Monthly guest Ros Crawford.  I am so happy you are with us Ros!  We know our guests will be inspired by your work and we hope you will enjoy yourself too!

Water

Hello,  Hope you are having a great day so far!  Life has hit a big bump at the moment and I am hanging on by a thread! My dad (88) fractured his pelvis and I am running on fumes.  So bare with me the next few weeks or months till things settle down. Today is the start of our next challenge over at Seize the Birthday.  The topping we have for you today is Water.  Luckily for me this card has been done for quite sometime or I wouldn’t have had anything to share with you today!  I can’t even begin to tell you where this image is from…it’s a digital I printed about 5+ years ago. I used my colored pencils, some MFT and Lawn Fawn dies to complete my card. The sentiment is Verve of course!
